I definitely have to agree, the music is just gorgeous. Actually, I think the most FF music I play on the Piano comes from VI.

Seeing the banners reminds me of how great the character cast of the game is. None of the Final Fantasies on the PS can even come close to the amount of variety shown in these...what... 14 characters? Each of them had a distinct personality as well...especially in relation to the other characters.
Great stuff smile

Yes, Nobou Uematsu definately set the standard back in those midi days. To hear it orchestrated is amazing!
What are some of your favorite songs?
For me, its the orchestrated version of Aria de Mezzo Caraterre. With the real opera singer. *melts* And also, the vocal version of Terras Theme. Oh my god, its so beautiful. But going back to pure game music, I absolutely LOVE Techno de chocobo! And also The Magic Houses' theme, where you find Relm in the World of Ruin. So many good ones, hard to choose. The enchanted forest, and the ghost train, definately. 3nodding
As for characters, you're absolutely right! 14 characters, all different and unique. The characters were one of the biggest driving factors in the game. And, at least for me, so easy to bond with.

I personally think they are losing touch with the characters, they are basically creating ones that they believe would be popular in todays pop culture, and they need to take a look back into the old days for better character ideas. Also one cool thing about the game, I don't know if anyone noticed, but even when you split your team in 3, you still always have 2 left over if you get everyone, and since they are all so memorable, it really makes you choose which one that you want, and which ones unfortunately get left out.

Yeah, thats totaly true! Its like, you can have your cake, but you cant eat it. Even if you get all the characters, you'll probably never use 2 of them.

Celes I thought it was only attacking 4 times. Max, and then max magic was twice. whee Well...I'm pretty sure we've all used Sabin equipped with offering and genji glove to make him into a one man army MACHINE. smile I made a thread called Jaded Gamers on the Gamers forum (I'd link if I knew how) and we're now discussing how Final Fantasies of late have changed into something almost unrecognizable. The pull to make Final Fantasy some kind of mainstream thing can be attributed to the corruption. Or something.

I never used Sabin. My dream team was Locke, Celes, Edgar, and Cyan. Whats odd is, although Celes was the natural magic user, I would equip the genji glove on her, with the Atma Weapon, or Ragnarok sword, and have her uber attack. While Locke would cast Fire 3 twice in a row! xd
With the jewel box, right? Thats what let you double cast?

I only ever brought two characters up to level 99. Locke and Celes. xd The rest were probably around 40's or 60's..

My buddy was determined to not only get his characters to level 99...but use the esper lvl up bonuses to get his stats maxed out with each level as well. That's...hardcore wink
