hey this ish teh first topic i made here! 4laugh YAY!!!!! 4laugh
ok SO today i waz bored so i checked teh see how teh spell xenas name in greek! 3nodding but teh E just made a eh sound so i picked teh i that made teh ee sound! mrgreen ANYWAAAAAY greek letters got number value to them or somthin neutral an all of teh letter in xenas name = 666! eek

Whether Gabrielle can hold her own really depends on when we're talking about. Season 1 Gabrielle? No. Past S2 or S3, probably.
And if we're going to get nitpicky about ancient Greek, their 'x' makes a 'ks' sound. As I understand it, the producers chose an 'X' instead of a 'Z' because it seems more exciting visually...
If it were pronounced the more Greek way, Xena would be related to the root word for stranger or foreigner (xenos... Xenophilia is the love of strange/different/exotic things and people, not a Xena fetish).
Sorry for the weird rant...
And on a completely off-topic note, my favorite restaurant used to be a place called Zena's. It was Lebanese food, though...
