so, recently, I've discovered a strange outburst of gullible idiots on my server. They are willing to believe anything and everything they are told, including Nefarian is tameable and that under the lava in IF theres a buyable phoenix (they saw the Ashes of Alar linked)
Anyone else experiencing this phenomenon? Please discuss: things that you've done to newbs tricks people have pulled on you (if it was me, I'm sorry!)

Well, there was this one time when a Alli went into the Sewers, and thought he was talking to horde. He was like. "Oh wow! Am I talking to Hordes?" Everyone was like. "Yes, we are the Horde." xDD
Tell them, that if you can climb on top of IF, there's a guy who gives you instant level 80, even though it's not even in the game yet, along with 10 000 gold. =D
I have yet to get tricks pulled on me. xD I told a Newb that if he could jump higher than a mounted human on a mechanostrider, I'd give him 10000 gold. xD He tried. Another one? I was playing on this horde server.. then I tried to apply for a raiding guild. xD The guy was like. "I got this one." "100000 gold, and you're in." I'm like, OKAY! I tried. xD

When new plays ask for gold, i like to put like... 1000g in a trade window then go AFK. I come back 20 min later to see if they are still there. wink

With the booming population of WoW, you tend to get more noobs than experts.
Happened a while back:
Hey can I have some water? Sorry, not water-specced. O, Is anyone water-specced?

When I was a newbie.. A blood elf ran me through RFC to build up my trust, then at the end of it, he told me that there was a treasure chest down in one of the lava pools and that it was harmless.. I beleived him.. He laughed at me then ignored.. I hearthed... :p

the only thing i hate about the noobs is the begging for gold (and probably asking what's so good about [Dirge] after seeing it spammed in trade chat)

suicidal_marmot the only thing i hate about the noobs is the begging for gold (and probably asking what's so good about [Dirge] after seeing it spammed in trade chat) lol Dirge....waste of money...especially since you can get the OH Glad dagger easy now. The influx of n00bs was caused by the leveling increase, making so they dont play long enough to learn their class in its entirety, and those damned commercials.

You always get them this time of year. Everyone got it for Christmas and the WoW commercials probably aren't helping much. confused It's also why some of the realms have waiting queues to get in that they haven't had since BC.

Rainbow_Blender it still is a big deal for lvl 40's who are on their first character.. i've been playing for half a year before bc came out, mabye longer. I've been playing since release; I was in the beta. Back then having a level 40 mount was as rare and as cool as having a phoenix or a death charger is today. I remember the gnome rogue who was the first player to get level 60 in the history of WoW. mrgreen (I was level 31 at the time, flipping out about how cool travel form was) In those days EVERYONE was a noob, and 10 gold was A LOT of money, and anyone with a Blue item was totally Badass, and there was this wonderful sense of awe and wonder and community that's just totally gone now... :daydream:
