Plumbers by day — ghost hunters by night. This one-hour weekly docu-soap from the creator/executive producer of American Chopper follows a group of real-life paranormal researchers as they investigate haunted houses throughout the country, encountering every type of imaginable haunting.

Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, plumbers by trade, head up TAPS — The Atlantic Paranormal Society — a group of intrepid souls who are far from the usual collection of bespectacled Ph.D.s. They're ordinary, everyday people — office managers, factory workers, teachers and even psychic-hotline gurus — with an interest in getting to the bottom of your otherworldly disturbances. Jason, Grant and their team of moonlighting ghost-hunters are our first and last defense against uninvited paranormal visitations. Tom Thayer and Craig Piligian of Pilgrim Films (American Chopper) are the executive producers.

On TAPS

Do you sense a paranormal presence in your own home? Life after death has been a central belief among billions of people for millennia — and contact between this existence and the next is no more far-fetched than sending sound and pictures through the air must have seemed to the ancients. You can report evidence or request an investigation directly at the TAPS site.

Sure, those spooky sounds may just be air-vent echoes or water backflow in your pipes — and if so, TAPS is qualified to tell you that, too!

Ok, you are probably wondering why I separated them. Well, from all the stuff I see and the problems Jason and Grant are having with this.

GHI and GH are two seperate shows. Jason and Grant are not part of GHI. This sho is from the producers of Sci Fi, so they are not involved "UNLESS" sci fi tells them they want them in the show. This is the reason why the investigations are not going the way Jason and grant would run them, because this is not TAPS. I will post what they have said in their personal blogs here. So that you guys have a better understanding what I mean.

This is from Jason Hawes. blog from myspace. http://www.myspace.com/jasonhawes

OK, it would appear that we touched a nerve with a few certain people out there who took our blogs about GHI the wrong way.
That was not our intent by any means.

We meant no disrespect to the show GHI or the people on it in my our blogs, and if taken that way we do apologize.
We were just overwhelmed with emails about concerns on GHI, about why we were not on it, as the commercials made it appear, and about certain people on the show.
So we felt we needed to give a place for the comments and thoughts so our in-box's did not keep getting filled up.

People seemed to be under the impression that we, (TAPS) were on the show due to commercials that appeared to show us on there.
That was in fact not accurate.
This show is its own entity. We have no control of members, cases or anything that goes with GHI.

We will not be on the show unless asked specifically in the future by Sci-Fi!

I did not get a chance to see GHI except for the first 15 minutes due to other obligations.
I am happy for Donna, Andy, Brian, Shannon and Rob for doing what they enjoy doing.
Donna has been a friend for a long time and I want the best for her as always.
Andy as well, we all wish the best for, he has been a friend for many years.
Brian, contrary to what some believe (we do not dislike him)lol ,even though he and us have had our differences and issues I and TAPS have always stated to him that we want nothing but the best for him and his family and we hope things work out for him.
Rob and Shannon have our best wishes as well.

On GH, Grant and I own TAPS which has been around for long before GH, we are producers as well as investigators, that helps us have creative abilities on the show and be in control of who comes on, what cases we do and our team.
We are not producers nor have any control of anything on GHI.

We wish the best for the GHI folks and do not want that misunderstood.
There is no GH vs GHI.
People can like both shows, one show, no shows, your calls!
TAPS was together prior to GH for many years and due to that our team is our own and will be around long after GH.
"The show GHI and its cast is in the hands of Sci-fi channel."
No one has any ability to change anything around except for them.
I hope this email clears things up for people

Onward!

I have always loved ghost hunters, they have the best investigations. Also thier proof I trust, they are too honorable to fudge evidence. it just proves ghosts exist

As I said in a post that I think had been erased, I don't live too far from TAPS headquarters, it's like a 45 minute to an hour's drive from where I am. I was told they had a ... gift shop or something in one of the mill outlets here in Fall River, but I never got the chance to look at it yet.

There is an investigation I would like them to check out in a house in Taunton, Mass, in the Weir Village area. A friend of the family lives in a house that's haunted by a spirit of an old man by the name of Wendell, along with two dozen ghost cats. They are featured in the book Haunters of the Dusk by Edward Lodi, and I had been to the house myself a few times. I'm not that preceptive when it comes to spirits, so I hadn't "seen" Wendell or the cats, but there was this one time when I was sitting in a chair in front of the unused fireplace in the sitting room, and I couldn't move my arms for several minutes. The reason was never explained.

Oh goodness yes! I am questioning if that was brian's shadow from the flash. I really do not think that it was a
ghostie shadow" but I could be wrong.

hm... the infrared was showing some wierd stuff too. but still ur right, on the regular cam shots it probably was from the shadow.

they never showed any of the good footage or even showed the camera the temp change on the equipment... sucky ><

ok tonight's 8pm episode disapointed me... the scifi camera caught video of the door closing on him, but they didn't/couldn't use it as evidence.. couldn't even review it to see that they did have video of it happening.. CRUD!

& it's not the first time that's happened... the armory in Mass they had better footage... but didn't/couldn't use it.

The earlier episode of GH was hilarious, when Dave first joined the team. At the Worthington's house Steve put a plastic Tiara on Dave's head and made him walk around with it, having him think it was sort of head lantern. And in the New York asylum Grant and Jason had the other teams go check out the lower levels just so they can have bats fly around them.
