Ahem. So I was reading Simon R. Green's Something from the Nightside last night, and lo and behold... a Doctor Who reference. I squeed like a fangirl. Two of my favorite things, coming together like so...
So, I got to thinking if there were any other books/movies/songs out there that mention the Doctor in one form or another.
Post Quotes, Lyrics, whatever- and remember to cite your source.

"His scarf was as long as Doctor Who's..."- Heart of Stone. C.E Murphy
"A jukebox as big as a TARDIS was pumping out an endless stream of hits and classings from the 60s pop scene..." - Something from the Nightside- Simon R. Green.
((Two of my favorite books, by the way. ))

I think Homer Simpson said something along the lines of, "Oh yeah? Come back in eight years Doctor Who..." and then something else but I can't quite remember what he said next ^^;;;

I recall my mother reading this one book with a Doctor Who reference.. It was something that these people should not get their likeness caught in any way as they didn't need any teenage fan chasing them like Doctor Who... I don't remember the book or the exact wording now though...

I found more! 3nodding
From Simon R. Green's Hex in the City:
"Poison! Poison gases, you idiot! Defend yourself! Eat the celery!
"I thrust a numbing hand into an inside coat pocket, pulled out the peice of celery, and chewed on it. I always keep a peice handy, pre-prepared with all kinds of useful substances, for just such occasions as this. It tasted bitter as I chewed, but it cleared my head rapidly. It's an old trick, but a good one, taught to me long ago by a Travelling Doctor I met in Hawk's Wind Bar and Grill."
"...[A]nd the Formica-covered tables were surrounded by all the familiar faces of the period, from the enigmatic Orlando to the Travelling Doctor and his latest companions."
Its funny that I never caught these references until I read the books the second time, after I became a Who fan. ^_^

Er...once on an episode of SNL they referenced it. Paris Hilton was the guest host (eww) and she wore a long scarf and asked people if they liked Daleks or something.
Can't remember which Doc had the rad scarf.

I was watching an old episode of a British comedy show called Dead Ringers, and someone dressed up has the Fifth Doctor (I think that was him. He's the one with the long scarf, right?) and filmed him going to a train station and making comment that are Doctor Who related. When on the train, he even accused one of the train escorts of being The Master because he had a beard xDDDD
I'll see if I can find the clip on the internet for you guys :3
EDIT: Actually, I've just realized, if you search for Dead Ringers Doctor Who on YouTube you'll find that the show has done quite a few Doctor Who spoofs. Very funny xD
