Namvi had always been in the forest, and had hardly looked outside its boundaries. she had awoken from her protostar stage in the middle of a clearing, and had had to fend for herself ever since. She did fairly well.
the forest was, for the most part, untouched by starlet hands, although a few visited.
Namvi was always shy of these visitors to her forested home, and would always hide behind trees. However, she has a curious nature, and would watch the starlets as they hiked through the woods.
She loved to play with her wind magic, although she wasn't particularily good, she wasn't exactly a terrible magic user either. she enjoyed making leaves go around and around in a dance of red, yellow, green, and brown... especially when a visitor was there to see. She loved startling them.
one day, trees began to go missing- leaving stumps behind. She went to investigate, and saw that people were cutting them down and dragging them away, this confused her, and so she decided to leave the forest to find out why these trees were being killed.
The answer- that they would be used for building and burning, puzzled her. She decided to stay outside of her woods to learn more... and try to stop it

Namvi runs from tree to tree, hiding behind each one. there was another starlet in her forest. They were interesting- just walking, always on the same, well trodden path that others had trod on, looking up at the leaves, looking down at the leaves, stopping to look towards where Namvi had been, thinking they had seen movement.
Namvi loved to watch them, but she was afraid to talk to them. What if they took her away from here, like they did to the trees? What if they kept talking? What would she say? so she just watched, and waited.
She had set up a nice leaf pile further down the trail. when they got near, she would blow it at them, and make the leaves dance, while she was behind a convenient tree.
The expression the other starlet would make would be wonderfull! confused and questioning all at the same time.
They would know it was magic, and look for the caster. But they wouldn't find her! she would hide, and keep hiding. Namvi knew these forests well, and she knew where to hide.

She darted from tree to tree, following the hiking Starlet. they were coming closer to her leaf pile, and she was grinning with anticipation.
But wait? what were they doing to her trees? The other Starlet was tying red bands to the gnarled trees along the path- which, in Namvi's opinion, were the most wonderful ones of all, with their strange shapes and handy footholds, their struggle for life obvious in their twisting and turning and bumps.
The starlet kept walking, stopping only to tie the bands.
Namvi watched from a distance, puzzled. None of the other Starlets had done this.
