Slytherin, scowled at the sight that greeted him. It was one of his first trips in the soquili land, and it remained unpleasant with its fine greenery, and blooming flowers and rushing riverbreds. "What a quaint scenery." he said sneering, in disgust. He enjoyed stepping on the grass, and the flowers beneath him, welcoming the cracks beneath his hooves. "Despicable." he muttered under his breath, wondering what this land had in store for him.
His kalona wings, jerked as he felt a hunger rise within him. A blood that thirsted for blood, and meat. Licking his lips, a smile curving on his lips as a movement caught his eyes, a glimmer appearing in its dark red depths. Walking closer, he curved his arrow shaped tail around the prey as to immobilze it before feeding upon it. A glimmer of a fang appeared, as he bared his lips ready to tear apart the trembling creature trapped within his grasp.

The day had dawned bright and clear, filled with promise. Gryffiene loped easily across the green hills, her mind bereft of any real thought. She was drifting, content with the feeling of wind rushing through her mane and the soft pounding of hooves on damp earth. The scent of rich grass and sweet water reached her and she took a deep breath, savoring it --
-- the stench of blood and fear made her senses reel. She snorted, her eyes widening as she searched for the source.
Nothing met her maroon gaze, so she followed the smell instead. Her hooves were nearly silent as she stepped carefully on the mossy forest floor. She was wary, cautious... but she couldn't supress a gasp at the scene that met her as she stepped into a small clearing.
In a flash she stood between the stallion and the two-legger child, her tail lashing angrily as she brandished her horn at the kalona. He was a lot bigger up close, now that she took the time to really look! Her heart started beating harder, but her gaze remained leveled at the green male.
"Find a different meal, Kalona." She was rather proud her voice wasn't shaking. Gods, this morning had started off so well, too!

Surprised at the new figure that had appeared within the clearing, he paused for a few brief moments as his jaw went slack and his grip loosened on his prey, the small two legger. The two legger, had probably seen the opportunity of running, and had done just that. Letting out a muttered stream of swear words, he glared at the pale unicorn standing before him.
Now he had known his initial reason for surprise, although his mind was slow to register it. The tell-tale sign of the gryffindor imprinted on her lower body, the colorings of red and gold that adorned her body, and especially the scarf. Granted, she had a different form, but a unicorn. "How befitting of you, Gryffindor. " he began with a slow drawl. "I would have thought, you of all people would realize who I was. .. but I shouldn't have expected that much from you. " he smirked, hoping to unnerve the unicorn, whom he had always despised.
"After all, you are Gryffindor. But I suppose you werent entirely wrong in calling me a Kalona." A pleased smile curved his lips, as he enjoyed the fear that emanated from the small unicorn. It was to be admired, her posture and steady gaze for standing up to him, since the other houses were unlikely to do the same. His gaze still remained on the unicorn, as he flicked a gaze towards where his prey used to lay, and her. "..now. How will you compensate for my lost meal? Offer yourself, perhaps?"
