The small room is pure white save for the furniture and the glass wall facing out into a hallway. The walls themselves are made up of reinforced concert painted to match the sterile environment and the floor is made up of white stone tiles. Due to the nature of the holding room it was cool, the walls and floor allowing for no heat to be contained within it. Within the room are only a few things, two gurneys, a prepping table, a small counter top and a sink. There are no small items of use and the only exit is a narrow bolted metal door in the far back right corner.
[Mitsu is out on a gurney. If possible they both have metal bands around their wrists and feet]
The small room that Hitsu and Mitsu were currently being confined to was pure white save for the furniture and the glass wall facing out into the hallway. The walls themselves were made up of reinforced concert painted to match the sterile environment and the floor was made up of white stone tiles. Mitsu lay quietly on her gurney, head off to the side, her eyes fully closed. Her breathing appeared to be slow and even so she was sleeping at the moment and had yet to awaken.

Mitsu's 'roommate' had been awake for a few minutes now, slowly coming to recall the events that had brought them to this strange place. Hitsu was frightened, to say the least. Afraid of what was to become of them, why they were captured. She worried about her brother and Neko, whimpering softly in the otherwise silent room. She'd sat up on her gurney, and drew her knees up to her chest. Were Yuki and Neko alright? Had they been brought here as well? What was going to happen to them. Hitsu pulled herself from her thoughts just long enough to look over to Mitsu, still unconscious nearby. For a long moment she stared at the wolf girl, and only turned her attention away once she'd seemed to confirm that Mitsu was still breathing. It was then that she finally took visible notice of the metal bindings around her wrists, then ankles. She frowned in disapproval, though confused. How could these be of use if they weren't connected to one another?

* Mitsu lay still on the gurney for a few moments longer sleeping peacefully as if nothing were wrong. Fluttering a few times her eyes shot open and she sat up with a start staring out the glass wall into the hallway. Her face was completely expressionless as she processed where she was and how she had gotten here. So she was back, back at the beginning. It was as if she had never left at all. Bringing up her hands she looked at the metal bands around her wrists as if to confirm where she was. A few moments went by as she continued to stare at them until she suddenly had a feeling she was not alone.
Turning her head up mechanically she looked at Hitsu with blank eyes. Blinking a few times she realized there was an actual person there and a sense of hope and relief washed over her bringing a bit of life back to her face. “H…Hitsu?” Swinging her legs off the gurney she stepped down onto the cold stone floor and walked toward her. “Y…you’re here too?” She was questioning, just to be sure her mind wasn’t playing tricks.
------
“So.” Neko stood hunched over, bracing himself up on his knees. “Where do you think they were taken?” His voice was raspy, he had yet to fully recover from his wounds, but there was no time to wait for that. Hitsu and Mitsu were in danger and they had to get them back. Standing up as best as he could Neko looked at their surroundings. They had been left in the turmoil that was once the east side of Galloway, but was now a frozen wasteland with neglected buildings. He wasn’t sure where the girls had been taken too, but he was certain it wasn’t far.

When Mitsu had awakened, Hitsu calmed down a little. Despite the situation, it was relieving to know that Mitsu was conscious now. This way, Hitsu didn't feel quite so alone either. Mitsu approached the gurney, and Hitsu scooted closer to one end in order to give her room to sit with her if she wished.
"I'm here." She confirmed, then gave a question of her own. "Where are we, Mitsu?" She might not have intended to, but she sounded fearful when she'd asked. Wherever this was, she knew it couldn't be friendly.
-----
One thing was certain; Yuki wasn't having the easiest of times either. Battered and bruised, there wasn't much that Yuki could do about his own injuries aside from trying to block out the pain. Lucky for him, he seemed to be doing well enough at that. The desire to find his sister was much stronger than the urge to rest and recover even if just barely, even if the latter would have been the intelligent choice for him to make.
"I.. Don't know." Yuki replied quietly, extending an arm to keep from stumbling over the rubble at his feet as he tried to stand fully upright. He could trip well enough on his own without the stones' help, thank you. His limp would certainly be worse now, due to the struggles against the lab techs. Yuki took a long moment to gather his thoughts, head pounding. One of them had struck him good alongside his skull, it still hurt and a knot was already beginning to swell but at least there wasn't any serious damage.
"One of them..." He started, taking a moment to look around for tracks in the snow. "One of them said something about a lab." The very thought both frightened and angered him, he wanted to find Hitsu as soon as possible. Even though Neko surely had the same idea, Yuki clarified his thoughts. "We've got to find it."

