Yule

Stifling a yawn, Yule walked along the forest path, once again wondering where he was and why he was there. It would have been nice for him to find someone to ask where he was, but everytime he met someone they either ignored him or simply said "Namiah" and that was it. "Namiah" would help him, if only he knew what or where "Namiah" was! He sighed and looked around again in the umpteenth time of hoping to find someone helpful to talk to.

Winter was peacefully sitting under a tree when she noticed a male namir walking by. "Well, hello!" She said with a wave. One thing Winter was never accused of being was shy. She actually loved meeting other namir, especially ones that were not a part of her family.

Yule looked up at the sound of a female voice, pinpointing the waving Namir and tentatively waving back. Padding over to her he asked, again, hoping she might be more helpful than everyelse had been so far, "Hello, um, do you know where I am?"

"Well, you are on the Island of Namiah, where namir like you and I live." She wasn't sure that was too helpful so she added, "You are in the forest on the Island. There is a beach and a desert and a few other spots. Does that help at all?"

"I suppose," Yule said, "But why and how did I get to be here?" His face held a contemplative look as he pondered about his situation. No childhood, no teenhood, no nothing before Christmas of this year. Only his name: Yule, and he had no idea how he had gotten it.

"Hmm...now that's a question I'm not sure I can answer. Some arrive here with no memory, me being one." She had appeared a year ago and was charged with a stone to take care of.

Yule looked up at her, startled, "There are more who don't know where they have come from?! You didn't know where you came from either?!" He paused to ponder this, wondering if they all came from the same place. "You-Have, have you ever found out where you came from?" he asked quietly, almost afraid of the answer, "How long ago did you come here?"

"Yeah, I like to think it's normal." She giggled to try and alievate his nervousness. "I actually had a charge of a stone as soon as I got here, that was about a year ago. I guess I never asked why or how."

He almost laughed with her at the little joke, "So you haven't ever even wondered where you came from?" Wondering about that was all that he could really have done up to now, he hadn't really met anybody other than the people who had walked off right after supposedly telling him where he was. "What is it like here then? Is it..." he stopped since he didn't really know how he could describe anything because he hadn't really had anything to describe before.

"No, I guess I was too busy taking care of the family I was given." She smiled at the male and wondered why she hadn't ever thought of why she was here. "It's nice, there's a beach that's pretty fun."

"Well, then I suppose your family was your reason for being here, so you didn't really have to wonder," he said contemplatively. Blinking at her mention of the beach, he tilted his head to the side with a flick of his ears and asked, "What's a beach?" Though he knew what most things around here were called, like forest and such, he supposed that wherever he had come from they didn't have these "Beach" things, so he didn't know what it was now either.

"WEll, yeah that makes since." She smiled, her purpose was her family, yup that summed her up. "A beach? Well it's a sandy spot next to an ocean or lake. You want to go?" She hadn't been to the beach in a while, might be fun.

I'm so sorry I haven't replied here in forever!
"Well..." As much as he wanted to figure out his purpose for being in this "Namiah" place, finding out what this "Beach" thing was sounded awfully intriguing as well. "I suppose if I want to know more about where I am I should see more of this place," he replied finally, "Why not? Which way is it?"

((Now I guess it was my turn to take a while and reply! Sorry!))
Winter smiled, "It's this way." They weren't too far from it actually. Winter led the way out of the forest and on a path down to the beach. "Do you like to swim?"

"Swim?" Yule repeated, "I know how to sled, though I'm not quite sure yet how much I like it... It is like sledding?" Being a Christmas Namir he wasn't very familiar with anything that didn't have to do with snow, presents, or chicken noodle soup.
