Kizuka rested at the back of the cave, bulging stomach now depleted and her womb's contents a nuzzling, furry pile pressed against her sore tits. The female watched them with a faint smile, occasionally nosing one away from its suckling to let a more deprived cub take its place. Seven.. she could hardly believe it. Oh, she'd certainly blown up in the last few weeks of her pregnancy... but THIS?!

The rain dripping from the mouth of the cave helped to assuage her worries, however. The Storm King once again smiled on them, she had a wonderful, attentive mate.. and this litter would grow to know their homeland. As their elder sister had, merely.... not quite so dry. The lioness with her ruined voice laughed and pulled one of the girls who had finished eating from the pile of the others. She put the cub between her paws to begin bathing her. Three of the cubs had been 'blessed' with their father's peculiar shade of green, if not in full in splotches as their mother's gift. Green and brown... and blue. Had Kizuka not have met Audilifu, she may have been surprised at the colour--and especially at one of the younger girls. A bright pink mistweaver! As funny as it was, it also lifted her heart.

A pair of twins were darker than most traditional Mistweavers, but not so flamboyant in colour as the rest of their litter.... and there was one boy, a gorgeous blue-grey colour, that looked almost unlike the rest of his family entirely. Kizuka thought he resembled her own father, but the memory of that male was hazy. Either way, there was little to deny the cub's heritage....

A slight frown crossed Kizuka's maw. Their heritage was also .... "otherworldly," in a fashion. Though none of them had been born with wings or so obvious markings as to denounce Ushaufu for what he was, she worried that there would be other things. Were the mortal children of gods any different than their peers? She hadn't ever thought to ask... or if she had, she'd dismissed it out of fear for the answer.

Well.. it was far to late to be fearful, for here was the entire collection awaiting their father's presence and a meeting with the rest of their pride. Kizuka smiled; they had a pride.

A soft mewl fluttered from the maw of the young cub as she was pulled away from her siblings, the greedy little glutton angry that her turn at the food had been ended. Little indigo eyes flashed open, finding a face above her that she knew well. Though she seemed less than pleased that she wasn't getting as much food as she wanted, the attention seemed to be more than enough compensation for her. She settled down comfortably between her mother's paws, going so far as to roll over on her back and expose her belly up for grooming.

The small little eyes turned towards her brothers and sisters, watching them squirming at their mother's side, suckling away peacefully. She watched contently from where she lay between her mother's forepaws, feeling just a touch smug that she was getting most of her mother's attention for the time being. Her eyes shifted back to the female with a soft mewling, her paws braced against her mother's nose as she leaned as best she could to give the tip of it a small lick.

One of the girls, whom seemed to be less prone to gluttony than the others--of course, she was also quite small despite being the first born-- turned away from Kizuka's side when the blue marked girl was chosen rather than herself. It would be inaccurate to say that she was jealous, but certainly that feeling was quite close to this emotion. Her brilliant red eyes, bright as the father's than barely yet knew, lifted to watch her sister.

Kizuka took notice of where the children's attentions were; she tried to keep track of them, though with their numbers it was rather difficult. A soft chuckle vibrated through her throat and into her captive's stomach, though the bath continued. That amusement only became more obvious as the red-eyed cub made her weak, scooting way towards the bathing area.

When she reached her sister's upside-down face, the dark-pawed cub raised one weak, wobbly paw and batted at her nose.

Ushaufu had been pacing, back and forth, back and forth in front of the cave's mouth, under the pouring rain. There'd come a time he'd been forced to retreat away from the cave in question, spreading his wings, plunging into the sky... his pacing had no doubt driven Kizuka up the wall as she was giving birth, and thus in pain, the lioness had managed to snap at him. Not like he blamed her; he'd needed out anyhow. It was either a flight (sticking near the cave in question despite being over it, rather than beside it - his instincts would not let him abandon his post in case someone would dare attack him mate in such a vulnerable moment), or rush into the cave to loom over the lioness. Needless to say he'd picked the former, because something told him the later would not exactly be appreciated by his mate.

So thus, the Mighty God of Deception had been reduced to a nervous bundle of nerves whom could do little more than fly in circles over the den in question. He might've remain there for a while longer, but something, probably instinct, indicated he was needed below. After only a moment's hesitation, he swooped down from the sky and landed awkwardly on the wet floor, his large wings vanishing from view as he entered the cave, "Kizuka...?" the darkness only allowed him to see her brilliant eyes, and he lingered the entrance, rather than barge in, blinking owlishly at her.

Meanwhile, within the mass of cubs, the twin remain intertwined one against the other. They'd long back finished eating and were now doing that what newly born cubs did best; they were sleeping. Or something like that, for as the commotion near the bathing area occurred, the female twin whined softly, her nose seeking out her mother's chest and paws as she wiggled on over. Her brother was not to be left alone though and he clung to the lithe female's dark form, whining in turn. NO fair! He wanted her back!

Kimaji was most confused about everything that was happening lately. The rains were here, the fabled rains she had heard about in stories about the great Storm King. And so she had spent much of her time roaming through them, playing in the rain like the child she still was in mind. But the jungle she knew was changing, and once-familiar landmarks were disappearing. Even her Mommy, the stable influence in her life, was changing; she had gotten bigger, gotten another 'daddy', and now she was missing.

Kimaji thought she could smell her Mommy nearby, but she wasn't used to finding her way around in the rain yet; it smelled like there were other lions too, younger lions, and Kimaji knew that couldn't be. As far as she knew, she was the youngest Mistweaver. Still, the lioness had to investigate...

The Small nearly solid blue brother of the lot... kneeded his tiny paws into his mothers side for the warmth and goodness of food, the safety of her side and the warmth of her. So comforting in this unfamiliar and cold.
It left him tired and full when he did finally loose, his belly taught with milk and he tottered on small legs before something between laying down, and falling over against one of his mother's feet with a tired huff and smacking of his small maw to clear away the last of the milk froth.

"Ushaufu," Kizuka replied when her mate returned to her. She stopped her cleaning of the blue one for the moment, chuckling softly as the two girls pawed at one another. Adorable. The mother smiled at her mate and raised her head to greet him when he reached her. "... your children would like to meet you."

The young female had been perfectly content being the center of her mother's attention for the moment. Her little maw split into a grin that proceeded a few childish giggles at the feel of her mother's own chuckle, and her little paws continued to bat playfully at her. They found, for a moment, the tuft of white hair that dangled down from her mother's head - batting at the tip as it danced over her face.

Then, with an 'ooph' a paw was batted against her little mug. Rolling her eyes upward with her head still upside down, she was greeted with the form of her darker sister in quite the silly view. Her paw closed around the one that had batted at her mug, said mug opening and giving the brown paw in her clutches a gnaw. It was gentle and playful, but ultimately cuter than anything else.

As her mother spoke, her deep eyes shifted to the male that had come in the door. Her head cocked, upside down as it was still, and her tail wiggled below her. Well, he was kind of funny looking..