Climbing up onto the gurney, Mitsu sat with her legs dangling over the side. Reaching out she took hold of Hitsu’s arm. She noted the fear in her voice but really wasn’t able to reassure her about the situation. Nothing about this place was ever good. “We…we’re back at the lab. Suto’s lab.” Pausing she tried to completely recall what happened. Neko and Yuki had been beaten and left, but they were probably alive. Suto’s associates were never ones to kill. “I’m sure…Neko and Yuki will come for you.” But even if they did would they be able to leave?
------
Twirling a pen around in his hand, Suto looked over the monitor at his desk. His pet and new guest were now awake. A wicked smile began to creep across his face as he snapped his fingers to get one of his larger lab tech’s attention. Loyally the man came up to him and waited for his orders. “If you would, please take another tech with you and go down to containment room D 12 and retrieve our two lovely young ladies.”
“Where would you like me to take them, Sir?”
“Escort them to the testing area, make sure they are secured before you leave.”
Bowing the man took his leave to go about his task making his way to the floor below the one he was on to the containment rooms. He didn’t understand why they needed to put two girls in containment rooms instead of a normal cell room upstairs. The containment rooms were well reinforced to make sure nothing could break out or in, but they were only two women.
------
“Lab.” Neko repeated looking around. “I guess we need to look for a building still standing. That would probably be a pretty good clue.” The snow had already drifted enough in the wind that the foot prints that had been left were now gone. Clutching his side, Neko began to move. One of the damned lab techs had stabbed him in the gut, no doubt to slow him down. The wound was still bleeding but it would soon stop, but the pain still sent jolts through his body. He would be sure to pay the man back for that.

Back? Hitsu thought to herself, But I've never been here... She stared toward the floor, as though in a daze as she tried to find a reason for why all of this had happened. It wasn't until Mitsu had spoken her brother's name that Hitsu seemed to give her full attention. "I hope so. I just hope they're both alright..." Sure, Neko could regenerate, but Hitsu was only left to hope that Yuki wasn't badly hurt. Memories of the previous ordeal flooded her mind, and she buried her face in her hands and whimpered softly. It was horrible, not knowing the condition of the two they'd been taken from.
-----
Giving a nod in response to Neko's suggestion, Yuki took a cautious step forward. He grunted against the pain that jolted all the way up to his hip, and would have likely fallen had he not still been within arms reach of one of the ruined buildings. As much as he despised admitting it, there was no doubt he'd have trouble once there wasn't some sort of object to brace himself on. He needed something, anything, if only for a little while. As though fighting his own realization, he forced himself to move further.
Then, he'd paused. The space in front of him held nothing to grasp, and he put pressure on his bad leg, trying to test just how far he might get. It was a bad idea, and Yuki looked toward Neko with a half shameful expression. "I can't do this, Neko. I need something to lean on." Before Yuki could make eye contact with Neko, he'd lowered his head a bit and moved his gaze to one side. It was clear that despite their position, Yuki was concerned that he'd be mocked for this weakness.

