 The sun was only just rising, yet the young lioness had already risen, and was already up and about. During the cooler mornings, it was much more fun to do things then, rather than in the afternoons in the heat. Today she stalked what ever she could find, she didn't know what it was yet. Green eyes watched the movement in a patch of bushes, waiting for it to come out. She crouched low in the shade of a small tree, patiently waiting, not wanting to rush headlong into a bush that could be full of thorns.

His dreams always told him the way and the way today was here. Every night since he was old enough to walk he had had a dream. He didn't doubt he had these dreams before then but he couldn't remember that far back, a very young cubs mind was hard to remember for anyone.
Today his dreams had lead him to a familiar spot for stalking, he had played here before challangeing his young skills to pouncing and catching. For some reason thoughhe knew he wasn't herefor this so he sat quietly beneath an acacea tree and waited. if his dream told him to do so, he was supposed to be here for a reason.

As patient as the young lioness could be, this thing was taking far too long. After waiting nearly ten minutes, she finally gave up, and trotted over to the bush, just as her prey finally made an appearence. A tortoise slowly plodded out of the bush, oblivious to the sharp thorns of the bush, as it pushed its way through out. This was certainly not the prey she was hoping for. Sighing she trotted back into the shade, it was only then that she caught another scent on the wind, the scent of another lion. After figuring out where the scent might be coming from, she set off to follow it, hoping who ever it was would be friendly. It wasn't long before she found the source of the scent, a lion around her age, but not one she recognized. Slowly she stepped out of the shadows and into view. "Hello." She said, her head tilted off to one side, tail flicking back and forth behind her.

Cool watery green eyes turned on the silvery lioness and the young dark masked male smiled. "Greetings." he whispers, his voice a gentle puurr, airy in a way and almost mysterious. "I'v never met you before." He tilted his head softly a curious look shimmering over his features, his dreams usually lead him to meet new people, folks whom could lead him in the right direction or teach him new things. Soone his own age, he wasn't so sure how much he could learn but his dreams had never lead him wrong.
"I'm Abiona, whats your name?"

"Nice to meet you Abiona. I am Marshanda." She said as she slowly padded forward. "I have lived here since I was quite little. Where do you live? I have never seen you here." She said, knowing he was not of her pride, but wasn't at all concerned. Then stretched out in the shade, resting her head on her paws, but all the while watching him.

Abiona watched the silvery female curriously his watery green eyes searching over her un til he managed to come up with the answer she required. "I live near here, just on the edge of the pridelands with my parents. I'v been through a couple of times but I hear this pride is huge so I guess I cna't know everyone." he chuckles flickering his tail and causing a little dust tornado behind him. "Do you live at the rock then Marshanda?" By the rock he of course meant pride rock. "It's very facinating that structure is, I wonder how it got there."

"I have lived here as long as I can remember, and I still find some that I don't know." She said, her tail flicking lazily behind her, swatting the occasional fly from her flanks. "I don't live in the rock, but I have been inside a few times, not long enough to find all the interesting things in it though." She said, wishing she had explored it more, before being moved along since she was a little cub at the time, and kept getting under everyones paws and almost tripping them up. "I don't know how it got there, I don't think even the oldest, and wisest of the pride know. It has been there so long." She said half watching him, half watching a fly circle around her head, wanting to land on her head but she wouldn't let it.

Abiona listened on in silence contemplating why this was one of those important meetings. His dreams didn't usually lead him to casual things. perhaps he was supposed to learn soemthing important from this female?
Then again, maybe he was simply being told by his dreams that he needed to relax. He took both ideas in his mind and shook his head a little. He should stop over thinking.
I would like to go inside the rock. I'v always lived on the borders. "he smiles. "My family is mostly just passing through, thats what my mother tells me any way." He sighs. "I do like these lands though, they are very beautiful." he smiles wistfully thinking about the day when he would leave though he would wait for ever for a dream to tell him to go.

"Yes it is quite beautiful." She said watching as the fly finally gave up and flew away. "Though I do wonder what other beautiful things are outside the borders, I suppose when I am older I might be able to find out." She said stretching out in the cool sand, wanting to get up and run, but didn't out of politeness. After a moment of thought, and shifting restlessly in the cool sand. "I don't know about going inside the rock, but I do know a pond near by, that is quite nice right now after those rainstorms a few days ago, all the flowers have grown in around it." She said stretching as she stood up. "Want to come?" She asked, not wanting to sit around much longer.

Abiona smiled lightly his deep watery green eyes watching the female. A pond? That sounded like a good place to go to. he enjoyed the water, and the mud, having decended from a lioness of the swamp the mud was the greatest place to be. Grinning the khaki male gave a nod. "I would love to go to the pond." He whispers his voice airy, almost distant. Perhaps this was todays task, he had to find a task in each of his dreams, though at the moment the thought of the nice sticky pond made his young mind laugh. Just because he needed a task didn't mena he couldn't have fun. "Lets go, you lead the way, I'v never seen this pond." He smiles, enthusiasm obvious in his voice.

Marshanda grinned back. "It isn't far from here." She said as she turned and began to trot a familiar path for her, having gone to this pond many times before. To stalk the other creatures that came to drink there, and once playing with a tortoise for over an hour, much to the tortoise's dismay. It wasn't long before the reached the small pond, not more than a hundred feet across, but currently surrounded by all forms of flowers in all colors. "It usually isn't this big or this colorful, I like the change. When I first found it, it was half this size, and lifeless all around." She said, stepping up onto a rock that stood out of the mud and flowers. She then turned to see what he thought of her secret, little pond.

Abiona smiled and followed the grey female to the water his head lifted as he took in the deep, wonderful scent of water. He didn't even know this place was here.
His sences were bombarded with the scents of flowers and fresh green grass. "What a wonderful place." He whispers, his voice gentle mysterious as always. "Thankyou very much for showing me this place." He smiles, this must have been the reason for his dream, to find a beautiful place he didn't know about.

((Sorry for the wait, my muse has been dead for a while, well not dead, just useless.))
Marshanda watched as the small birds swooped down to the water to drink and bathe, and for once she didn't playfully chase them out. 'Must be growing up,' she thought to herself, as she watched them dip their bodies into the water and then shake it off in a flutter of little wings. "You're welcome. It is good to come here and relax, away from the younger cubs who insist on biting my tail." She said flicking her tail, which did look like some hair might be missing.

Abiona smiled and took a deep calming breath, a serene smile on his maw. "I should really be getting back to my family before I am missed." He whispers his watery green eyes looking at the older lioness.
"Thankyou, for showing me this wonderful place." He smiled taking a step away."I will have to visit again." He beamed then and gave a curtious nod before hopping away back in the direction they had come.
