What if the fate of the world rests on hands of a depressed, teenaged girl? What if the angel of death was sealed inside the body of a sad loner, waiting for the chance to spring out and wreak havoc to the world? Bramalea, New York, September 2008, the North American school year just started and being a small town wherein everyone knew each other, the students already know of the new girl who just moved in. Already they have judged her as a loser nerd, quiet, and content being alone. But a dangerous secret, unknown to them and even the girl herself, is about to be unleashed. A secret that Bramalea High will never forget...

Kai is of a lean, athletic build, muscular but not to the point of making him look gigantic, being the track and field team captain his 4 years in high school. 6'1" and quite broad shouldered, Kai is very much different from a normal Japanese male. Another thing to note about Kai is his extremely famous, feminely handsome features, sporting a smile that could seriously send any female he looks at wobbly upon the knees.
Bio: Kaiden Kiske was the son of a Japanese immigrant couple, who came to Bramalea when Kai was only 2 years old. Here, Kai's father found a living as a Japanese sushi bar owner, the man a very adept chef and his mother a great businesswoman. Together the couple ran a modest yet very popular Japanese restaurant named Ichiban!, wherein Kai spent most of his childhood outside school since his parents are always busy running the restaurant. There, Kai made a habit of impressing clients by not only singing and dancing for them, but also trying out his hand on small magic tricks to entertain them, much to the liking of the clients who adored the little Kaiden. Thus through this Kai grew up to be a very confident, brash young man, very concious of how he looks in public (obvious from the way he always dresses to impress), and also a very great magician and illusionist.
Other Info: Captain of both track-and-field and football team, he was also the club president of the Art Club and an axeman (guitarist) for the legendary school rock band Tears Of An Angel, run by his close friend Eiji Wentz.

6'4", very muscular and very agile for a boy his size, Henry Boggart is the perfect athlete in every sense of the word. Thus the boy is very much of the conceited nature...
Bio: Captain of the Tae-kwondo team and a shoe-in for the captain position for the football team (rumor has it Kai is quitting the team...), one word can describe the very athletic Boggart...a jerk. He grew up in a household wherein athletic achievements are everything in life, his father the local town football hero back when he was in highschool. Thus Henry is viewed by his father as a 'failure' for letting a 'foreign kid' be better than him in football, which resulted in Henry's ever-growing resentment for the very popular and loved Kaiden Kiske.
Other Info:Jerk, snob, bully, idiot: words that perfectly describe the high and mighty Boggart. Completely focused in athletics, he does nothing else but practice for his Tae-kwondo matches or stay in the gym to train himself for football.

Eiji Wentz, highschool heartthrob and local rock band hero, he stands at a lean 5'11" build. He is not muscular but toned instead, never having been an athlete at all unlike his best friend Kaiden. He likes to swim though, thus explaining the toned muscle definition on his slim form. He is always seen wearing trendy punk rock clothing, his famous silver cross pendant dangling upon his exposed chest all the time he is seen in public. He sports a very punkish hairstyle, always dyed gray with bangs that cascade over his very Asian facial features. The only hint that he is quite in fact a mixed breed was his steel gray eyes that he inherited from his American father.
Bio: A lovechild of an American tourist and a Japanese courtesan, Eiji was conceived in Fukuoka, Japan without the knowledge of his existance informed to his biological father at all. It was just when Eiji was 5 years old that he learned of his father's ancestry thus the child immediately demanded that he see his father in person. It took 2 years before Eiji finally met the man, with Eiji being adopted right away by the rich American who already has another family in Bramalea. So Eiji was raised in a generally 'white' upbringing, having no knowledge of anything Japanese at all unlike Kaiden.
Other Info: Considered the the Kurt Cobain of Bramalea, women all over the city rush in droves all the time Eiji is sighted in public. But even with all the fame and throngs of beautiful women willing to bow down and kiss his feet, Eiji is still in search of that one woman who he's willing to give everything away for...

He is the vocalist of the band Tears Of An Angel.

