(nods) Yup. ^_^ Adams also wrote another series of books involving a character name named Dirk Gently who's a detective. The first one I believe is called "Dirk Gently's Hollistic Detective Agency" and the sequel is "THe Long Dark Teatime of the Soul".
I also recently came across a book called "The 13 1/2 lives of Captain Blue Bear" by Walter Moers which sounds like it might be similar to Douglas Adams in style.
Edit: There's also an author called Edward Gorey and a series called "The Gashlycrumb Tinies: or, After the Outing" which seems gothic enough for LS fans.
