Zillah walked around hopeing she wasn't going to be meeting a stubborn stallion once more.She rolled her eyes as she walked around by the beach.She snorted some at the seagulls and tried biteing them.Pesky little monsters.Zillah flopped her tail around and stoped.She looked near a noise.She blinked and snorted.Stallion was it?

Ayden stood by the shorline staring unblinking at the black lobster sitting in the turf. His teal brows furrowed and his right eye twitched slightly just before he blinked. "Ahhh man!" He cried stomping his foot into the water taking note of his black shelled friend laughing under the water eyes still open. "You don't blink do you?" He asked glaring at the hard back accusingly.
"Not that you'll ever know of." Uyasga answered a bit cryptically a sly smile on his face. The stallion that had found and befriended was not as bright as he had hoped but he had a good heart...and the ears of a deaf rabbit. He stared up at the two-toned stallion who was shouting something about a cheater at the moment and he didn't seem like he would be stopping any time soon.
"Ayden!" he shouted before pinching the stallions right foreleg to catch his attention. "There is a female of your kind behind you."
Ayden leapt skyward at the sharp pain. One would have expected he would be used to these frequent pinches by now but claws never felt good. "A wha?" He blinked then turned about. He blinked finally noticing the mare behind him. "Oh hey there." He said sheepishly a lopsided smile inherited from his father falling on his face.

Zillah looked at the stallion and a.....Lobster!?!Zillah snorted at the little lobster."Hello Dear.I'm Zillah.And you must be?"She looked at them with an evil look in her eyes.But she was both flurty and dark."Female of his kind?"Zillah rolled her eyes.Boys geeze.But she loved them.No one knew.She looked at the stallion's smile.She shook her head and walked near the two.

"Uh..."Ayden gulped audibly shifting his weight about both from nerves and the pain in his ankle. He didn't know what that look in the painted mare's eyes was for but he kinda liked it. It made him feel funny and that funny feeling was making him a bit nervous. "I'm Ay...Ay..." He paused and looked down at his lobster friend who only rolled his eyes. "I'm Ayden." He finally managed coughing slightly.
He didn't get what it was about mares. Whenever he was with Amoena or his mom he never had this hard of a time speaking. Though maybe it was the fact that there was a huge difference between family and others. Perhaps if he went off on a slight outburst like he had with that one Mara mare he'd met...but then...things hadn't exactly gone so well with her. "Don't mind Uyasga..." He said smiling a bit apologetically. "He doesn't really like four legged things. Doesn't even like me really."
Uyasga only rolled his eyes again. He liked the four legged kinds just fine. Just not females. Girls were trouble in whatever way you looked at it. They got between friends faster then a riptide could sweep you out into deep water.

"I'm Zillah.Nice to meet you Ayden."Zillah looked at Ayden and then the lobster."I see."She snorted a bit at the lobster.She smiled at Ayden."Is this a nice day?"

"Yeah...nice to meet you too." He said with a smile feeling more comfortable with the change to more familiar conversation. Standard greetings were dull but they weren't dangerous which was good. "Yeah...yeah! It's a real nice day! The sun is shining and it's warm even though it's winter! Sure it's a bit cold but if it was hot I'm pretty sure we'd all fall over like frying fish!" His smile widened his brief shy spell vanishing.

Zillah laughed and smiled."Yes.Very nice day!"She wasn't usually like this.But Happy day happy day.She watched him shyness dissaper.

Ayden grinned back in response in what could only be described as a thousand-watt smile. Of course the sun shining directly on him was probably helping him out a bit. With his eyes shut still grinning like a fool he started laughing a bit. "Can you believe me?" He asked Zillah opening his eyes slightly. "I was actually a bit freaked out when I first saw you!" He continued to laugh blissfully unaware that what he was saying could be considered offensive to some.
Uyasga laughter bubbled out of the water quite literally, though, it sounded more like some poor animal was drowning then some one's laughter. He loved his four-legged friend almost like a brother but the horse was a fool with the social grace of a drunk clam. The hard shell rather hoped that this female was more forgiving then other mares he had seen walk by. Or if she had a sense of humor, that would work out well too. There was only so much pain he could watch his friend suffer through before taking personal offense.

Zillah blinked a little.She laughed somewhat then stoped."So what would you like to do?"She rolled her eyes a bit.she nuzzled him some.She taged him."Your it."

"Well...I guess playing sounds-" His words cut short as he flinched from the sudden touch. It was the kind of touch he hadn't felt since he was a child. A kind nuzzle, and even then he only ever felt it from his mother, father and older half sister. "Ummmmmm..." It was the only thing he could get out of his mouth at the moment. He stared at the brown mare for a moment until she moved and spoke the words he was very familiar with. He unfroze and smiled at the mare. "Alright! But I'm warning you I'm fast! You can have a ten second head start."
Games! Games he understood. They had the same rules no matter who was playing. Words...words he didn't understand to well. There were to many subtleties to fully understand and some languages even went unspoken. It was all very complicated.
The lobster watched this all with interest from the water. From the way the female was acting she had some interest in being with his friend. From the looks of things Ayden hadn't realized that yet. He couldn't say it shocked him though. That two toned four-legger was as cute and innocent as a male could come but those things had their down falls. With his innocence came a lack of common sense. It was a problem to say the least but being unable to leave the water Uyasga was unable to teach the boy what he should have naturally known.

Zillah taged him once more and took off running."I bet you can't get me!!"She was half way down the hill already.She knew that the lobster knew what she wanted.She rolled her eyes and kept running.Her mane and tail whipping everywhere.

"I bet you anything I can." Ayden laughed wholeheartedly and waited for Zillah to make it all the way down the hill before starting after her. His legs pumped fiercely as he galloped down the hill after her, his head pushed forward, his mane and tail streaming out behind him. In a few short moments he'd already reached the base of the hill. While he didn't agree that wisdom came with age he believed very much that skills improved. Skills like speed and endurance. What he called playing was what most referred to as training.
Uyasga shook his head as he watched the two horses run off before slipping under the waves. If the horses wanted to leave him alone, then fine. He'd make Ayden beg for forgiveness later.

Zillah heard him comming.She ran faster.She heard his hoofs hitting the ground.Zillah knew he was comming faster and faster.She slowed down and looked behind her.Watching him comming towards her she turned to face him.

Ayden's whole body was smiling. Everything about him just seemed to shout 'I'm so happy right now'! And then everything switched. Zillah was facing him and he was going to fast to stop. His face fell as he crashed into the mare almost full force.

Zillah didn't have time to blink and he hit her.She fell to the ground and whinnied.Boy she shouldn't have done that.She layed down on the ground near him and looked at him."I'm sorry...Ayden.I'm sorry!"She was sore and looked at him.What would happen after this?