Being a vagabond since he was 18, Terry Hanson had nature to shape his very muscular physique, all coming from years of walking or running (usually when he steals for food). Very tough and very grizzled, Hanson is clearly not a pushover not only apparent from his size but also from his tough bad-boy attitude. He has long waist length blonde hair, always worn in a ponytail as he has no time (and money) to get a decent haircut.
Bio: He grew up in Southern Texas, the son of a local rancher. He was raised to be the successor of his father's ranch, which was clearly not what Terry wanted for he ran away as soon as he could (during his first year in a junior college, taking agricultural technology). In highschool, Terry was an excellent football player, thus becoming Kaiden's mentor/role model when he was employed by Kaiden's father to man the stockroom of Kiske family restaurant Ichiban!. So for years, Kaiden learned everything he knew about football from Terry, with Terry training the boy into the best football player Bramalea has ever seen for years.
Other Info: Nothing else is known about Terry except that he indeed ran away from home when he was 18 and that he is currently living in a makeshift room inside the stockroom of the Ichiban! restaurant. The Texan is quite fond of the Japanese cooking of Kaiden's father, thus he relished living in the restaurant with food and shelter alone as payment (though Kai's father is saving Terry's wages in a bank account to give it to Terry once he decides to leave the restaurant).

Unkept, always looking like he just crawled out of bed, that's probably some of the things people around Matthew would say when asked about how he looks. He walks at a height of 5'8", pretty short for a male but he makes up for it with his hyperactiveness and loud mouth. He is of a slim build, nothing special since he was always deemed to be too short for the sport he loved so much which was football, thus he never got the chance to build up on his physique.
Bio: Matthew grew up in a middle-class family from downtown Manhattan. Being the only child of a working couple, Matthew had always been left to fend for himself, thus giving him his "me-against-the-world" attitude. He moved to Bramalea only 4 years ago after his parents struck it rich in the lottery.
Other Info: Besides watching football games in both the TV and of Bramalea's own football team, Matthew loves skateboarding and will always be seen cruising in the school hallways with his skateboard.

Geeky is probably the word that pops up right away when anyone lays their eyes on Rachel. Apart from the telltale sign she's an anime fan (her fave key chain dog-doll is from the Japanese game Final Fantasy VIII), she still ties her blonde hair up using a childish ribbon given to her by her mother. She is quite beautiful really, but it is always overshadowed by the fact that she is of the smart nerdy type, always wanting to be alone to devote her time in her studies. She has a slender 5'4" figure, a body most women her age (or any age) would die for, but it's always hidden by baggy shirts and jackets that Rachel prefers to wear.
Bio: She was the adopted daughter of a rich, retired doctor father and lawyer mother. They had moved to Bramalea just 2 months ago at the start of summer, giving just the right amount of time for the news of her presence to be spread around town before school starts. Nothing else is known about Rachel except that she was supposedly left upon the doorsteps of her adoptive parents' former residence, with nothing but cloth to shield the baby girl from that winter night.
Other Info:
Nerd, anime fan, loner, she is probably the embodiment of what it was to be a loser in highschool. Always the least athletic in her gym classes and the one who always stays home during school dances or parties, Rachel is never much of the social butterfly but she is a terribly bright (and amazingly beautiful) bookworm.

She stands at a very lean 5'7" frame, very toned for a woman's body. Cy is a big fan of the urban clothing style, influenced by her taste for 'gangsta' rap and hip-hop. She will always be seen in public wearing baggy pants, oversized boots and very tight revealing tops, the only thing feminine draping the young girl's toned body.
Bio: Born to a family of purely males (with the exception of course of her and her mother), Cy was raised most definitely in a very unfemine environment. Everything that revolved her was very much guy-ish, being the youngest and the only girl of 7 siblings. Thus why she is very much into guy stuff such as sports, especially football (she is Kaiden's number one fan).
Other Info: Loud, proud, and always very flirty; Cy is not the one to back down from any dare. She is probably one of the most sought after women in Bramalea High, if not the most sought after...

Thin yet with surprisingly saucy hips and thighs, Michelle is the women's swim team captain, thus her sport contributed to her trim 5'9" form. She is of no fixed fashion sense or style, always draping herself with anything she can find in her house (her closet is a mess…), may it be her older brother’s shirt or her mother’s clothes. Thus she will always come to school in a grungy, mismatched outfit.
Bio: A daughter to a well known divorced lawyer of a mother, Michelle has never known how it was to live the hard life, being spoon-fed her whole life time with everything she needed. But even with the constant spoiling of her needs, that still did not change Mitch’s helpful and friendly attitude. In fact, she even resented being rich, working as a waitress to pay for her car and clothing at the Japanese restaurant Ichiban!, owned of course by the parents of the local highschool heartbreaker, Kaiden Kiske, whom Mitch has a deep crush on for years (since Gr. 5 when Kai gave her a flower for Valentine’s Day).
Other Info: Very outgoing, helpful, and friendly are the first things that any regular client from Ichiban! would tell you when asked about the lovely (and only) waitress of the famous restaurant. As graceful as she was also pretty (Mitch had been taking ballerina classes since she was the age of 7 at the bidding of her mother), she is known to have never spilled a drop of ANYTHING when serving patrons in Ichiban!. She is also quite a bookworm and an activist, always seen in the local city library reading books or volunteering her time to local charities and groups.

