One thing I've always appreciated about japan's culture was their flair for creativity and uniqueness--which really seems to be expressed by the way they dress. Lately I've been trying to set myself apart from everyone else at my high school that seems to dress exactly the same as every other person. And I've got a sum of money that I was looking to spend on importing clothes straight from Japan. But the thing is... I'm not too keen on any of the name brand's they got goin' over there. Any ideas on any popular brands (or better yet, websites)?

- And uhm, I'm the sort of person that shops at places like Pacsun, Zumiez, Macy's, Urban Outfitters, etc. So please, no hot topic-esque stores lol.

a lot of j-style for men is actually Calvin Klein, BVLGARI, Hugo Boss, etc.

Japanese clothes isn't really that special.

Pick up a magazine of "Men's Egg" or "non-no" and it should give you some hints. Essentially, most rock esque guys would wear a fitted button down dress shirt with low-profile figaro necklace chain with small subtle pendant, maybe one or two rings, a matching watch, and slacks or loose-fit jeans with a leather belt.

However, if you are honestly hellbent on japanese styling in more the urban subculture aspect, www.jd-zoot.com is where i've bought a few of the Hiryu lines. however, wear anything other than the jeans and expect to get jumped. urban culture in jp is more geared towards chinpira (low level yakuza that're only slightly above gang member level).

Japanese men's fashion = italian, french, and some american designers.

Spike your hair, bleach it, add two or three earring pierces on your left ear or one on both, wax your eyebrows and nipples, and get yourself some stuff from Macy's.

I hope that helped.
