Mordana's eyes opened slowly as she stretched out sleepily. She rolled onto her side and looked up at the sky. It was early morning, by her guess. She blinked a few times and rose to a seated position, rubbing her back against the rough bark of the tree under which she'd slept. Stretching again, she stood and took a few steps out of the shroud of darkness the canopy had provided. She shook the dust and dead leaves from her fur and gazed about, trying to locate something interesting to amuse herself with. Seeing a medium sized rock nearby she bounded over to it and looked at it curiously. Digging her paws under one side of it she pushed on the ground with her hind legs and tried to lift the rock. It shifted, but did not lift. Mordana settled back on her haunches and stared hard at the rock.

Eve had been taking an early morning stroll, deep in peaceful thoughts about the beauty of nature, when something pounced past her and stopped short by a medium sized rock Eve had been eyeing.
Eyes open wide, she stared at the orange ulaya that had brushed past her, obviously not noticing her, and started to giggle uncontrolably. The female ulaya was definately trying to attack the rock.
"I think its dead already" she called out, amusement sparkling in her eyes, as she observed the female trying to make the rock move, to no avail.

Mordana blinked, startled, and turned her head to see another ulaya that she had undoubtedly passed on her enthusiastic way to the rock. She chuckled at how ridiculous she must have looked bounding over to this rock like a ulaya possessed. She turned fully and called out, "Dead, yes! But I need to flip it over so it can work its tan on the other side!" She laughed, amused by this newcomer already. Certainly the other female would appreciate what was under this rock.

Eve grinned back at the other ulaya and made her way over. Once she had crossed the few feet that had before sepperated the two females, she raised a still amused eyebrow and said "Ah, its tan?" she giggled "I tend to use rocks ot tan on, but thats just me..." blinking at the other ulaya in mock seriousness she continued "...and I can totally see your dilemma! We have to do something for the poor half-tanned rock"
Putting a paw on the rock, she turned away and quibbed "Well? Lets get to it! Can't leave it to fry on one said all day!"

Mordana chuckled, not able to fake a serious expression over such a ridiculous thing. Still, she didn't want to spoil the surprise that the rock was hiding so she sidled up next to the other female and dug her paws under the other side of the rock once more. "It's sort of stuck in here, you see, so we'll have to lift hard." She smiled at the other female, her eyes shimmering with mischief. "Ready?" She pulled hard on the rock, hoping to get what was under it. She was fairly certain this was the rock. She'd seen another ulaya place something under it, though what she couldn't be sure. Obviously that ulaya had wanted to be rid of it, so now Mordana sought to give the item a new home. She pulled with all of her might on the rock, more determined than ever now to find this thing that was under it.

Eve's bright eyes shone with anticipation, and a large grin formed on her face, not being able to maintain the fake serious facade once the other ulaya started laughing.
Nodding in understanding, she dug her paws under the rock herself and got ready to give it her all. "Ready when you are" she said with anticipation.

As the two pulled together the rock began to move from its place. Progress was slow at first, until suddenly the rock broke free with such force it sent both ulaya backwards onto their backs. Rising, Mordana immediately pounced the hole, anxious to see what was inside. She moved to one side to allow her companion to see as well. She cocked her head to the side, not sure what to make of their find. The rock had at one point been buried deep into the earth and surely had only the top been visible. Someone had dug it out and fashioned a lid out of this rock to conceal this hole and use it as a hiding place for random things. Inside was a collection of colorful and polished stones, probably from the nearby river. They glittered playfully in the morning light.

Eve gave a surprised yelp as she flew backwards and landed painfully on her back. The ulaya next to her got up quickly and bounded back to the stupid rock, but Eve needed just a few seconds more to regain her senses.
Sighing at the pains she knew she would have for the next few days, she grudgingly got up, and padded back over to the orange ulaya. The other female had been nice enough to leave some space, so Eve could see what their discovery had lead to for herself.
Her eyes widened in surprise as she saw glittering stones winking back at her as a result of the high sun. She honestly hadn't expected to find anything else but perhaps bugs or something of the like. Blinking a few times, her oddly bushy tail flicked back and forth and she thought hard about their find.
"Maybe we should just, you know, put the rock back" She said carefully "someone obviously didn't want anybody else to come across these stones"

Mordana pondered for a moment, gazing at the stones. She didn't want to steal them, but she couldn't help an impulse to sift through them and examine the lovely stones. After all, nature had spent so much time in the polishing of them and perfecting them, it would be a shame that only one creature should gaze upon them. So many had colorful spirals and designs embedded on them. She turned to the other female and furrowed her brow. "Don't you want to look at them at least? We aren't taking them, so no one should get mad." She wasn't sure of her own statements, but she needed the reassurance of another before she could dig into the hole full of tiny splendors. She was glad for the company, suddenly, for this find would be meaningless with no one to show it to. She smiled at her companion suddenly. "My name is Mordana, by the way."