* Mitsu wasn’t sure how to console Hitsu in this situation. This had been the environment she had been raised in since the time she was rather small. “Don’t worry. I’ll watch out for you until Yuki comes to get you. They’ll be here, I know they will.” Wrapping an arm over Hitsu’s shoulder she leaned forward a bit to see if she could see her face. It was different being on the giving end of comfort instead of the receiving end.
A beep sounded at the door causing Mitsu to raise her head and look up as a small slot in the door opened and a pair of dark brown eyes stared in. “Stand to your feet.” A deep male voice instructed.
Looking back at Hitsu, Mitsu slowly slide off the gurney and stood on the floor. Once she was away from Hitsu another beep sounded and the metal bands around her wrists and Hitsu’s wrists started to magnetically charge and draw together, holding their hands in place. Once secured the door opened and two larger lab techs stepped inside, both were holding tasers at the ready.
“Come this way,” The blonde lab tech eyed each girl in turn. “The both of you.”
Mitsu didn’t move forward, instead she moved in front of Hitsu, which seemed to entice odd looks from the lab techs. She was usually rather obedient and cowardly, so this was a huge change.
-----
Stopping when he heard Yuki speak up, Neko turned back toward him to see what he meant. The situation didn’t look good; Yuki was barely able to support his own weight and needed something to lean against, as he had asked. But the expression he had on his face seemed to hurt the most. It made Neko rethink some of the things he had done; maybe he really was too cruel. Especially when his friend was too hesitant to ask for help unless the situation was dire.
Wordlessly Neko walked back to him and took up his free arm and slung it over his shoulder. Propping Yuki up the best he could he continued on their way, looking for any sign of where the girls might have been taken to. Every building in sight was near ruins in this part of town, and what if that was what they needed to look for? Their search for this place would take forever. Neko stopped as a jolt of pain ran through his body, but he played it off as if he was just stopping to have a look around. Not being able to apply pressure to his wound was allowing it to bleed more and stay open longer and the cold air and snow weren't helping any. “Let’s try this way.” Neko took a direction he vaguely hoped he remembered seeing Shun retreat in.

As Mitsu put an arm over her shoulder, Hitsu tried to force the images from her mind. Mitsu was trying to reassure her, and she should believe that what she spoke was true. If nothing else, believing that her brother was indeed on his way to rescue them would keep her from getting too upset. She nodded slowly to Mitsu, rubbing at her eyes gently as she'd been dong her best not to cry. It never did help things, after all.
Then the beep from the door had sounded, and Hitsu gave a jolt. In the silence, the foreign sound to her ears had startled her. Frightened as she might have been, Hitsu followed Mitsu's lead and mirrored her movements so that she stood alongside her. That was, until she stepped in front. Hitsu tilted her head slightly in confusion, but brushed it off. Apparently Mitsu knew how things were supposed to work around here, so Hitsu was left to believe that this was just part of it all. Silently, Hitsu stood and waited for Mitsu to move forward, then she'd obediently follow. Eyes stared at the weapons that the men held, not knowing what they were, but guessing that it wasn't something she'd feel too bad about not finding out.
-----
It actually surprised him, and to a level only made him feel worse. Neko was injured himself, and yet instead of offering to find something for Yuki to use as a crutch, he'd come over to personally help him along. Not that Yuki wasn't familiar with using Neko as a crutch, but most times Yuki was the only one of the two having any real trouble. "Thanks, man." He said quietly, situating his own arm over his friend's shoulder in order to brace himself properly.
With Neko's pause, Yuki looked around as well. No tracks, and no lingering scent that Yuki could detect. No trace of them. The longer they delayed, blindly searching, what was happening to Hitsu and Mitsu? Jaw clenched, and Yuki tried to will away the worst possible scenarios before his mind could barely suggest them. They would find them, they had to. "Lead the way." Yuki replied needlessly to Neko's words, shifting his attention to where Neko had gestured they go.

