It depends. My first song was an acoustic cover of Gary Jules' "Mad World." Buffalo Springfield's "For What It's Worth" is also really easy. There's a guy on Youtube, Justin Sandercore, that's been really helpful for me, because he does some really easy beginner songs that he explains in a video, so you don't just get the chords, but also the rhythms and the feel of it.

If you told me what the song was, I could tell you probably.

As a newbie myself... for acoustic tabs I can't really tell you because almost everything I play is chords. Hey There Delilah is pretty simple as far as the intro goes if you're not trying to go as fast as the actual song at first.
For simple acoustic song chords, God Damn the Sun by The Swans is amazing simply because if you do it badly it's okay. If you have a capo The Park by Feist has only about 4 different chords to it and I can play it okay by now.

Try "Wish you were here" by Pink Floyd. It'd simple, easy. Only 5 chords to memorize.

If you need or want any easy solo licks, I got them for you. They're good for dexterity. Heres one for ya:

|---------------------------------------------| |---------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------7-----9| |------------------7------9-7-10-9----10---| |---7---8-7-10-8----10---------------------| |-8--10--------------------------------------|
|-8-7------7------------------------------| |------10-----10-8----10--8-----8------| |------------------------------10----10-9| |------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------| |------------------------------------------|

My first tab was "Keep Holding On" by Avril Lavigne. It was really easy.
I've noticed that people seem to really choke on Nickelback - I haven't found a decent tab for any of their songs yet.
