Baka'Mbu had one really good friend in the world, one she kept with her always. Infact, it never left her side. She carried her friend now, tucked behind her ear as she padded along, her white toes gripping the earth as she went. Her best friend and plaything in the world, her white feather-at her side-ready for action. But for now, her mindset was on finding something to snack on-she had found a small snake but that was not appitizing enough and her belly still rumbled its anger at her. She shushed it as she went, her black ears twitching this way and that.

She gave a few little prancing skips-just to boost her mood. It was a dreadry day and rains had started to fall on her head, so she stopped to shake the drops from her pelt a few times on her travel. What she really wanted-was a cave. She could ignore her hunger-so she could be dry and warm... so her mind went to shelter now. A breeze threatened to take her white feather friend away, and she grabbed at it quickly with her teeth-so she wouldn't lose it again.

Nothing was worse than that. DD8

Amiel was feeling sleepy, he'd just finished his fill from a fallen gazelle that some larger predator had left behind. The vultures had gotten persistent though and he left it alone and wandered off. His maw was bloody as well as his front paws and he would have to clean them soon less they stain his fur an ugly brownish color. He was not vain, he just didn't want to look gross.

Once he was a safe distance away he sat, slowly licking at his paws. "Hhhhmm~" he glanced up and his nostrils twitched. Ah, someone was coming. He looked around slowly but there was no shelter nearby. He figured it would be alright, it smelt of his own species.

He gave his chops a few licks but he felt his maw still might be a bit unclean... ah, there was no helping it. He wasn't at a watering hole and couldn't check. So he stood and started forward, intending to meet the other half way.

Baka growled as a couple more drops of rain threatened to make her white friend soggy and damp. She started to pick up her pace-frantic to find somewhere to keep dry... she hated wet... so bad. She shook the defiant drops off again and whined her tiny puppy whine-she was still young. She headed over a small hill when the smell of someone-close like me but not like me- and lifted her head into a cocked gesture. A maned wolf, like like her-only not like her-a boy wolf. She looked side to side, intent on finding shelter and see if the boy knew where some was.

She hated wet soo badly.

She set down her white feather freind and placed a paw on it so it would not get away.
Hello? She said aloud softly, curious to see who she smelt.

Amiel's mismatched gaze landed on the dark coated female and he just smiled brightly at her. She seemed to be a bit younger than he, though not too much. He hadn't been full grown for long, but he was mature and sufficient.

He bowed his head to her in reply, "Hi there." He said, tail swishing. "M'names Amiel, looking for something?" He'd noticed she'd been looking around, maybe she'd lost something.

Baka danced nervously side to side as the rain began to fall down. Oooh, where was Mzaa? She had lost sight of her adoptive father and they were separated and she hated rain. Her foot left the white feather on the ground and it began to float away in a small gust of wind-but she tackled it and fumbled it around in her mouth. She spoke-with a bit of difficulty since there was a feather in her mouth.

M'names Baka'Mbu... I was-jus lookin for some-place to hide... from'da'rain. She said, Hher ears lain back. It was apparent that she was just now an adult in body... but not so in her mind. Plus she was carrying that feather around. She blinked her brown eyes and shoot her head, making a soft 'shussh' noise with the feather.

He stared at her a moment and had to force a smile when he realized she was quite childish. But it seemed as though she needed some help and seeing as she'd done nothing horrible to him he wasn't beyond giving her assitence. "Ah, well I saw a few abandoned dens over that way," He nodded his head toward the east. "That would keep one very dry from the rain." He kept a schooled smile on his face, though he was quite upset he'd bumped into a female who obviously would not provide much conversation.

His tail swished a bit, "I could show you, if you'd like miss." Some females might get the wrong idea about such a vague offer, but he'd never harm a lady. Unless of course she deserved it, like she was attacking her children or something.

Baka smiled at him from behind her white feather. An old den would do until the rain stopped and she could find Mzaa again. She nodded slowly, her brown eyes childish and soft... she was horrified by water half the time and when the storms came she shook an awful lot. Do you fink you could show me?" She asked, her soft voice quaking a little bit... she was worried... She couldn't find Mzaa...

She padded closer to him and stood beside him, her head lowered and her ears flat-looking terribly depressed and worried-her thoughts racing. She had found a Father and lost him the next day. She'd have to look when the rain stopped. She sniffed her nose, shaking the water from her head and lowering it more-her brown eyes downcast and sad.
First I get lost fwom My New Dad and 'den the rain comes. " She said sadly.

He shuddered slightly, wondering what a world it was to have more and more being born with minds that forever stayed the same; child-like and dull. "I just said I could show you." He repeated, his tone neutral but firm as he nodded and turned, wanting to get done with this as soon as possible.

