Well, some of you may not know what this Wizard Rock involves, so I hope those who do know will forgive me for giving a short explanation, and allow their attention to wander freely. Wizard Rock was first established in the early 21st century with the release of the song "Ode to Harry" by the Switchblade Kittens. Since then over 300 Harry Potter themed bands have sprouted up and Wrock is a dearly beloved part of the vast Harry Potter fandom.
If you are new to Wrock I strongly recommend you give it a listen, it is all in good fun and immensely enjoyable. My favourite analogy to use when describing Wrock is "an inside joke". You really need to understand the origin to appreciate the joke, sometimes you get an inside joke which everyone can laugh at it even if they weren't there, but generally they will look bewildered and confused.
So use this thread to talk about Wrock. Your favourite bands. Your favourite songs. The latest album you bought. Have you started or thought of starting your own Wrock band? Share your gems, share your experiences, anything and everything that is Wrock related!
The next post will be devoted to links to exceptional Wrock bands so you can start enjoying the music.
"Fight Evil Read Books" (I will totally give invisible candy to anyone who knows where I got the inspiration for the first paragraph, and the just above quote)

I personally love Wizard Rck. I am a big supporter of it. I am very seriously thinking about making a Wrock band because I find that the current amount of songs about Neville is very small, and this must be changed!
My favourite Wrock band, well I have a lot. Basically all the bands in the links I love. I am buying the Accoustic Love Collection Vol III by Tom Riddle and Friends and am very excited.

I love Wrock. I discovered it a year ago and haven't been able to stop listening. I listen to all of the bands you listed. Here's a couple you didn't list that I absolutely love. The Weasel King He makes great unique music. Kind of techno-y and funky like Ministry of Magic. Voldemort-Wizard Metal As the name says, it's Wizard Metal. It's heavy and loud and all about evil stuff. The Sectumsempras This is also another Wizard Metal band. The singer has a great voice that sends chills down your back when you hear her. They've done a couple of collaborations with Voldemort. The Parselmouths This is another great band. They sing from the point of view of a couple of girls in Slytherin. Great songs. They've done a collab with the Ministry of Magic also.

The Remus Lupins have got SKILLZ As much as I credit "harry and the potters" for really getting the whole thing started, I must say that their music isn't that great and their voices are not pleasant... The Remus Lupins, however....I often find myself humming their tunes, and even though Alexes voice often breaks on the higher notes, he's a good tenor, and a great songwriter.

They've done a collab with the Ministry of Magic also. I love the sectumsempras. They are bloody awesome! I just clicked on the link (first time listening to Wrock) and I have to say that I am really impressed with these people. They've turned something so incredibly...well unrealistic (yet so incredibly cool) into something dark and even more awesome than it is but have given us a realistic outlook on it. I expeshilly like their song Imperio and Slaughter of the Lambs EDIT: Man, The Parselmouths have great voices. They make me laugh so hard, because of the Voldie-fangirl song. I was laughing so hard that I was about to cry. I didn't even know that they had real Wrock out there besides Harry and The Potters. I'm really enjoying this and its really helping me with my definition essay due tomorrow. Or the rough draft anyway. Thanks a lot for posting them! Also another good one is Ginny and The Heart Breakers

I like Ministry of Magic, and Tom Riddle and Friends. If I was rich, I'd go on the caribbean cruise this summer that is featuring Wrock bands as the only live entertainment. Did you know that all of the money the Wrock bands make goes to the same charity that JKR supports? The one she wrote Fantastic Beasts and Quidditch Through the Ages for? I think that's awesome! Go generous people!

er traf ein mädchen, das war blind geteiltes leid und gleichgesinnt sah einen stern vom himmel gehen und wünschte sich sie könnte sehn The Sectumsempras and The Whomping Willows are my favorites; but I'll listen to pretty much any Hard Wrock or pro-Dark Arts songs. They are always the most entertaining <3. I also love the techno stuff, can't get enough of it - Ministry of Magic is pretty kick a**. sie hat die augen aufgemacht verliess ihn noch zur selben nacht

I like the Wrock bands that write their own music, not ones that take existing songs and just change the lyrics.
