There was a tornado in the area I live in. It was scary. Luckily, it was like on the other side of town. I was at school and we were told to go into the halls and we sat there for over 40 minutes and I was sitting next to my friend who just moved here and she was really freaked out!! She just moved from Texas but the part that gets lots of floods, not tornados. I was comferting her cause we were all freaked out. The teachers told us what would happen if the tornado came this way, the windows would get dark, there would be a loud horrible noise that sorta thing. I kept imagening that the windows were getting darker, just freaking me and my friends out even more. (I got to sit on the other side of the halls as my crush!! heehee.) but finally, we were able to go back into class and rush to our electives. Over 5 girls were crying, they were so scared of their families. We haven't had a tornado since 1972, a really deadly one. This one wasn't that bad. If you go to Katu.com on the front page, you can read more about the tornado stuff and maybe catch an e-mail I wrote to them. (If they even show it...)
Discuss: -Have you ever had a experience like that?? -What would you have done if there was a tornado in your area?? -Are there tornados where you live ofter?? -What do you do when there are tornados??

D: Scary. There aren't any tornadoes here, and I've never had an experience like that. But I think I would grab..my ipod, phone, psp, money... Basically all the expensive stuff. D: Oh and favorite clothes. x] This also applies to house fires, floods and...tsunamis?

Yeah, me too. Except my iPod is broken right now... crying It's frozen. Sad. I'll try to get it fixed though, if not, return it. Money, I don't have much left of it anymore... NOT my cell-phone... Let the evil thing DIE!!! Hahgahahahaaha sorry, I hate my cell-phone. I need a new one... All my stuffed animals. I know it seems little kiddish but I love them all, I can't let them get lost. I would cry for 10 days straight if my house burned down though. It makes me sad just thinking of the sorta desaster.
For floods, we rarely get those and they really mess up much of our stuff... Tsunamis, we never get those cause we're kinda far away from any body of water really. We have to drive for 2-4 hours to get to the beach. Soo I don't have to worry much about that sorta thing...

Omg. Tornados. gonk They do not bring good memories.
On my eighth birthday, we were camping in our trailer up at a place called Storee Lake. And my mom woke me up, and our trailer was rocking all weird-like. And my mom said there was a tornado and we have to go to the main shop until it passes over. So, we had to go outside, and drive on a four-wheeler (around fallen trees, and branches and dirt kept flying at us), until we got to the main shop. We slept there. The only thing that got damaged was the awning on the trailer. And strangely, that's the only thing my Papa cared about. Didn't ask how we were or anything. neutral
But yes. I'm glad you and your school were okay! Were those girls families okay?

I live in Canada. 3nodding We don't get tornados or earthquakes or tsunamis or volcanoes or any of that stuff. We get snow instead. xD Which surprisingly, can do a lot of damage if you get enough of it.

»Gah. That's scary! D': I remember one time my mum, brother, father and I were all driving across country [either from here [[New Mexico]] to Michigan, or vise versa], and my dad was in our '92 Aerostar van. My mum was in our '87 Mercury Cougar and my brother was like, a little baby [this was around nine years ago]. I was in the front seat [I think], and I looked up through the wind-shield and there were clouds all around us except for right above us. I was like, "Mommy. What's that?" And she was like, "There's a tornado forming above us. Just stay calm and don't freak out." And a few minutes later, I looked up and you couldn't see anything. She couldn't see past the front grill of her car, and all I remember was hearing the "click"-ing of the caution lights, the sound of the wind, cars honking their horns frantically to make sure other drivers knew they were there. It was so scary. We're lucky we survived. My dad was driving in front of us, and he didn't even put his caution lights on for the sake of my mum. Somehow we caught up with my dad and pulled-off to some gas station, where my mum got out of the car and started screaming at my dad. That's all I remember. Lol.
♫ I wish I was queer so I could get chicks. ♫

We get tornadoes occasionally where I live. A few days ago Sarnia had Tornado Watch.
