Kayne was sprawled out in the grass, grooming the pads of his paws like he usually did. His tail flicked amusedly behind him, despite the task at hand being... quite boring. He yawned mid-groom, tongue hanging out comically before he flopped his chin down onto the ground.
"Why is this place so boring...?"

 Naomi was awfully bored, not considering lonely without her Kiris friend about.
She was much to playful to just sit around and wait for her to come find her either.
She got up from the soft dirt where she was laying,
and bounced away from the forest
and towards the grassy fields in search of the Kiris.
Upon reaching them, however, she became sidetracked.
Sitting in a patch of grass, a blue runt minya was cleaning his paws.
Normally pretty shy, the following was unusual for Naomi.
Maybe it was the fact that the minya was a runt, though. :]
She bounded through the grass and ran straight up to him.
Stopping and looking right at him, she was instantly embarassed at her behavior, and turned a rosy (and she hoped unnoticed) pink.
"Hi!..." she managed to softly squeak.

He nearly jumped out of his fur when the squeaked 'hi' came out of nowhere. In a puffed ball of fur, he freaked and tumbled about in a random fashion before stopping on his back. He looked at the little female who appeared upside down for a moment before he realized he was upside down.
"Hi," he managed, rolling back onto his paws and shaking the grass out of his fur.

Naomi giggled at the minya, now knowing he was a friend and not a new-born enemy,
not having considered this could have been the case beforehand.
Regaining her confidence, she squeeled with delight and her new found friendship,
"Did I scare you!?"
She smiled at him as her tail whipped behind her playfully.

"No, I just enjoy flailing about and freaking out." He huffed a bit, dusting off his chest. "Yes... you scared me." He sat down, eying her. "Where did you come from? I didn't even here you walk up!"

Naomi stopped smiling but couldn't help to keep a small grin.
"Oh, well I'm sorry than..."
She paused before adding,
"I came from the forest over there."
She pointed back towards the forest before turning to face the runt again.
"I really am sorry for scaring you, though, I didn't mean to.."
Naomi felt a little guilty now and her face expressed concern.
Trying to change the mood slightly, she sat down softly in the grass and asked kindly,
"So... what's your name?"

"Don't worry about it. I scare easily," he assured her. His ears perked slightly, looking at where she had pointed then back at her. "I'm Kayne. What's your name?"

Naomi grinned again, once more excited.
"Kayne?" she played with the word in her mouth.
"I like it! It's very.."
she wanted to say cute, but figured that with him being a boy, that could be taken the wrong way.
"charming!"
He was awfully cute though, she thought, though she did not say this to him.
"Oh! & my name's Naomi!"
She turned rosie again, embarassed that she almost forgot to answer him.

"Naomi, hm? Nice to meet ya." He groomed his chest for a moment before eying her again. "It's nice to meet other runts. I keep getting picked on by the big guys."

"Yeah.. your my first."
Instantly she turned fuschia.
"First runt I've met I mean.
You should meet my Kiris friend, Naomi, she's really very nice!
I can't say I've met any others though, they all tend to shy away from me."
Naomi shrugged.
Getting ansy, she changed the subject again.
"We should...go play or something! Do you want to play?!"

He quirked a brow at the femme, "You want to go play... with me..." After thinking for a moment, he shrugged. "Yeah, sure. Why not? Where are we going?"

Naomi giggled and shoved him playfully.
"Yeah! Of course, silly! Why wouldn't I?"
She eyed him suspiciously, but was too energetic not to accompany it with a smile.
"Hmmm... I'm not sure actually, I was kinda hoping you may have something in mind.
Somewhere you'd like to go?
If not I'm sure I can rack my little brain and come up with something!"
Naomi was sitting patiently but you could see her tail was bouncing with energy behind her.

"Woah!" He toppled over when shoved, having not expected it and lost his balance. He rolled back onto his paws and shook the grass out of his fur again. "Note to self: never underestimate a girl..." He dusted his chest down before giving her a look and flicked his tail. "I don't generally 'play', so I don't honestly know of any places to do so."

"Woah.

No wonder you looked bored!
Seriously, you need to get out more, mister."
She giggled.
"Come on then, I shall show you around the forest!"
She turned around and trotted off back towards the forest.

Once again, he quirked his brow and soon after followed. He eyed his surroundings wearily, making sure he would remember the way back. "I take it there's something wrong with never having 'played' before?"
