The slender-built females muscles rippled slightly with each step. She'd been getting healthier lately, and she was definately much happier. She'd done a lot of travelling, looking for companions. She had sort of been hoping to either find, join, or even start a small coalition, though it had been going much less easily than she'd imagined. She shrugged, half-way thinking out loud, and then grinned to herself. Blanco admitted she was thinking much too hard about this. She flicked her tail and then stopped for a moment, having wandered a fair distance without really paying attention, she didn't really have any clue where she'd ended up.
She'd been all over the place recently, mind and body, but at least she'd had many new and interesting experiences. Again, the female shrugged, and then reclined to her haunches, running her tongue over her muzzle in thought; ears and tail twitching as she sat, still far too deep in thought.
Blanco laughed to herself at a mildly amusing thought, and somehow managed to shock herself out of her half-trance state. She found herself glancing about again, though this time, she was actually looking. She'd ended up in the midst of a scrubby little forest, stunted, gnarled up trees all about her, a giraffe or two not far off. The cheetah wouldn't bother them, though, of course not. A giraffe could easily kill a cheetah. She scoffed, wondering why she let her mind wander like that so frequently, anyway.

Out of those bushes carelessly bolted a young cub, trying her paw at hunting. She was going surprisingly fast, particularly for a cub. She chased after a hare, completely ignoring the green adult. (One would think she'd be difficult not to see) She bolted, turned a sharp left as the hare did, but as it did so, she reached out and snagged a foot. Skuld tumbled onto her side, pulling the little thing in, glad she'd actually caught her first kill! "Ha!" She yelled at the dead thing before looking up. Good, the giraffes hadn't followed her.... And what was this? A Green cheetah? She'd seen oddly colored lions before, but not a cheetah, though, she suspected it could happen. "Hi there!" She called from about 6 yards away. She was torn, though, between her dead hare and padding over to the cheetah- she'd see if the other female was friendly first. ((I love the title. XD))

The female laughed at the little cub chasing the hare, and then layed herself in the dirt, sprawling her front legs, both hind legs tucked neatly against her side, one crossing under his stomach. "That was a good catch!" She called jovially. Now this was easy; Blanco knew that there was no way a cub would want, or try to attack her, so it wasn't hard for her to be friendly in this situation. "You're pretty fast for a cub..."She added, hoping that she would make the cub sure that she was perfectly friendly, and especially wanted her to know that; in the event that her mother might be around. Couldn't go messing with mothers, they got angry in a way no other creature could.
Blanco chuckled again and then flicked her tail about, watching the cub as she looked from her catch, back to the bluish-green hued female, and tilted her head a little. "I'm not going to steal your food, just so you know. That would be simply awful. And I'm not like that. You're more than welcome to bring it over and chat, if you'd like?" She added; she figured there would be no harm in suggestion. If the cub was willing to believe her about not stealing her food and whatnot
[[ Lol. Thanks. I was having a very special moment when I made it xD;; ]]

Skuld only took a moment, just enough time to pick up her catch. She figured the adult was nice, she seemed nice. She trotted over to the cheetah and dropped her food, soon after plopping her butt into the dirt flicking her tail softly behind her. "I'm Skuld, and thanks!" She introduced. "I like running a lot, speed is so enjoyable," she said, closing her eyes and sticking her head up as if remembering the feel of the wind on her face. "I guess I'm pretty fast for a cub because I run more often than most cubs?" She guessed with a little shrug.
She bent over to eat some of the kill, but pulled herself away. "You can have some, if you want," She offered, she had no problem with it. Who knew? What if this cheetah hadn't eaten in a while, or was having a bad day? She'd feel awful knowing that she'd denied someone some of her kill.

