Do you believe in them? why or why not? I don't because I follow what the Lubavitcher Rebbe says: http://www.chabad.org/therebbe/article_cdo/aid/60946/jewish/The-Age-of-the-Universe.htm

I believe in dinosaurs. Why? Because big skeletons just arent in the ground without there having been a creature to be made from them at one time.

I do not believe in them because how would they have been able to be around with Adam and Eve, yet be the first creature that existed while no other creature was around rolleyes Sometimes I believe scientists get too carried over with what they think they know.

I'm going to have to go with Mac on this one. How are you supposed to fake fossils all around the world and what science proves? I know I have a different viewpoint than many people, but if I'm going to believe something, I want an explanation and a "How/why."

I don't think I follow your reasoning. It is clearly stated that G-d created the creatures of the sea, then the creatures of the land, and at the end of it He created man. I see absolutely no reason why dinosaurs would not be included in the creatures of land and sea, which clearly existed before Adam and Eve. I think they existed. As my two fellows mentioned, it's rather hard to fake big skeletons in the ground. Further, why bother faking them?

But He only created all the other animals the day before He created Adam and Eve, and scientists believe they were extinct before any humans were alive which would mean that they were only alive for one day. I believe that there is a possibility that the skeletons were real, but lots of them were found in peaces meaning there could have been errors when the scientists connected them

I don't take it as a literal day. I take the "days" as long periods of time.

G-d can do anything. He can make bones no matter what size they are. Who knows why G-d does what He does.

Dis Domnu is right. The 'day' is probably not literally a 'day,' but a figurative use of the word. And just because the Torah doesn't talk about dinosaurs doesn't mean they didn't exist. Heck, Nanao bets Adam and Eve had a rollicking good time with those dinos!

ok...I'm short of following everything but....not really, a lot of this sounds more like your just wanting a topic.
But what about this, MAYBE scientist mis-calculated the time they all died, but it DOES take over a million years for bones to become fossils right, but...I'm just pulling at strings here...
considering there seer size and everything it would be hard to fit them all on a boat even the ark, and no one even truly knows how they died so maybe they all died in the great flood?
I'm just throwing that out there.
Other theories are 'Dragons' I think I read somewhere that maybe a dinosaur could have been mistaken for a dragon....were else could dragon stories come from?
other then that, it could also have been god really did make them first as an experiment so to say then killed them off and made Adam and Eve

It's very comprehensive, and delves into the ties between dragon and dinosaur. If you're curious about the link (yes, they do believe dragons were inspired by dinosaur remains) you should watch it some time. I can't remember the exact name, but it should be obvious, as it will say something about dragons. As to timelines; it does say that G-d created the creatures of the Earth before He created man, yes? The Torah does not say that all these creatures survived until man, only that they were at one point created.

And if shabbat was 24 hours, then all the rest had to be also.

If it mentioned just about every animal G-d created then why would it not mention dinosaurs?

If it mentioned just about every animal G-d created then why would it not mention dinosaurs? It mentions the thousands of species of animals that exist in the current world? I'm sorry, but I don't see that being true. Then again, I'm not through Genesis yet, so it's possible that I just missed it. As to the sabbath, I'm going to have to ask a question based on my lack of information. How many things do we (Jews) do that are symbolic of something else? The one I know of is Chanukah candles. We light candles each night, or oil lights, but G-d does not keep them burning constantly, as He did during Chanukah. Is it so hard to believe that the sabbath is also symbolic (which we already know it is, symbolic of G-d's day of rest) in terms of time?
