I've noticed, even in myself, that many are dreading the moving worring it will be a disappoint, due to most movies are that are based off books, but none the less still really want to see it. I've discussed with other fans about it for a little while now. In my oppion I'm worried for how it might turn out due to for one when you read a book your own picturse and ideas come to mind for looks and sounds and voices. So when the movie comes out everything is going to be mainly different from what most think. Not only that but parts will be taken out and who knows how well it can be pulled off. Don't get me wrong I'm not bashing the movie. I do indeed want to see it, a lot out of curocity purposes but as a huge fan of Twilight I worry if it will be a let down. Many have high expectations of the movie which brings on the worry that it won't be as we imagined. Who else suffers from the horrible delema of wanting to see the ever so great series be turned into a movie but fears what it could become?
Everyone just discuss rationally and calmly. No flaming others opions.

Yeah I feel that way. I really wanted to see Stardust because I read the book and I saw it yesterday and I loved it even though they changed it around a bit I still feel that they captured the essence of the characters and the feel of the book.
That's my only wish for Twilight that they capture the characters emotions and the feel of the book.

One of the first things that made me start to worry was seeing Meyers pic of actors. Even through she has no say I worried who the people making the movie was choose. A lot of the ones Meyer picked out looked like Prep (no offense to anyone) cloths models. I mean Dear GWAD Carisle (sp...i think) Looked like a teen surfer boy! xd

Oh, lord, that's totally me. I'm beyond excited for it, but at the same time I really don't want it to be released. I'm afraid they might ruin it.

because i love twilight, i really want to see the movie, i wont say that i wish it hadnt been mentioned [twilght becoming a movie] but then i would always wish it had been, mainly now the reason i dont want to watch it, is because the cast is pretty unpredictable, and i dont really know what the outcome is going to be..

I don't know... I'm a little worried about it, but that is only because it is coming out so fast. I mean it is late Feburary(sp?) and they don't even have all the people cast yet! And its suposed to come out December 12th??? eek

It's totally me that's worried. I'm so scared that the movie is going to shatter my whole image of Twilight...And I can't ever imagine anyone being able to be as perfect as the Cullens.... Oh well...But the actors/actresses that have been chosen aren't my favorites though.

I'm scared that its going to be wonderful, and very successfully, and there will be even more Edward fan girls.
I guess I'm being bitter. XD But, I kind of wanted this to be a small book. Not at all as big as it has gotten. I am glad that it has gotten this big, for Stephanie's sake. But. I'm getting sick of all the 'OMG! EDWARD IS SO _____'.

Actually I heard that they were keeping the movie pretty close to the book. I mean, they cut a couple of scenes out just like all the other movies, but they're keeping it pretty close.
And----THE GUY WHO'S PLAYING EDWARD DOES NOT FIT THE PART!!!! HE CAN NEVER BE AS INCREDIBLY HOT AS EDWARD IS!!!!!
(insane fan girl here....haha)
I think the guy playing Jake fits the part, though. He's really very cute.

I agree. Haha it kind of makes me want to yell at all of the girls that have only recently started reading Twilight and are like "OMG I'm like her biggest fan and I love Edward more than you" -chokes-
But yeah, I really do want to see the movie just because I want to know if it is going to be disappointing. Even if it is I'll still buy the movie. I'm kind of excited because I think the casting for Carlisle is perfect. It's exactly how I pictured him.
Everyone has said that they think the actors chosen for Edward and Bella suck. From what I have seen of behind the scenes stuff they're going to be really good. Plus, after looking at the pictures of the Cullens for a while, Edward is almost as attractive as he's supposed to be.

Yeah, scared it would be a gargantuan dissapointment, but I want to see it though. Hopefully it wouldn't sound as bad as people make it sound like. I heard that the movie is like a total wreck now.

i think it willbe great...I've been seeing alot of stuff about the movie and I notice how there's alot of similarities to the book. As long as there's at least a few similarites (really good ones!) then I'm totally excited for it.
I like how it's comming along, and I really want to see it. (although i'm not too psyched for the whole flying in trees thing...)

The movie is NEVER as good as the book, so I am apprehensive about how the Twilight movie will turn out...of course that doesn't stop me from completely freaking out and going mega-fangirl when I hear even the SLIGHTEST mention of the movie. blaugh I guess I'm going to have to live with however the movie turns out, hopefully Stephenie won't let it get out of hand...rather, out of book.

I agree completely. I just read the official summary for the movie and it already seems a little twisted. Movies based off books are always a disappointment for the reads who know all the little details (*cough*me*cough). Take the Golden Compass for example. They didn't even bother ending the movie in the same place as the book. And the Harry Potter movies. They have been getting farther and farther away from the books. The Lion, Witch and the Wardrobe was decent though. So I don't know what to expect from the movie because sometimes a book based movie is good and sometimes it isn't. Let's hope this one is but I'll see it anyway.