“Come along,” The man gestured toward the door but still Mitsu did not move.
“Y….you don’t need her.” Mitsu glanced back at Hitsu.
“I’m just following orders, Suto said to collect the both of you now move.” He stepped forward with the taser and pressed the button to give a few warning pops of electricity. Instead of moving forward Mitsu moved back, away from the taser, baring her teeth at the techs and letting a growl escape from low in her throat. She had promised Hitsu she would look after her until Yuki came, she couldn’t do much but she would try.
“This is no time to be brave girl,” The tech stepped threateningly close to Mitsu holding out the taser and just barely touching her arm with it. The growl stopped and Mitsu let out a whimper of pain as she lowered her head, much like a whipped dog would do. They had trained her well, back down and the pain would be minimal. “There, now move.” The tech stood aside and waited. Hesitantly, Mitsu stepped forward and waited for Hitsu to follow so they could stay close. From there they would be led down the hallway and down another floor to the testing area.
----
Their journey seemed to take forever and the few buildings that were left standing proved to be just as vacant as they looked. A few times Neko had to stop, the pain was getting worse. Why was the pain getting worse? It must be the cold, he kept telling himself, the area they lived in was mostly warm and a little humid.
Taking another look around, it seemed like their trip had taken them down a dead end. Nothing was here but rubble. He was about to turn around and head the other way with Yuki but something caught his eye in the distance. Through the haze of the snow it was hard to see but there was a building standing off by itself. A rather large building that seemed to be well intact. “Come on, this way.” Neko shifted Yuki a little on his shoulders and continued on.
Once they were in front of the building, Neko could clearly tell what it was meant to be. “It’s a hospital. Or…was.” A few windows were broken out and the outside was a wreck but it was still standing. “Let’s check it out.” Moving forward, Neko pressed past the door that was just barely hanging on its hinges and walked into a room that had recently been cleaned. It was like nothing else they had walked into. Most other places the floors were destroyed, the walls were cracked, the ceiling was slowly crumbling, but here it looked as if the inside had been newly redone. The walls painted, the floor waxed, but the room was mostly empty and there was no one around. Not even a sound echoed through the lonely halls of the place.

Hitsu could only stare worriedly at the events as Mitsu tried to protect her. "Mitsu, don't let them hurt you." She'd said in little more than a whisper, only for the girl to be harmed anyway. Hitsu frowned, and though she did wish to say something about the mistreatment she wasn't completely dim witted. She lowered her head, wishing not to look at these men. She stared instead at Mitsu's feet, and used them as her guide to wherever it was that they were going.
-----
Finally, they had found a please out of the cold. Well, it was still cold in here, but at least it wasn't snowing on them anymore. Yuki took the moment that they crossed the threshold to try and stretch his leg out a bit. It hurt, as was expected, but it was horribly stiff from cold and lack of use. Perhaps he could walk on his own a bit better now. He could hope, anyway. "Is there anyone here?" Yuki asked his companion, voice low as not to be heard. He was certain that their presence would most likely not be a welcome one. He wanted to call out for them, find out if they were indeed here. He wanted to get them back, and leave this place as soon as possible. There was something about this room, this building, that gave him chills. He didn't want to be here any longer than they had to be. "Do you hear anything?" Yuki asked, risking a step away from Neko. So far so good. Not great, but not as bad as he had been when they had started their search.

The lab techs seemed to be leading them down a labyrinth as they made their way to the testing area. Every once in a while they would utter encouraging words like “Keep moving” or “Speed it up.” Mitsu paid them little mind but instead kept looking back to see if Hitsu was there and if she was all right, all the while keeping her head low.
It took them nearly ten minutes but finally they stood outside a large metal door leading into the testing area. The door contained a small glass window, no bigger than four by four inches in which to peer into the room to make sure it was safe to enter. Finally daring to lift her head, Mitsu glanced through the window as the techs went through the steps of unlocking the door with a code key. Her body went rigid and her face visibly paled when she looked through the window. Just beyond the door was Suto, talking to a tech, no doubt giving him instructions.
The keypad beeped to confirm that it was unlocked and the lab techs opened the door and waited for Mitsu and Hitsu to step inside. Before she moved forward, Mitsu looked back at Hitsu, her eyes blank and lifeless. “Don’t let him know you’re afraid.” She whispered her warning softly under her breath. Hopefully it would get through, Suto did enjoy making people suffer and it only enticed him on when he knew they were terrified.
-------
“I think there is,” Neko replied to Yuki’s first question, letting his friend step away. Once Yuki was away from him, Neko pressed a hand to his side as he moved toward one of the hallways sniffing at the air. All he could smell was paint, fresh paint. Though in the cold it probably took days for wet paint to fully dry.
Taking in Yuki’s last question, Neko listened carefully. He could hear the wind howling outside as it whipped against the building, but that was it. But this had to be the place, it had an eerie feeling to it. “No, I don’t hear anything.” Moving further down the hallway, Neko looked back to see if Yuki was following or looking. When he confirmed that he wasn’t he lifted up his shirt to have a look at the damage done to his side.
Neko visibly flinched but said nothing out loud. This was more than a simple stab wound there must have been something on the blade. The flesh around the wound was trying to close as Neko's body rapidly regenerated but as it did something within the wound caused the flesh to break down, making the wound reopen and bleed more. Well, that explained the pain he had been feeling but he needed to do something about the wound. Flush it out but he had nothing left in his medical bag for such a use. “Damn.” Placing his shirt back down he ignored that problem for the moment. It wouldn’t cause any serious damage for a while and there were more pressing matters at hand.
Moving down the hall Neko went to work. One by one, Neko peeked into rooms and opened doors but none of them showed any sign that people had been there. All lay empty and lifeless.