Eve watched the other ulaya's face as she thought. On the expressions her face took on, it was evident that she didn't want to give up the stones just yet. Sighting silently, Eve realized that the playful side of this ulaya, that she before had been genuinly happy to experience, meant that she couldn't see the harm in... "checking them out" so to speak.
When she finally spoke, Eve's observations were confirmed. She mulled it over for a few seconds, and saw the uncertaincy in the orange ulaya's eyes. "Hnn..." she really wasn't sure if it was a good idea, what if the owner came back? But she knew she was fighting a loosing battle against not only the other female, but her own curiosity. Damn her mind for being so knowledge obsesssed
"I suppose it couldn't to look at them for a little while" she finally said, as she glanced back up at the other ulaya, as she introduced herself "Eve" she smiled giddily "I'm Eve"

"Good to meet you Eve." Mordana grinned and turned her attention back to the gaping hole full of shiny rocks. She reached a paw in and drew out a large amount of them and spread them on the ground in front of Eve for the two to look at together. She wasted no time in rummaging through the stones, turning them this way and that and exclaiming as to the beauty of this or that stone. She looked to Eve, hoping she enjoying their find just as much as she.

"Likewise" Eve giggled slightly before also turning her attention back to the stones. They were absolutely amazing, especially spread out like this. Although she was still a bit apprehensive, she was glad that she had agreed to looking at them! It wasn't every day one would find something like this!
She turned her head slightly and grinned at Mordana, before turning slightly serious again. "I wonder what they are for... I mean, I guess they are pretty, but... I kinda have a feeling that they must have been collected for some reason or another..." Eve trailed off.
She wasn't looking at Mordana anymore. Her eye had been caught by a specific rainbow colored stone. It looked like it had a shell in it. It was a fossile most likely. She was completely transfixed by the stone.

Mordana cocked her head to the side, staring at the stones. She pondered this possibility, that whoever had gathered them had had a purpose for doing so. What could it mean? She reached a paw out and touched a particularly fascinating stone that was the color of the sky, but translucent and shimmering. She'd never seen anything like it! She leaned in closer to it to gaze at it more closely. She lifted it and turned it around and around in the strengthening sunlight. It cast glistening shadows on the ground and Mordana gasped. She reached for another translucent stone and this one created small rainbows on the ground. She looked to Eve. "Look! These are wonderful!" She picked up another and another to see the different shadows and lights that danced across the ground.

Eve nodded enthusiastically and pawed at a few of the other stones, completely caught up by their beauty. Although she stayed silent, the wheels in her mind were turning at top speed. Who owned these stones? What were they for? Would the person come back and claim then.
Perhaps it was because was so caught up in her own thoughts that she didn't notice a black moto'undil make her way towards the two females until the horned female yelled out in an angry tone.

T'alisira had been on her way to her secret spot. Well, the spot itself wasn't so secret, and not exactly hers, but she had a tiny hidden chamber filled with pretties that she had collected as a kit. They were childhood memories for her, and they were precious to her.
She hadn't visited the spot for quite some time, but she still knew it like the back of her hand. However, this time, something was different. There were ulayas here this time! She snarled. They were looking at her stones. And they hadn't asked. Didn't they realize than when somebody tried to hide something, it was most likely because they didn't want it found. She sped up, and as soon as she was within hearing range, she yelled loudly, anger in her voice "JUST WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING!?!? THATS PRIVATE PROPERTY!"

Mordana nearly jumped out of her skin. She instantly assumed a defensive position, planting her feet firmly in the ground facing the source of the loud voice. She'd jumped back from the stones a bit, and now eyed them and their apparent owner with apprehension. The creature coming at her was unlike any ulaya she;s ever seen and Mordana was a bit frightened, but determined not to show it. She bolstered her courage and responded loudly, "PROVE IT WAS PRIVATE! YOU LEFT IT OUT IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE!" She grinned in defiance.
