I want everyone to take this test, which must be wrong, because I am in fact a republican, but it's showing me a centrist!

Is that from the 'World's Smallest Political Quiz'? Here's a link: http://www.theadvocates.org/quiz.htmlIt says I'm a right-leaning libertarian. I would describe myself as more of a libertarian-leaning rightie, or somewhere on the border between the two--but close enough.

The test said that I was a statist. I'm not sure how accurate that is.

Premature_Fear The test said that I was a statist. I'm not sure how accurate that is. I don't think 20 or less questions can really state your political positioning in my opinion!

I got that one dot, that bordes Centrist, Conservative, and Libertarian together. Although, I consider myself a coservative.

Well, that's right, well I may have faked it... Mine said conservative.
And it was dead on. :]
...and I wouldn't be caught dead in this place.

I got Libertarian. I'm inclined to agree with that. I agree very firmly in Libertarian beliefs and I think many of you would agree with most of their views. Clint Eastwood explained it best when he said Libertarianism was, "Everyone leaves everyone else alone." It's probably the closest modern political view to our Founding Fathers. However, I still consider myself Republican due to some crucial disagreements I have with the idealistic nature of Libertarianism.
(Note: According to the test, one square over would have put me in the Republican zone. So I'm pretty okay with the outcome.)

These tests are garbage. Every single one of them I've taken places me as a centrist. Political compass actually situates most Democrats as in the right of the spectrum. They're basically designed to skew your position to the left.
