Im kinda excited to buy my materials this week to make some amigurumi smile
On friday, my mom is gonna help me make some. I know some crochet, but my mom is the spider when it comes to doing stuff like that.

Anyways, is anyone into making amigurumi? I mean I thought since lolitas love to do such things like sew and knit, i can imagine they do some rather cute amigurumi smile

it's pretty easy! you can borrow beginner books out of the library, and amigurumi uses mostly just single crochet and slip stitch, the two easiest stitches in crochet. only thing I ever have a problem with is keeping track of which round I'm on biggrin I'm too lazy to use a stitch marker

xD I tried to crochet meself a pair of wristlets once, but it ended up being something that looked like a leech... It was scary ;_;
I love Amigurumi >.< I wish I could learn how to crochet but I'm completely useless.

Hello, there! Thank you for bringing this lovely craftsmanship to the guild's attention.
I'm scooting this over to the Sewing and Design sub-forum. (:

I do a LOT of knitting and crochet, and I've been meaning to make some amigurumi for a while now. It used to be quite difficult to find English patterns for them, but the Lion Brand website has a ton now.

The only similar amigurumi thing I've crocheted thus far has been a Dalek from Doctor Who, but I never bothered to take photos of it.

Once I've made a couple, I'll definitely post pictures *runs off in search of hooks*

My sister is going to make some. (weird coincidence that I see this thread the same day, haha)
I might try one sometime too if I can find the time.