Always dressed to impress, Angel would always be seen with the latest fashion trends; from make up to nail polish, everything Angel has is all about making you "wow". She stands at quite a statuesqe stature of 5'10", with a body perfectly fit for modelling, which she is not scared to show off. 'If you got it, flaunt it...', had always been her motto...
Bio: Angela was raised in the rich parts of Bramalea, where everyone seemed to live in the belief that to "flash the cash" is what's life is all about. Thus it explains her extremely spoiled attitude over everything: boys, clothes, money. Always used to getting what she wants, Angel will let nothing stand in her way to get it.
Other Info: She is what the everyday North American highschool would consider as a snobby b**ch, the hot yet extremely conceited and snobby girl of the school. Secretly she has a huge crush on Eiji, though she is always seen flirting all the time with the football players, particularly with Henry.

Appearance: Long red hair falls to her waist in soft waves that curl lightly at the ends. Vibrant jade green eyes pierce through the ones they fall on with a distant sadness, set perfectly into a pale face. She has a gently sloping nose that ends just before plump pink lips, a natural pout forming. Nova had never been very tall, standing about 5'6", and her thin frame makes her seem delicate.
Bio: Growing up in a Christian home, her father a preacher at the local church and her mother a flower shop owner, you'd expect Nova's life to be perfect. Both of her parents are the visions of what angels look like, soft blonde hair and bright blue eyes. Being born with a dusty bronze hair color, her parents hoped it would fade to be blonde, like their own. It didn't however. Instead, it deepened in shade till it was a dark brownish red color. Her father felt she was a demon child, and beat her often. Abused and lost, she grew up distant from everyone, including her family.
Other Info: Nova is soft and very shy, avoiding confrontation whenever she can. She always seems sad, even when she smiles. Her eyes hold her emotions, and the once lively color has dimmed in personality to form two perfect gemstones. She is never without a book, and reads every chance she gets.

A common first impression most people get in reaction to meeting Melodie is 'the girl next door'. Innocent, pure, sweet and mild-tempered, but as one gets to find out more about Melodie you would learn that she is more than just a pretty face. The brunette tends to give off a 'pure' vibe, with a usual soft smile on her face and gleaming brown eyes. Melodie isn't too tall only standing at almost 5'7", she is on the slim side and just her vibe tends to let people think of her as fragile as a glass figurine.
Bio:Melodie is very music inclined (hence her name, no pun intended), advanced in her studies and perhaps not too athletic. Mel is more the type to be found in the art room or the music room during her spares working on the new piano piece or finishing up her watercolor painting. Melodie has had a normal and rather happy family life, she has an older and younger brother and lives in a normal home with her brothers and parents with the exception of her grandmother's frequent visits. Melodie is the kind of girl that is the favorite at family reunions, she's pretty, well-mannered and has a good head on her shoulders. Mel is extremely friendly and speaks whatever is on her mind, usually.
In reality Mel is very outgoing, she probably doesn't know the meaning of the word 'shyness'.
Other Info:Melodie is the treasurer/secretary in the Art Club and therefore is rather familiar with Kaiden. Mel looks up to Kaiden as sort of a mentor, he was so involved with school activities.
Also Melodie met Eiji when he had first moved in across the street, she had found it so interesting that he was from Asia. Even as she grew out of the childhood amazement of meeting someone from another country Melodie was always friendly towards Eiji and thought of him as a good friend.
Melodie, despite what others might think, is a big fan of Tears Of An Angel

Appearance: Only difference from picture is her hair IS black and her eyes greener.
Bio: Sara originally grew up in a small town in Ohio. Her dad was very rich but preferred she get a good head on her shoulders in a quaint place. She now is being forced away from her friends now jumping her freshman year in Ohio, to her Senior year in New York. Shes a firecracker in personality once you get to know her, but shy till shes happy. Shes actually fairly rich on her own for being an amateur skateboarder and snowboarder.S he was offered to go pro but denied as she wanted to be normal. She's very angsty at school and can often be seen mad or annoyed. Shes very worried though as shes about to be a senior. She is though a violinist and thats her major output in school. It helps her transfer her emotions. Her dad is a programmer that became friends with Bill Gates. This is where the family money came from since her mom died giving birth to her. This is why you will normally never see her that girly.
Other Info: Shes in the school orchestra also a known skateboarder and snowboarder.