His left ear twitched as she said something about a new dad and being lost from him. "I am quite certain you're a bit old to have such a new father." He stated wisely, nodding his head when he felt he'd come to the right conclusion. "In fact I believe I was pushed from my own nest when I was even a bit younger than you." Well, perhaps he shouldn't try to speak of such things with such a dull female but he couldn't help himself. Didn't she know the right way of the world?

Baka padded along behind him-feeling like she was all sorts of useless now. She sniffled, tucking her white feather behind her ear so she could talk. "Well... I don't like being alone actually... I get really lonely... and all my sisters are gone... I only call him my father cause-he isn't my mate and he is my friend-but... he is more. I guess he replaces the father I don't have.

Truthfully I am not very old at all... I only left my family not too long ago... and so far I am not doing very good... " She said, but then she lifted her head and smiled. "But I am tired of being sad... I am getting out of the rain and you are helping me. Thank you very much. " She said softly, her brown eyes warm and glinting-though the water fell upon her head

He shook his head a little at her poor, whiney behavior. One was never alone as long as they knew themselves, and it was apparent she had a lot of searching to do. He said nothing of her words, he just kept going at a steady pace and kept glancing around to make sure that no danger was approaching.

"Mm, it is my duty if not my job to help those in need so there is really nothing to think. All of our kind should be helpful and kind, less we be demons." Oh preaching about these sorts of things was one of his favorite things to do and he was glad to have a new set of ears to talk about it to.

Baka gazed over at him and blinked. The one thing she was really good at was listening and she acutally liked to do it. She padded up beside him closer, her ears twisted foreward even though they were coated in drops of water. "Really? Thats a wonderful thing to do... I am sure everyone you help apprecaites it. " she said with a smile, her brown eyes squeezing shut. Her white tipped tail wagged behind her slowly.

She turned her head away from him, a smile on her face but with a furrowed brow. She then looked back. "I certainly appreciate it Amiel." She said softly, her voice taking on a more mature sound. Truth was, when she was afraid and lonely-her childlike attributes came out to play...

But when she was feeling safer... she grew more adult. "I really do...

As she moved up to walk at a more even pace with him he pushed forward, again moving slightly ahead of her. She didn't get it and he sighed. It wasn't about being appreciated, it was simply about doing what was right regardless if you were thanked or not.

His ears flicked and his gaze flicked sharply back toward her, his head turning a little and a frown apparent on his face. The change of her tone made him feel uneasy, he did not like those who seemed to change often. There was something sneaky about it that just seemed wrong. He looked ahead of him again, relief flooding into him as he could spy the den site ahead a few minutes.

"Yes." He said, almost codly. "But again, it wouldn't matter if you appreciated it or not. I am simply doing this because it would not be right to leave one in such a ...delicate mind-state to fend for themselves in the soaking wet." His tail flicked a little at this and his nostrils flared, as they got closer to the dens he moved around, sniffing at the ground before it got to wet so he could make sure preditors were not about.

Baka fell back when he moved ahead of him. She looked at him curiously, her tail wagging a bit slower. She didn't get it-she tried to be nice and friendly and nice to him-for helping her but her advances seemed futile. She walked behing him now-looking around to see if perhaps she could spot Mzaa. She sniffed the air-smelled nothing of him and fell back to walking.

She decided to not talk anymore. She seemed to be irritating him a bit. She was used to people not liking her much-it was normal... she gazed around for a moment-before he spoke again. She turned to look at him. Delicate Mind-state? She felt her eyes fall down too the ground...

She didn't know if he even liked her company... so she said nothing.

As they got to the seemingly abandoned den her slowed and turned to her. "Wait a moment, please." He slipped in and sniffed around to make sure it was safe, and it was.

He moved back out and stared up at the sky, he would have to find his own place. "I think the rains will come for the night, but this place should be safe. No beast has come here for a long time." He waited expectantly, he'd done his job, he'd done something good.

Baka gazed at his hind legs as he walked ahead of her. She didn't know why she felt this way-but she felt rather childish and lowly... and over all not very highly of herself. She shut her golden eyes and sighed softly, her black tail swinging low as she walked. For one she was useless as far as she was concerned.... and could barely survive on her own-let alone in a land she barely knew.

As she was about to totally fall into a horrible mood-he spoke and she looked up, her ears slightly lowered. They swiveled foreward when he spoke though, and she cocked her head-seating herself outside the entrance. She sniffed around a bit herself-to test if her sense of smell was as keen as his.

"It has been raining alot lately. I wouldn't be surprised in all..." She said, her head lifting to gaze upwards at the sky. "I really do appreciate your help... Even if I was a burden on your shoulders for a bit..."
