Subterranean Levels: Reconnaissance Report
These underground ways hold many secrets within them. They also seem to withhold many dangers with them, as well. Like certain areas above the surface, none of them seem to hold as many paranormal sightings as the underground world. And along with these reports of spirits and apparitions, hundreds of deaths that have gone accounted for as being under 'mysterious circumstances.' Even sightings of the supposedly deceased Alma Wade has been spotted here, but only by the deceased former point man of the Alpha F.E.A.R. squad, the deceased sergeant of Beta F.E.A.R. squad, and even Lieutenant Chen. Lieutenant Chen is the only living one who has reported in seeing Alma (or some sort of embodiment of her) and lived. Many have seen the spirits and lived, but more have died who have encountered them.
The fields underground are considered to be secondary to those on the surface, however to Commander Shepard, all fiends should be taken into consideration. He feels that it would be safest to deal with the enemy forces above and below ground, as well as throughout the nation. He does not find it logical to only hit the vital points in order to assure victory. He wishes to eliminate all personnel who continue to threaten the safety of humanity to make sure no-one will rise against ever again. As for Commissioner Betters; he believes that once Paxton Fettel is taken care of, the Nightcrawlers are disbanded, and ATC is liquidated, everything will fall back into order. However, he does sometimes assign F.E.A.R. agents to inspect and secure areas of the underground, despite his better knowledge.
