There was certainly one very big con of venturing out as soon as her fillyhood days were over, and that was not having a very keen sense of direction. She sometimes felt like she was traveling in a neverending circle; the trees and the snow-covered earth always did look the same. It had been a long while since she'd seen her mother and father, let alone her dear brother Aiolos. He was never one to stay in one place. He was afterall, super Aiolos. There were probably damsels in distress he was saving right at that very minute.

A light smile graced her lips as she walked slowly through an untraveled part of the forest. It looked barren, at least, since there were no hoove or footsteps that marred the sheet of precipitate. Her brother was held in the highest regards, at least she held him so. She knew her other siblings did not get along so well, specifically Zevach and Marius, but she and the dark hued stallion were particularily close. He was, simply put, her savior. So not being able to hang out with him and fooling around instilled a very strong feeling of lonliness in the greenish-blue mare. He had plenty of friends as a colt, so was he off with them? She pursed her lips amost jealously, but rolled her deep blue eyes at herself.

Now she was acting like a child!

A sigh passed her lips and her small smile returned. Well, he had to be happy wherever he was. She wished she could say th same for herself. She adored exploring and taking in the world around her, but unfortunatley the trees or birds did not prove to be very interesting conversation.

Althalus was a wanderer. Though his sense of unruly behavior, adventure and excitement had dimmed some - he now mostly wandered out of curiosity of what he might find beyond the horizon - the sunset male still found pleasure within his walks. Though he often found himself alone, stuck with the memories of his loved ones to keep him comfort, he found that such loneliness was easily well worth it when face to face with a new friends. Acquaintanceship was perhaps a better definition, but Althalus preferred to think more positively than that - he wouldn't easily forgot a face, and hoped that those he met might indeed be just as touched.

Still, on cold and dreary days such as this, the young stallion found himself in want of one of his friends. Where had Aiolos found himself? And what of Caely and her honey mane and hair? Mmph. He thought most frequently of the pair - they were his closest and dearest friends, and it seemed that no matter what others he met. . . none could usurp their positions as favorites within his heart.

Which was for the best. He cherished them above all and wouldn't dream of seeing it any other way.

Thankfully though, fate had lead him within a direction that took him perpindicular to Cicely. The woods were untrodden and clean, and he picked up his pace to a trot. Every time his hoof crunched through the snow, he couldn't help but grin - albeit a bit apologetically. Wreckless thing he was, ruining this serene landscape. Now if only - - -

Wait.

Ears flicked and landed on a sound, a crunch-crunch of what could only be steps through the snow! Whatever it was held weight, like him, and the silver eyed male couldn't help but quicken his pace in hopes of finding the source. It didn't take long, and what he saw made his heart jump with glee! The figure was almost familiar - but those swirls were a dead giveaway. He had yet to meet any that weren't within his best-friends family that held such swirls! The ghost-teal hue that predominated her body, the black mane and tail - yes, he had seen her once before within his foal hood! Althalus had briefly met his double A twins family, though it had been quite brief and long ago.

Cicely was it? Aiolos spoke fondly of his sister, and it thrilled Althalus that he might get a chance tobetter acquaint himself with the lovely lady. She was - unsurprisingly - beautiful. But, he knew he'd best keep himself in check. . . This was his best-friends sister!

Clearing his throat, the stallion made sure to walk louder than he had, so as not to startle her should she not have heard his earlier approach. "So it appears that I was wrong in assuming these woods were quite alone, m'lady," the silver eyed stallion stepped out from the underbrush that hadn't hid his form in the least, grinning with amusement at the mare. "I for one must say I am far from displeased by such a correction." And wasn't that the truth!

*** ((Hope you don't mind the slight recognition. I'm sure within Aiolos/Althalus' friendship he would have, if only very briefly, met the family somewhere. ))

She must have been too deep in her thoughts, for she did not hear the best friend of her brother coming her way. When she thought of Aiolos, she only could hear his voice in her ears. Memories of fooling around, him always in the lead of races and her trailing behind... Him always somehow finding a way to beat her at some game. It was all very frustrating, but he was supersonic. He was practically a super hero, and thus dubbed Super Aiolos by herself and probably her siblings. In the quiet forest, it was easy for the mare to become subdued by her thoughts. She practically put herself in better times, overlooking the childhood that eluded her now as an adult.

Of course, she was always quite jealous Aiolos made such good friends. She was always a little too stubborn to make friends, or to ditzy. And after her leg became limp, it seemed like the other fillies and colts were not as intersted in playing tag with the filly who was easily caught. She snorted at the thought, but almost chuckled. She was never really fond of the game. Aiolos, Zevach, and Marius were all too fast for her! Eponine was probably too, though she had never met her older sister. An etheral beauty, she recalled her older brother saying once. Than again, Marius once said that the filly Aiolos always hung with was very charming as well.

Cicely had always presumed that perhaps her dear brother may have fallen for the chocolate filly. She remembered her vaguely, just as she remembered the sunset-hued colt who... What were they called? The Double A team or something? Whatever it was, her brother spent a lot of time with those two. He was happy, and so was she.

Hoofsteps alerted the mare of someone coming. She stalled, eyes flickering about to find from where. A voice pierced through the silence, and startled, the mare was quick to step back sharply. Deep blue eyes went immediatly to the source, her face showing blatant surprise that someone else had been traveling the woods. Cicely took in the stallion's form, finding something quite familiar about it. The rust-colored mane and the orangey coat... And the silver eyes that were very sharp in her memory. He looked just like the colt that was around so much in her fillyhood! But, could it be him?

At his grin, she fet her muscles relax. "Oh, well--" She tried to compose herself, her voice lost as sh tried to find something coherent to say. She had not expected running into anyone today! "Yes, you were quite wrong, but so was I," a light grin tugged at her own lips, "and I'm certainly fine with being wrong as well." She took a few steps forward, away from where she had backed up. "Though I will say I did not hear you until the very last few seconds. Sneaking up on a mare! How very admirable." Though he had attempted to not startle her, being the dense thing she was, she was fully at fault for not recognizing the oncoming visitor sooner.

Althalus felt a moments concern as the aqua ghost seemed surprised, almost scared by his approach. The way the muscles in her shoulders tensed, the way she stepped sharply back and the surprise on her features alarmed him - had he been too pushy in his approach? Should he not have spoken so soon and allowed her to see him first? Oh dear - he hadn't meant to startle her so swiftly. With luck, she wouldn't turn tail and bolt!

Still, his moments surprise was quickly washed away by her smile and her sudden recomposure. She lost her fear, or at least seemed to relax a smidgen more than she had earlier. That was good - he hadn't meant to scare her. Dipping his head, allowing his red locks to fall down over his neck and face, the sunset male gave a breezy, and pleasant smile, one meant for Cicely all herself. "Ah, forgive me m'lady for such sneaking - it hadn't been my intention to startle, surely. I shall keep your advice in mind to stomp louder upon my next approach." He tossed her a good humored wink, silver gaze playful. Bridging the distance between them, he studied the ghost of a mare and couldn't help but appreciate his friends sister - her colouring was so unlike his own splashes of orange and red that it intrigued him.

Part of him wondered if he needed to introduce himself again to the mare. Did she recognize him? Part of him wondered if she should - he'd only met her once, briefly, long ago. And even his secret ego couldn't condemn her for NOT remembering who he might be. They were young, and he didn't hold any expectations for anyone to remember his face.
