There was a fight in my guard during marching season too. The captains sat us all down in a cramped little instrument room and gave us a very long talk about how the guard was a sisterhood and even if we didnt like each other we still ahd to respect each other like sisters and avoid conflict otherwise the trouble makers were going to be kicked out of CG. It worked very well because were drama free, at least when we have to see each other, outside of class is really there own buisness. And if all else fails talk about putting on more shows during the end of the year for the near by middle schools to recruit. That way there will at least be a fresh group of girls nex year.

All guards fight. A guard is a family and family's fight. Some people have to get over themselves and get it through their head that the guard is a family and a team. It is not one person with background performers.
My guard got in a fight because one guy thought he was the Queen of Sheba and he nearly tore our guard in half. But we talked and got things out and agreed to work on things. Sometime people need to let things out. See how things play out ant try to keep the member together.

We didnt' really argue with each other face to face this year [except when someone was on their period XD they argued with everyone. that's how they learned i can be loud too] If we had to complain about someone we waited until they weren't around and no one told the person who was being talked about [as far as I know] cuz that would have started problems...oh but we always had problems with one of our guy's cuz, he was good and all, but he had to be stubborn and not follow directions and whatnot...

this year is my last and probably WORST! at the beginning EVERYONE was on opposing sides! saying that we lacked team work was a MAJOR understatement! the head director actually had to come in and give us a lecture on team work! and we spent almost an entire practice hhaving a weeping fest sharing our feelings about eachother!

Yea i hate it when that happens... all 4 of our flags were new this year and we had a new director so there was noone to tell us how to do everything.. Some people thought they were better then everyone and she acted like she knew everything.. so she kept changing everything and when i tryed to suggest something, she couldnt do it.... She would change parts of the flagwork around right before the show and expect everyone to memorize it... I told the other members im not going to join next year if she acts the same.. its all pointless drama...

Colorguard has always been the most dramatic section. One girl decided not to do winterguard because one of our girls was driving her nuts. We have a lot of drama, but our captains make it clear that we do NOT bring that to practice, much less to a competition. We walk into practice, put on a smile, and pretend that certain people are not highly annoying.

niteflare416 i have a question. would it be smart to go out with a girl on the same guard team as me? or would that create problems. Might create problems if you break up. And if you are a distraction to each other during practice.
