Sasha sat on the couch near the fireplace and sighed. 'I have so much work to do. Teachers are really being hard on us this year.' Looks at the stack of books beside her and sighs again. 'Oh well, better get started.' Takes a book from the top and opens it.

Perched at a window seat, overlooking Hogwarts Castle's beautiful sloping grounds, complete with sunny sky and luscious-looking green grass, was what appeared to be a rather large pile of books. Until one of the large tomes was moved, however, and Marketa Prochazka's head and neck emerged from the book-mountain. She rubbed her face wearily and sighed; she'd fallen asleep here last night, then, having just woken up moments ago. This is killing me, but I must keep it up! she thought miserably. She knew she had to keep working and studying, though, because otherwise she would never be able to get a proper job and take care of Yvonne. My precious little girl...and Sirius will be coming to meet her this Christmas! Goodness, how the time will have flown. Yvonne very well may be crawling by then, and I will have missed it all...I do hope mother and da are taking good care of her...

Yawns and puts the book down. Sighs again. 'I wish I had someone to study with.' Cracks her knuckles and picks the book back up and continues working.

Marketa, still trying to get a crick out of her neck, accidentally nudged one of the precariously perched pieces of her book-cave, causing the entire enclosure of literature to go crashing to the floor with both a loud thud and rustling of papers. "Ach, do prdele! Do prdele tebe, blok." she grumbled in Czech, having otherwise been severely chastised for obscene language if a teacher were present. She then resigned herself to drop to the floor herself and try to tidy her book-flood alone.

Hears a crash and sees Marketa struggling to pick up her books. Puts down her oh-so interesting book on curing rashes and goes to help her. "Looks like your stuck doing a lot of work too." Grins. "I'll help you with picking up these books.'

Marketa looked up and smiled in a trained fashion. "Oh, dtank you." She managed to scoop up a few more books and put them in the place she had just been sitting. "Um...your name, I forget it..." she said apologetically, biting her lip.

"Sasha. Its okay though, everyone forgets it." Picks up some books and places them on the table neatly. "I'm not exactly the most popular person at this school. I do know some people, but most of them are in different houses."

Mar felt a blush rise to her face with guilt. Sasha seemed to have a way of saying things that were perfectly normal to her but made others feel distinctly guilty. "Well, per'aps...erm..." She looked down at her hands, still leaning on the floor even though the books were cleared. "...Me and you will be friends, yes?" She asked in a rush, far too shy to be used to this sort of thing.

"Sure, that'll be great." Sasha smiles. "And I am really good at Transfiguration if you ever need any help in that subject."

Marketa smiled shyly. "Okay, dtanks. Dat would be good." She couldn't even begin to think of how much she would appreciate help with her steadily falling grades.

Marketa smiled. "Well, I tink I'm ok for now, but t'anks. I should go," she said.

heart And that conversation begins now. <3 heart
Sirius looked around the deserted Hufflepuff common room - which, he didn't fail to notice, was a whole lot more charming and heart-warming than the Gryffindor one - and said, "Well, I think we're safe here... for now at least."

Marketa sighed with slight relief. "Good," she said, making her way over to sit on the goldenrod sofa, still holding Sirius's hand. She stifled a yawn behind her hand as she sat.