"Oh no, no, that's alright sweetie." Blanco tried gracefully to refuse the offer; she didn't want to hurt the cubs feelings. The ocean-colored female grinned down at the smaller one and then waggled her ears a bit happily. "You wanna know something?" She started, smiling even wider and hunkering in to get closer, "I've never really been a very good runner. In fact, I prefer to walk." She giggled, and then lifted her head back up and glanced about. It had gotten slightly darker outside, though not by far, and there was a nasty-looking fog settling in through the trees.
Blanco shrugged. It wasn't a big deal unless it got so thick it was hard to breathe and you couldn't see two feet in front of your face. "I think it's going to be a dark and foggy night, what do you say?" She said, just trying to make conversation, though she didn't really know how to converse with a cub too well; but you can't blame a girl for trying!

"Not a good runner?!" She asked, surprised. "But I thought all cheetahs were good runners." She tilted her head a little bit. Perhaps she was the only one, what an ego-boost that would be!
She glanced off towards the trees, in the direction of where the giraffes had been, to find that it was starting to get foggy. She'd only ever experienced a very light fog, and even then it was due to a nearby waterfall at the time. A natural fog, though she knew what it was, hadn't ever showed itself to her. Her brow furrowed thoughtfully, pondering what a foggy night would be like before she responded. "I think you're right. Should be exciting!" She said, turning her golden gaze back to the adult, eyes dancing with mischief. While she would never cause trouble, she did want to stay up late tonight to see what a heavy fog was like.

Blanco grinned and flicked her tail, shifting her weight a little, so she was facing the little female more. "Well, maybe you're just the best runner of all the cheetahs?" She giggled, perking her ears and raising her brows, grinning wildly; "I'm just clumsy, which kinda sorta more than anything makes me a bad runner." The blue-green female chuckled, lifting a paw and ruffling the fur between the cub's ears.
"Sounds exciting? You sure;" Blanco paused for a second and tilted her head slightly, "...Don't you have a mother and father to be getting back to?" She inquired, shivering just once, muscles along her back rippling, causing the spots that also ran along it to quiver slightly. "I mean...they might worry about you if it gets really nasty out here; don'tcha think so?" She smiled, head still tilted and tail twitching with slight anxiety. Blanco also didn't want to be accused of kidnapping her or anything silly like that, nor caught between an angry parent and a cub that had been missing most of the afternoon and night.

And Ego boost! "That'd be cool, if I was! I like running fast, my dad does too, most of the time." Skuld's ear flicked right after the adult ruffled her fur, but she didn't mind it, really. As long as she wasn't pulling furs out, Skuld didn't really care. "I'm sorry you're clumsy... Maybe you'll get it in time? I have clumsy days too, but not often." She said thoughtfully.
Skuld pondered the situation with her mother for a moment... Mom was usually pretty lenient. "Nah, it's fine," she said confidently "My dad isn't around for the rest of the week, mom's usually pretty tolerant of stuff. Besides, we're kinda close by anyway. Besides, I've never been in a heavy fog! I'll bet it's fun to tackle your sisters in!" She said playfully, glancing back in the direction of their den for a moment before turning back to the adult. "You ever been in one? Are they fun?" She asked curiously, eager to get out and be in one. She wanted to experience all she could, as quickly as she could.

"I dunno. It has been a few years, already. But I find walking is more interesting anyway. You see more stuff that you wouldn't notice just rushing on by..." The sleek female smiled genuinely, swishing her tail again and then pushing herself into a standing position. "Well," She started, licking her muzzle, and then flicking her ears in the direction the cub glanced, moving her own eyes in the same way, though not bothering to actually turn and look; "If you're sure your parents wouldn't mind too much, I can stay with you for a while longer, until the fog settles in? Then I can help you home, if you'd like, sweetie?" Blanco offered, another sudden thought occuring to her.
"Oh, and my name is Blanco, in case you were wondering; Blanco'marcado." She grinned again.
Already, the trees where the giraffes had earlier been standing-- though they were now long since gone-- was beginning to fade in the vapour that was the fog, and she could feel the hot heaviness in each breath. It was somehow so thrilling, when everything five feet away was a new surprise, even if one knew exactly where one was.
"I would definitely call it exciting, fun." Blanco added, shaking a little; the fog was kind of chilly.

