What if all the autobots turned into dicepticons and all the diceptiocons turned into autobots? Any thoughts?

It would be an awkward situation . . . some would not make that transition well, like Megatron. Oddly enough, Prime might do well in that change. To go from a kind and wise leader, to a juggernaut that specializes in literally plowing through enemies with brute force.

Well it has happened before. Jetfire, Grimlock, Grotesque, and Catilla were all Autobots that were Decepticons for awhile at the beginning of the war according to the original background information for those characters. Mirage and Sunstreaker are the closest things to Decepticons from the first G1 line and Thundercracker was the closest thing to an Autobot in the first G1

Happens any time the conflict of the transformer civil war is negated by bigger problems. (Really Big)
The impending great shutdown of cybertron for a while was met with peace.
The fallens arrival in the war within books did join the factions.
And finally there is that armada unicron storyline which has a very formal uniting of autobots and decepticons.
I almost forgot, at the very end of cybertron in the epilouge episode I guess you could say the struggle to save jungle planet could be seen as a uniteing of factions.

Switching between sides just signifies that there is no definite evil or good but only circumstances. If given they would all be good or evil if that was necessary to get where they need to go. Decepticons wants something and so chose the evil side to get it. The same goes with Autobots who uses "good" ways to get where they need to go. But as history shows you when the time comes for the goals to change, they all become either good or bad to reach that goal.

There will always be someone on the other side who hates the person who switched sides. I'm assuming that everyone has killed at least once, and eventually that person is gonna have a friend somewhere.
So basically imagine someone killing one of your friends then having to work them. It would be very difficult to work with that person much less trust them.

That would be quite interesting, although nothing would really change much, since there would still be the two versing sides and the war would continue as normal. And of course there would always be those double agents. Or those who have experienced the ways of one side before changing to the other side.
It would just be something to get used to since we are all used to these characters as they are. To see each of them on the other side of the battle field would be quite something. Many fans probably wouldn't adjust too well. haha.
Prime and Megs would have it the hardest in the transition since they are the the ultimate of what each side stands for. They would fight it down to their very spark not to change/convert to the opposite side. It would take something very powerful to change them.

This has happened sort of in G1.
I believe the ep title is Attack of the Autobots, where Megatron modifies a stolen invention of Wheeljacks in Teletran I and turns the majority of the Autobots evil.
Evil Prime is EVIL.
There was another ep, not sure of the title where the Decepticons faked being good and used a video camera to make the Autobots appear evil. Evil propaganda is also EVIL.

I don't think that Megatron would like an Autobot on the Decepticon side...he might just kill them. Prime might be more understanding, but the others would be VERY suspicious.

As Kira Yui stated, this will be the theme of this years botcon. So that being the case we'll have our answer soon. Although the Autobots are still Autobots, and the Deceptions are Decepticons, who good and bad has changed.
I find it kind of sad that the good Star Scream is a painted in Jetfire's colors.

I know I've been absent for a bit, but I'm in the Military and I've had my duties to perform. I'm back now and I will be enforcing the rules. No polls for the sake of doing polls. A poll must have something to do with the topic.