The walking felt as though it lasted for an hour, even though it had been far from it. Hitsu had done her best to keep up, wishing not to find out what would happen if she moved too slow. Each time Mitsu looked back to her, Hitsu's tension increased a bit more. She knew what was going on, and Hitsu did not. At least, that certainly looked to be the case.
It wasn't until they had stopped that Hitsu lifted her head to see where they had arrived. Just as soon as she could wonder what was in the room, Mitsu had spoken a warning. Unfortunately, the warning had given the opposite effect. Rather than helping her to remain calm, the words only frightened her more. Why would she need to hide her fear? How could she hide her fear? Knowing that her eyes had grown wider, Hitsu quickly shifted her gaze back to the ground before she followed Mitsu into the room. Perhaps if she didn't look at whoever 'him' was, she could try and keep herself from looking afraid.
-----
As Neko had wandered one direction down the hallway, Yuki had went the other. Cautiously, he held one hand out toward the wall, fingertips barely brushing the surface as he carried himself down the hallway. While Neko seemed to be doing a fantastic job of hiding the pain of his wound, Yuki's limp wasn't so easily covered up. Though, he didn't allow it to stop his search now, and he also took to looking into each room in turn. Empty. Empty... All of them empty. It was strange, and a bit creepy. Yuki drew his hand away from the wall eventually, furrowing his brow at the paint that stained his fingertips. It wasn't much, and the paint wasn't really what the concern was. If this building was kept in such good shape, and clearly had been tended to recently, where was everyone?
It wasn't until he'd made his way nearly to the end of the hallway that he found something odd. Well, odder. He'd opened a door to discover a broom closet. Now, had he not taken a second glance he likely would have shut the door and continued on. But, wait. Inside the closet was another door. Who put a closet within a closet? Curiosity and confusion drew Yuki to it, and when the door was slowly opened he hadn't been prepared for what he found. Stairs. A basement? Yuki could see light at the bottom, and if that wasn't a hopeful sign he didn't know what was.
Quickly, he shut the door in silence and leaned back out into the hallway, bracing himself against the door. "Neko!" He called, and just as quickly cringed when his voice reverberated loudly through the empty hallway. For a moment, he went tense in panic, daring not to move as he strained his ears for a sign of movement from the stairs he had discovered, or even above them.

