And on, and on, and on......
Eridanus grumbled slightly. This had been a great idea, to go out on a wander to find the constellation he was named after. His mother had promised he would enjoy it and meet new Soquili, but so far, he had been totally alone.
He snorted slightly and looked up at the sky. It was clear, but there was a slight breeze which kept the heat of the sun at bay. Where is everyone...?

The sun of day beat against her ivony coat, vined with marks of roses and their leaves. Analae's purple main fell to the ground, and she looked about. It was not long before her silver gaze fell upon the form of a beautifully coated Stallion. His tail with colors of white, teal, blues, white, and black... his coat mostly black, with hints of blue and white in places... an adorable little heart marking his cheek bone.
She tilted her head a bit. The poor stallion looked bored... twice as bored as she currently was... and that was quite bored. She eyed him, as she moved forward along her own, self-made path, before stopping, continuing to keep site of him out of the corner of her eyes.
Thats when it only finally hit her. It's not polite to stare... Analae, she reminded herself, reluctantly averting her gaze.

Eridanus looked at the ground for a moment. Where to now...? He looked around, as if looking for a sign.
Not a sign. But a familiar shape. Another Soquili. And he or she appeared to be watching him.
Eridanus blinked a few times, as if expecting this 'vision' to disappear. But it stayed. He cocked his head slightly. Should... I go say hello....? He mused to himself. He was still a bit unsure, a little shy even...

[-amused so bad at self- I saw the Heart on his chest, and the stars, right? And all I was thinking was "Kingdom hearts.. they look very Kingdom Hearts'y..." and then I saw that his dad is Oathkeeper. Well duuuurh XD]
She'd looked back over to the Stallion... just long enough to catch his gaze on her. She blinked once, lifting her head up a bit. Might as well talk to him, Yes?
"...Hello." Her tone was soft, and seemingly sweet, despite the fact that she was usually one to be getting into trouble. As far as she was concerned, her mother had cursed her with such a pretty little voice... a deceiving voice, as Alenazsa sometimes put it. Analae shoved away the thoughts on her own voice, to watch the Stallion... carefully, for a good moment.

[ XD! Yush, he has a purty daddy and mummy.... so he ish also teh pretty ;D ]
Eridanus blinked again a few times. To anyone watching him, he probably looked a bit dumbfounded. He was glad to hear a soft 'hello' coming from the other Soquili. A friendly Soquili.
Then his mind clicked. A soft voice like that meant a mare. He gulped slightly.
"Hello back to you...." He called over, unable to surpress a small smile.

[Mare or a very girly guy. -SHOT-]
Analae grinned softly, trotting over to meet the stallion. He seemed even 'prettier' up close,.. for a Stallion, of course. He seemed like such a gentle Stallion... unlike Persephonix and... Aveshar. Of course, due to the fact that they where both Kalonas... she barely considered them Stallions. Beasts, perhaps. Especially Aveshar.
The Kalona that believed that he "Owned" her, and that she was one of his little dolls to screw around with.
She was happy that he'd decided he had better things to do than hang around her... gave her time to get away and socialize with actual,... fairly normal Soquili.
And this, Eridanus, seemed like the very Stallion to make her happy and tear her thoughts away from that of the cold black Kalona.

Eridanus watched this seemingly vine-covered mare trot up to him and his hooves refused to move. His smile, however, was still present. She certainly was unusual, especially since the only light-coloured Soquili he had ever met was his father. He looked at her again and noticed her eyes matched his almost in colour.
"Nice to meet you... My name is Eridanus..." The words came out almost as if by magic, as his mind was blank.

"And mine is Analae." She said, her tone still soft,.. though with a sharp little edge to it... However, not a dangerous edge.
She eyed the stallion. "A pleasure, Eridanus..." She was still polite, to those that deserved it. Her mother taught her that. To those of whom deserve your time, be polite, and don't be utterly lazy in your speech, Analae. She remembered most everything her mother said to her... except the things she didn't Want to remember.
Thankfully, this was one of those things she didn't mind having to Keep in mind.

Eridanus cleared his throat and lifted his head slightly. "Analae.... an unusual name..."
He noticed her wandering eyes and he shuffled his hooves slightly. But he wasn't as nervous as he expected to be. However, he sensed this mare perhaps wasn't as soft as her voice was. There was a certain... edge to it. But that only made him extremely curious...
"What brings you out here....? It is a little bit like the middle of nowhere..." he smiled a little. This field was surrounded by nothing by forests. No others, no homes...

She raised a brow at him for a moment, before shrugging a bit. "I personally like my name." She mumbled. She'd never heard the name Eridanus before,.. at least not from what she knew. So, he was one to talk.
Her mind flipped over to his talk of... the middle of no where. "..I wanted to get away. And it's easiest to find yourself calm when you're surrounded by nothing, and have no worries of something popping out of the shadows and attacking you whilst your guard is down." She blinked. Now her tone seemed mostly dead,.. dull.. leaving her words to sound.. almost creepy, though... not quite.

"Oh! I didn't mean bad-unusual! Not at all! I just meant I'd never heard anything like it before, either in Soquili or in nature!" Eridanus blurted his words out, thoroughly embarassed that he'd caused offence. He mentally slapped himself.
He looked around, anything to not look at her since his cheeks were still flushed with colour, the usually light blue heart on his cheek now a very obvious shade of pink.
"Yeah... The peace and quiet is quite....." He drifted off as her last few words settled and he realised what she'd said. It made him a little uneasy to think that was something she had to worry about where she was from.
"Urm.... attacking....?"

Analae laughed... a true laugh, as well. Not a half-hearted one. "Calm down... I was just kidding. Well, not about me liking my name, but..." She trailed off before she began rambling... a little smile on her lips.
She watched the Stallions expression change as he spoke. A sigh rolled out of her.
"...You can just.. forget I said anything about that, alright?" She said, glancing away.. her own expression turning to something of both anger and hurt.

A wave of relief washed over Eridanus as she laughed. Thank goodness! He didn't want to offend the first mare he met!
"I assure you, your name is beautiful..." He added with a smile, dipping into a low bow before standing up straight.
When she sighed, he looked at her quizzically. Until she spoke.
"Oh... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to bring up any bad memories, recent or old." He said apologetically. Boy, he sure was messing this up good and proper! He flicked his forelock out of his eyes, trying to think of a new subject.
"So... were you heading somewhere in particlar, or just wandering and enjoying the scenery....?"

Analae just looked over at the stallion, and let out another sigh. Move away from the bad, Analae... 'least for now. she told herself. He obviously wanted to change the subject for the mood's sake, and that, she was fine with.
"...Just, out, looking for something to amuse me or entertain me for a while. But, yes. Enjoying the scenery was the most of what I was doing... other than willowing in my boredom..." She laughed softly again, looking over at the other calmly.
It was nice.. being by someone and not getting ticked at them within seconds... it's how her past few meetings had been, it seemed.