"Nice to meet you, Blanco," Skuld said cheerily glancing around to investigate the fog. She watched as things disappeared slowly to the fog. "I've never seen anything like this!" Skuld said, bouncing to her feet. She watched as the trees were consumed, and the visibility got lower and lower- harder to see. Skuld too shivered from the chill that it brought, but the cold wasn't unbearable. She could also feel the moisture in the air, her fur was getting wet and the longer fur at the back of her neck started to get curly from the humidity.
"Blanco, this is so cool! We should play hide-and-seek in this fog, or tag!" Skuld said excitedly, looking happily to the older cheetah, who was still close enough to be visible, though there was a very light mist between them.

"Well, it's nice to meet you, too." Blanco grinned happily, swishing her tail. "I love the fog, it's always so interesting. Though...it's kind of weird when you're alone in it, it can be spooky sometimes." She added, chewing her bottom lip for a brief moment thoughtfully.
"I'd love to play, as long as you don't go too far. I'd hate for you to get lost out here in this stuff." The blue-green female said, tilting her head to indicate the fog, though she knew that the cub would obviously know what she was talking about. "I think hide and seek sounds like our best bet, tag could be dangerous, running about out here with hardly any visibility." She giggled a little.
"Do you know your way around here?" Blanco inquired, wanting to make sure that the cute little female wouldn't get lost. That would be a terribly awful thing to happen.

"I think you're right, hide and seek would be best." Skuld said with a nod. The adult was right about tripping, and tripping, especially to a cheetah, was a dangerous mistake. Perhaps not so much for a cub, but if an adult did it. Trip could result in injury, and that was no good for any hunter.
"I know my way enough. I don't live here or anything, but I've visited this spot more than once. Who should hide first, me or you?" Skuld asked, tail flicking playfully behind her. She couldn't wait to play in the wet-aired fog. Then she'd truly get to experience it!

"You're pretty smart, you know?" She laughed a little. She wasn't just fluffing her up, the cub really did know a lot. And not only was she smart, especially for her age, she was very careful and well-composed in her mannerisms. She would grow up to be a fine huntress one day, definitely. She grinned again and then flicked her own tail, ears laying to the side slightly as she beamed down at Skuld.
"Well, I was going to ask if you'd like to hide first. And I'm glad you know your way around, that makes me feel much better." Blanco chuckled softly again, dancing slightly in her place.
Even though it seemed an uncommon and odd thing for an adult to do; playing with a cub, the blue-green female was probably just as excited as her new little friend was, but she didn't care. Though, Blanco had no idea how increasingly often she'd be playing with cubs, soon enough.

"I guess!" Skuld said to the compliment. "My dad teaches me a lot," she said. While Skuld may not approve of her parents' relationship, she had to admit that both of them were very wise, and that it was a great idea to take every shred of advice. After all, if you didn't listen, you'd soon find out that they were right from experience.
"Well, alright, I'll go hide. Don't peek!" she said excitedly. It was a rare sight to see an adult who wanted to play hide-and-seek that wasn't a parent. She let a huge grin spread across her face and she waited for Blanco to start a count or at least to turn around. Hiding places immediately started running through her head... where would be the best place to hide?

Blanco carefully pranced off behind a nearby rock and started counting aloud. "One...two...three;" And it continued. She swished her tail playfully as she hid her eyes beneath her paws. The blue-green female hadn't played this game in...well over a year by now, and she was no doubt a little rusty, but at least it was fun, and it was a good way to experience the mist; she supposed.
She had no idea whether or not Skuld had found a hiding place yet or not, but she giggled after reaching 50, and then shouted, "Ready or not, here I come!" And spun around, fur flinging little bits of perspiration and moisture from the mist about randomly as she turned.
It's not like she really even needed to have found a hiding place yet, as Blanco wouldn't be able to see her right away for sure, so she would have a little bit of extra time to hide, if she hadn't already, anyway. The slender-bodied female trotted slowly through the trees, looking hard, and using her nose to cling to the feeble, watered-down scent of the little female.