Mitsu shuffled into the room on light feet, her eyes staring at the floor directly in front of Suto’s feet. Luckily she didn’t look at his face, otherwise she would have seen the sadistic grin as Suto had caught sight of the girls entering the room. Once Hitsu was past the threshold the door quickly shut behind them with a slam leaving them, Suto, and a hand full of lab techs in a large room with what seemed like endless mechanical equipment.
“Well then,” Suto’s voice sounded smooth and cheerful as he approached the two. “You finally return to me, my pet.” With a gentle touch Suto placed a hand on the side of Mitsu’s face but she still flinched expecting the worse. “Did you enjoy your time in the sun, your freedom?” Suto asked stroking her cheek softly. “I hope so, because it will be the last you ever see!” While he spoke Suto had moved his hand to Mitsu’s throat and grasped it firmly when he was done talking and slammed her to the ground.
Mitsu let out a yelp and a whimper as she curled up on the floor in a fetal position, Suto baring down on her as he knelt down on his knees. “Be sure that you will pay for your absence in full. For every day that you were gone will be another lashing added to your punishment. For every meal you ate with others will be one less that you have here, and every night you spent sleeping free,” Suto got close to Mitsu’s face, speaking fiercely, a fire alight in his eyes. “Will be another night you spend alone in solitude until all that you wish for will be to see anything or anyone. And then I will be there.” Before he stood to his feet Suto pressed a loving hand on her face causing Mitsu to clench her eyes shut tight. He caressed her cheek and stood up and turned to face Hitsu.
Suto’s face was back to his neutral expression and a pleasant smile crossed his lips as he straightened his messy tie about his neck. Stepping forward he placed his hands back into his jacket pockets, as he looked Hitsu over with dangerous eyes. “So, who might you be?”
-----------
Neko froze hearing Yuki’s voice echo through the empty hallway. With wide eyes he glanced around praying that no one was coming, that no one had heard. As luck would have it he heard nothing as he did before. So collecting himself he moved back to the lobby area and down the hallway that Yuki had explored. It took a lot for him to walk normally, every few steps he would flinch, but Yuki would probably think it was from his still healing wounds.
“What did you find?” A few more feet and Neko was beside Yuki staring at the janitor’s closet. “A…broom closet?”

Not daring to look up, Hitsu's heart pounded against her chest as she heard the door slam behind them. She didn't like being locked in this place, with these strange people. The air in the room felt thin to her, and it smelled very unpleasant. She didn't want to be here. She wanted to run away. She wanted to go home, with Yuki. With Suto's shouting and Mitsu's yelp, Hitsu shut her eyes tight as though it could make her disappear. As though if she wished hard enough, she would magically be taken anywhere but here.
Alas, her wishes could not be granted. She was tense, fearful, and she was certain that it was obvious. The silence that fell over the room after Mitsu's round of abuse only made her more nervous, and when Suto spoke again she visibly flinched. She forced herself to open her eyes, if only to be sure he wasn't approaching her to strike her as well. She didn't lift her head when she spoke, and her form quivered as she tried her best to suppress tears in her fright. "H-Hitsuzen..." She murmured softly in response.
-----
"No, Genius." Yuki replied flatly, stepping to the door he'd found and slowly opening it once more. It took him longer this time around, as he leaned in close to be sure that no one was ascending to look for the source of the shout. Yuki spoke again, this time in a whisper. "I'd bet you they're down there." With only a brief glance toward Neko to see if he'd confirm or deny the suspicion, Yuki moved toward the stairs to descend.

“Hitsuzen. Hit. Zu. Sen.” Saying her name slowly he smiled as he stood in front of her. “It has a lovely ring to it.” The way she flinched and shook were like a graceful dance and her stammering voice was like a lovely melody. Suto loved it all. He took it in a moment longer before he reached out to cup a hand under her jaw and lift her head up. As her face came into view his smile broadened. Such a cheerful and beautiful face, one that begged to be broken. “Well, Hitsuzen.” When he said her name it dripped of venom as he tilted his head. The light reflecting off his glasses making his eyes impossible to see through the lenses. “Tell me about yourself. You are of the feline race, are you not?”
As Suto busied himself making small talk with Hitsu the other techs in the room surrounded Mitsu and drug her to her feet. There they held her and waited for their orders though they were more than prepared to strap her to a table. Lifelessly she dangled in their arms staring at the floor in front of her. She wasn’t going to be able to help Hitsu, she should have known she would be useless. Blank eyes stared on into nothingness waiting for the techs to do whatever they pleased with her. She would do what they asked without complaint as she had done in the past.

“Hey, wait.” Neko reached out to take hold of Yuki’s shoulder to prevent him from going down the stairs. “With your leg in the shape its in maybe you should let me go first.” Though the phrase gave the impression that he was offering up a choice the tone of his voice was telling Yuki he really didn’t have one. The last thing he needed was Yuki to go down and be ambushed and unable to get away. At least he would still be able to flee somewhat easily if the situation called for it. “Just hang out up here for a second and let me make sure the coast is clear.” Moving away from Yuki, Neko started to move around him and toward the staircase to head down all the while looking around to make sure he didn’t see anyone.
