{( This is an rp between Huyu and Heulwen )} Heulwen was exploring around in the trees, looking up at the marvel of the light somehow descending down upon the ground between the light cracks of the trees branches. She was on her way to the river clearing, planning to get a nice cold drink, and maybe a bath; her fur was feeling abit coarse, and it needed to be groomed and shined out. It wasn't long before she heard the sound of light rushing water, and up ahead she could see a lighter patch of green grass, and bright blue, almost as blue as the sky. She smiled, pleased that she finally made it to her destination. Lightly trotting she want towards the river, moving down the current so calmly it seemed almost inviting to take a swim. Before doing so though she bent down towards the river, lapping up the water modestly. the cool water very soothing to the tongue.

Huyu had finally let his thirst get the better of him, and he slowly made his way to where he could hear running water. He treaded quietly, keeping to himself and doing his best not to disturb any of the plants that were in his path.
Upon reaching the edge of the forest line, about 5 yards from the banks of the river, he froze, seeing another Minya already there. This one was different, however; she had beautiful orange feathered wings. Unlike himself, navy blue with snow flakes and white powdered coloration, she probably didn't stick out like a sore thumb in every season but winter.
Taking a step backwards, he did his best to keep hidden, too shy to even talk to her.

She stopped for a moment from lapping up the water, head held high and ears shifted around. She could have sworn she heard light footsteps.. She wasn't sure, and she was almost convinced to stop and move around to see if her thoughts were indeed confirmed, but she didn't think it could be something hostile, or it probably would have come out of hiding already. Thinking it was just a simple creature roaming about, she shrugged, and once more lapped up some water, then sat down closer to the river and lightly, warily prepared to dip her paw into the water, unsure of it's temperature. As soon as her paw delicately touched the surface of the water, she drew it back fast, feeling light chills. But she once more tried to get her paw in, and this time trying to resist the cold. Upon the contact this time her back fur shifted uncomfortably, but tried to resist, putting most of her paw in. drawing her paw back once more, soaking wet and dripping, she rubbed her paw against her opposite are. she was trying to get her body at least somewhat damp before attempting to take a dip into the river. She didn't like the method of making it fast and quick with just a jump into the water. she didn't like that.

Huyu watched quietly as the female finished drinking, then began to dip her paw into the water, pulling it out quickly. By that reaction, and from the slight chill in the air, he assumed that the water probably was pretty cold.
Stepping out from behind the tree, he watched her curiously as she dipped her paw in and held it longer before pulling it out and rubbing it against her fur. Taking a deep breath, he slowly let it out, feeling his heart racing, thumping hard against his chest.
"You shouldn't go into the water.... If it's too cold, you'll get sick...." His voice was soft, hardly above a whisper.

She stopped once more, ears swiveled towards the direction where she heard the voice, which she automatically identified as male. Following her ears, her head turned around to look behind her, and felt surprised as her eyes suddenly hit the Minya's deep blue, and white color. He indeed looked pretty stunning, with the light hitting on him. She Looked over then from his body, sheepishly towards his face, but not quite, as she usually did, see eye to eye with him. "W-well, I don't think the water is too cold.." She said shyly, her tail randomly swishing back, up, and forth, accidently dipping her tail into the river water and she gasped, hopping forward. Despite the cold she still tried to still show she didn't feel the water as too cold, even though she was doing a pretty bad job doing so. "S-see? It's fine.."

Blinking and feeling his face getting warm under her look, Huyu shifted uncomfortably. He then watched her tail go into the water, and raised an eyebrow. His tail twitched a bit and he gave a small smile. "Are you sure? It really doesn't look like it's warm at all with that gasp...."
He felt terrible for putting her on the spot, and instantly lowered his head, looking down at the ground. "I'm sorry...." He mummbled quietly. "Shouldn't have said that...."

Heulwen felt her cheeks flush, a tenting of pink underneath her coat, seeing that she failed to convince him that it didn't seem that cold. Although she felt bad for having him apologize to her when she didn't seem to have done anything wrong "Please, don't apologize. you didn't do anything wrong with that comment.." She crouched, curious, looking up at him. "I'm pretty sure it won't be that cold when long enough in the river. You could join, if you'd like," She shyly offered. Besides, her fur would dry wierd if she allowed it to dry when only damp.

Huyu slowly looked up at her as she spoke to him. She wasn't mad with him? Well, that was a relief, maybe they could end up as friends. She seemed nice and quiet, just like him.
At her offer of swimming, he shook his head. "I... don't like getting wet..." In truth he actually didn't know how to swim, and the idea of dipping himself into freezing water just wasn't appealing. "Thank you for the offer though.... My name is Huyu." He bowed his head to her.

"Oh, that's fine." she nodded in understanding. Unable to help but be curious. she wondered how he kept his fur sleek and smooth then. He must self groom himself, which she decided to take her question as that. She then began turning her back on him, heading closer to the river's edge before replying to his intro, "I'm Heulwen, daughter of Falcon and Ayleen" She introduced herself, dipping once more her paw in the water and resumed lightly damping her fur, before attempting to dip in.

So her name was Heulwen; that was a really pretty sounding name too. Looking down at his paws, he nodded. "Oh...so you have parents...?"
He'd grown up by himself, he couldn't even remember seeing his parents when he came out of the orb.

Now at this point Heulwen was gently tapping her soaking paws on her head and face. The cold felt overwhelming to her eyes, but it didn't take long for it to feel that way "Yes, I do. Although I don't see them as often as I do now." She nodded, bending down to resoak her paw and then working on chest down to her stomach. "Do you, have any, parents?" She asked curiously, hoping she didn't possibly touch a tender spot from that.

Huyu shook his head, looking back up at her. "N.... no... I don't remember ever meeting them. I don't even know if they're still alive...."
He looked up at her, shivering as he watched her wet her fur more. Just watching her was making him feel cold. "You should visit them more... Having a mother and father is something really special...."

"Oh.. I.. I'm sorry, Huyu." She said sincerely apologetic. She was afraid about an answer like that, although she couldn't help but ask. "I try to sometimes search for them, but It's kinda hard, sometimes. I tend to lose my way. I'm sorta cluelessly lost that way." She said sheepishly. Then when she was completely damp, having only a pinch of cold in her, but still somewhat neutrally warm in temperature, she got up on four paws and loomed over towards the river, and stepped her paws into it. It indeed felt fairly cold, and it was around as deep down to her shoulders, so as she stepped in she felt the cold rush up to her like a wave. It made her shiver, but she tried to keep herself calm and to 'embrace' the cold.

Huyu smiled and shook his head. "No need for apologies, you didn't know." Watching her wade into the water, he looked up and down the banks of the river, then, when spotting a rather large rock jutting out into the water, he walked over to it.
Leaping up on top of the rock, he sat there, not wanting to leave Heulwen alone while she swam. He didn't have a good feeling about it being so cold, and if her paws went numb, she wouldn't be able to feel where her feet where.
"I don't know if I'd ever have the courage to find them... the left me for a reason, and I don't want to be a burden on them."

Heulwen was kind of enjoying her time in the water. she hoped this would help smooth out her fur more and become more sleek that it's former coarse self. "Aww, that's a sad idea to think about. I'm sure they must have wanted you. they just somehow were unable to stay long with you..?" She hoped what she suggested was more helpful than offensive. sometimes she was sure that some parents would have wanted to keep and raise their kids, and somehow just were kept away from doing so, or had to leave their child behind without a choice.
