It was a nice sunny day, a small breeze blowing by occasionally and barely any clouds in the sky. This found a small mare by the name of Charlamagne on a leisurely walk down a path. It felt so good to be out again, especially since it's been so long since she last been away from her teepee. In fact, it has been some time that she met any other soquili. She was quite eager to see a new face today as she strode further down the path.

The warmth of the sun was pleasant along with the breeze that ruffled his short tail.
For once the blue-coated stallion wasn’t out exploring, rather he had settled down in a small glade, taking a rest after his extensive travailing. Sharp teeth cropped the lush growth of fresh grass as the sweet burbling of the small stream close by kept him company. Sapphire hide flickered over bulked muscle on occasion as an insect bothered him. Lifting his head, grass sticking from his mouth he shook his mane, the upright punk-style shock of blue flicking briefly, along with the male's ears before they pricked forward suddenly. Another soquili? Or something else...
The ever curious Cloud swallowed his mouthful and stood upright, one hoof lifting to settle on the firm ground under him.

The small spotted mare went along her way, making it to a clearing in the forest where a stream past through. Her ears quickly perked up and her gaze shifted when she saw movement not too far from her.
Standing some distance away, was a blue furred soquili, a stallion by what she could guess. With a slight tilt of her head, her green eyes gave him a brief scan over. She really hoped that she wasn't interrupting him as she slowly made her way closer, ears flattening just slightly.

On the contrary, the sky-toned male whickered a soft greeting as she started to approach. It was always a pleasure to meet new soquili, or almost always… so long as they weren’t trying to turn him into lunch.
Ears pricked he stepped forwards a couple of paces, short tail flicking in interest as he watched the dainty mare walk towards him. Once within a reasonable distance he called out to her. “Greetings, this is certainly a pleasant surprise.”
Neck arched he waited, storm-grey eyes warm and friendly as was his nature.

Hearing the stallion's whicker, her ears perked back up and she gave him a small whinny in reply. Her own tail gave a small flick as she got even closer, stopping not too far from him. Now, she could distinguish a cloud shaped pattern on his chest.
At his greeting, she smiled and bowed her head lightly. "Hello. I'm very sorry if I have bothered you."

The blue stallion chuckled softly and shook his head, his short upstanding mane rippling with the motion. "Not at all, you are very welcome here." He smiled happily, stepping forward slightly. "Im Cloud, its a pleasure to meet you. I've not seen too many around these parts."

The spotted mare was relieved to hear that she wasn't bothering the stallion, giving him a small smile to show it. "It's very nice to meet you Cloud. My name is Charlamagne. That's a shame. I don't live too far from around here and I take walks down this way whenever I feel like going out."

Cloud chuckled softly. "I must have been in the wrong area all this time then. I've missed meeting you before. Though I'm still relativly new here." He glanced up at the sky as an eagle circled over head briefly before returning his warm grey gaze to the mare.

"Ah, I'm sure that it wasn't your location. I just think we always seem to miss each other in one way or the other." She said with a small smile. She had also looked up for a moment before glancing back to him and adding. "You're new? I hope you enjoy it here, it's a really nice area."
[Quite alright, my posts haven't been the greatest either.]

He grinned back, head lifting with ears pricked attentively. "Apparently so, though I have only been in this area for a few days now." He replied easily before giving the mare a nod. That punky mane of his swaying but refusing to do much else despite how animated the stallion was.
"Yes, and it is a lovely area. I thought it would be nice to rest here for a few days. I am a wander by nature but even I like to pause and study the beauty around me." A warm smile touched his muzzle, no hint of guile or meanness in his eyes.
"If I am trespassing I must apologise. I rarely know whose land I pass through, nor do I stay long enough to find out usually.."

Her tail gave a small flick, pretty relaxed around the stallion despite usually being rather timid when first meeting others. "Well, I don't take the same path every day, so there's another reason why we haven't met until today."
Her smile didn't fade as he told her that he was a wanderer. "That sounds lovely. I tend to have a wandering heart as well, but it's always good to have someplace to come back to."
She shook her head when he apologized for trespassing. "You're not trespassing at all. At least, from where I'm concerned you're not. My teepee is some distance away from here. But I can't say if anyone else lives around this area.

He dipped his head again, one ear bobbing lazily. "I suppose that is one thing about staying in one area. You get to learn all of the various trails and secret little places of beauty... " He looked thoughtful for a moment, studying the mare.
She really was a lovely thing, with her soft grey spotted coat and those clear aqua eyes. And that shock of blue mane that was remarkably like his own coat. He wondered idly if she was the reason he had stayed in this area for so long... had the wind whispered in his ear, telling him to wait for this meeting? Of course he knew nothing about her.. she could be happily mated with ten youngsters. But this was the first time he had even thought about a life standing still... the first time he had seen a single good point in making one area his homeland above all others.
Shaking his head slightly, blue mane rippling, he flashed her a soft smile. "I suppose you are right... to be honest I have never considered living in one area. The hill yonder always calls to me.. I need to see that next hidden view, follow that shaded path and see where it sends... " He chuckled softly, blue tail flicking.
He looked back the way she had come. "So you live in one of those mini-mountain things.. with a two-legger?" He asked, grey eyes curious, intrigued. He remembered seeing the village with Kairi and her ferret companion.