Cody has messy golden blond hair and emerald eyes with silver flecks that makes his eyes stand out. He's rather underweight and tall (standing at 6'0"), hence his nickname 'Twiggy'. Even so, Cody is quite an athlete. He is the captain and goalie of the Senior Boys Soccer Team at Bramalea High. Cody is most likely found at parties just about every weekend and girls are all over him. Not that he minds, of course.
Bio: Cody had moved to Bramalea during Middle School when his parents got divorced. His father now lives off somewhere in Oregon with his new girlfriend (who is old enough to be Cody's older sister for goodness sake). His mom is out at work or with her sister and friends about 24/7 and leaves him to be babysat at hi cousin's house. Cody has a rather twisted conception of life and there are only a few select people who are able to get this guys really talking. He's the kind of guys girls would describe to being hard to approach, he hardly talked to anyone except some of his teammates, his cousin and a few close friends.
Other Info: Cody is Melodie's mother's sister's son, making him her cousin. He's getting ticked off since she so often calls him by his childhood nickname of 'Twiggy' and has gotten other people calling him Twiggy or Twigs too.
Also, Cody is the drummer for Tears Of An Angel.

Appearance: 5'3'' with an athletic form, Rose is the perfect image of Henry's sister.
Bio: Rose is the school's star tennis player, keeping with her family's image. Despite her relation to Henry Boggart, however, she has the complete opposite personality to him. She even goes so far as to tease her older brother. However, she knows when to quit, and does love her brother. Even with this love of her brother, she spends a lot of time at Ichiban! and has started to develop a slight crush on Kaiden, much to her brother's dismay

She is Henry's younger sister and goes to the same school.

Bio: She has been living in Bramalea all her life... but Tolosia is not really content. Her parents died when she was 9 in a car accident, and she lives with her older sister Tshia (who's 24). Her parents were always very 'different' when they were alive, and this is reflected in their choice of names for their two daughters. The two names are made up, and not in any baby name book. When they died, they left many strange notebooks and records in their house attic which Tolosia found. Tshia does not know anything about it, but Tolosia has read, and is still reading, the various records. The books record strange events and occurrences...mainly of magic and odd lore.
Other Info: She goes to Bramalea High, and is very chatty and outgoing. Sometimes though, people get annoyed with her happy attitude...but she is not always 'happy.' She thinks about magic constantly, probably from her parents' notebooks. It is almost as if she lives in an alternate universe sometimes. She is quite the daydreamer, but even with her wild imagination, she's very intelligent and gets straight A's. She used to be quite the bookworm, but lately, she has only been reading her parents' notebooks, and required schoolbooks... but she does have a tendency to write. She writes a lot of fantasy or sci-fi books, and even keeps her own notebooks of supernatural events. She is always out looking for adventure, and is not content in the 'boring' town of Bramalea. Tolosia is very observant, and usually notices things other people can't.

V. Setting

Bramalea City, New York
Just like any North American suburbia, where the moderately rich and extremely rich folks of New York cohabitate together. A very safe and very clean city compared to other places, it is the perfect place for anyone to start a life. In every sense it is the perfect place to live in. But what anyone knows is that soon, all the quiet bliss that Bramalea had been known for is soon to be rocked...

Bramalea Secondary School (Bramalea High or Bram High to rival schools and outsiders)
Of all the highschools in the city, Bramalea High is for sure the most famous. The school had been renowned to produce the some of the finest crops of athletes and brainiacs North America had seen: their school teams state champions for 20 years straight and their academic average among the highest in the state. Though it is of a very high prestige status, the insides of Bramalea High and its population is very much like just any other highschool, cafeterias always trashed and the students always loud as they passed through the halls to get to class.

Ichiban! Japanese Restaurant
Located just a meagre 3 blocks away from Bramalea High is the world-famous Japanese restaurant that Kai Kiske's family owns. Locals and foreigners alike flock to the small, modest establishment to sample the Kiske family recipes for traditional Japanese food (with lineups during peak hours that span a block!). Its a very popular student hangout during lunchbreaks and it is the usual meeting place of the band Tears Of An Angel, the rock group that Kai is in.

Square One Shopping Center
The local mall and reputedly the biggest in all of New York, it is probably the greatest place to shop for anything you can imagine. Naturally, the 4-story establishment is the place for students to 'chill' in after school and during the weekends.

1. What is the story of White Lies anyways mister?

The story of White Lies takes place in the fictional city of Bramalea, New York, wherein most of the main characters are normal, everyday highschool students (just like the most of us here) with the EXCEPTION of one character, who's name is Rachel Weston. Apparently, everytime she experiences any extreme emotion, something inside her is triggered.....
