I want to know why there isnt any werewolf themed anime movies/series! I mean, I like werwolves just as much as vampires, if not more. And look at all the vampire anime, ya know!? I know, I know,..your gonna say Wolfs Rain, right!? No NOT werwolves,...they are just wolves. Does anyone out there know of any WEREWOLF themed anime?

Yes-- right away your grace. *quickly goes off beginning the first anime were-wolf series*
I don't know why there aren't any, I love were-wolves too, yet I think it's b/c no one knowns who to properly write and configure the type of characters in a were-wolf anime. and vampires are in, so everyone forgets about the were-wolves. *sighs sadly* I like were-wolfs just as much as vampires too, yet if I here of any were-wolf anime, I'lllet you know!

I appreciate your help forsaken_shadow_punkgirl. What I do not understand, however, is that the problem is not a lack of information on the creature. The stories and legends of werewolves date back jus as early as do the ones concerning the vampire. And the stories are just as numerous. It could, almost, be labeled an anime predigious!

Werewolve myths go back earlier than vampire myths do.
And you wanna know why there isn't any werewolf anime? Because no one likes the french, and werewolves are french. Poor poor us, no one likes our myths. Sniff.

Well I am no scholar as far as the exact date of the legends. Though I would have Irish, German, and Russian friends that would argue to the death about where they originated, exactly. However, that is not the point of this thread. My question has yet to be answered, even once. This is , in part, a werewolf guild and noone has any suggestions,...not one!?

Yes, it seems that you have noticed the obvious. Meaning the lack of posts concerning this issue. Though as long as I am here this thread will not die without a fight!

Actually, there is one anime series that is close to werewolves. Wolf's Rain shows the old myth of the werewolf, which isn't our general concept on the werewolf. It suggests that wolves have the ability to pass as human or as wolf. That's the closest thing that I have to offer. It's still crap that they don't have modern werewolf in an anime series or film.

Yes, the fact that Wolfs Rain is the closest anime that comes to mind is a sad reality of the utter lack of any werewolf presence in anime to date.

Well this isn't an anime but hey its got a werewolf and its title is Crescent Moon. It's a very cute series that you might enjoy despite the fact that there's only 1 werewolf

Awww man, someone got to it before me! I was going to call out Crescent moon! There may be only one werewolf in that one, but he is so adorable I think he counts for a few.

to answer your question, because the community that has a fan base off of werewolves would severely chastise via chainsaw anyone who tried and ended up screwing up.
