It was late afternoon, and the festivities were just beginning. Several of the people known as "Clockworks" or "Sorrows" had gotten together, creating a party for their friend, Ennui. Ennui was a very promising man. He could be considered, in a sense, a priest. His value of the higher power seemed to be grand, and because of this, he had gained a few allies. One could be known as Relíque, who seemed to be as angelic as he was. But...
...Not all are whom they seem to be. In truth, Ennui held a secret that even he did not know. A secret that came to call himself Seidus, or Ennui's split personality. Seidus was who appeared when Ennui retreated, and Seidus knew no mercy. He killed, and he fed. Again, there was something more...
"I wish you would stop dragging your food in here, Purgatory. Some of us are not interested in eating human flesh." Sure enough, Seidus has sneaked some food to his precious kitten the night before. Iyemina, or better known as the following: Purgatory's "babysitter", Seidus's "slave", and/or another Sorrow had no idea that he had visited. She was a bit hurt by him not even saying a hello to her. Just nights before, she and him shared a very intimate moment.
He's not your husband a voice rang inside her head. It was right, she concluded, and shrugged. Purgatory continued to gnaw on the raw flesh, from that of a human. Rolling her eyes, she huffed out of the room. It was time to get ready for his party, anyway.
Remember to be nice to Ennui, but you belong with to Seidus...

Ennui had been tossed, pushed, squealed at and thrown out of his very church for the umpteenth time that afternoon. A promising young woman, whom he'd later remembered as Iyemina from a previous meeting, had come to visit. She had talked to the children for all of five minutes before they rushed out of the room with screams and cheer. Apparently Ennui was forced out of his home, moments later Iyemina handed him a card with information on it.
Mostly where he was to meet her and at what time. So here he was wandering the streets of London with no place to go. Even the Father had banished him from the Cathedral until he had "found what he was looking for". Anyone who knew Ennui would have already guessed that he lacked the sense of direction needed to find such a place. So he spent the better half of the afternoon wandering around...

Aria sighed as she walked out of her small shop, flipping the sign to 'closed'. Today had been stressful enough with the many demanding customers, and she felt she deserved a break. Music was her passion..But..Passions could be turned to hatred by repetition, right? So breaks were needed. Aria happened to notice the young man who usually watched the orphans. "Good Day, sir." She greeted, unaware that he was also a sorrow. ((Ah, little Aria.. ^^ My Delicate Sonata of affection...))

The invitation -- however it come about -- was something that had been ignored for some time by the pale Sorrow... yet due to its gnawing at the back of her mind, Relique had finally given in, and so now wandered the almost congested streets. She knew where the event was being held, but she was by no means eager to get there. Gripping the handle of her violin case tighter, she looked down at the small wrapped parcel in her other hand and glared. Pessimism and even some scorn sculpted her expression from beneath her reconstructed porcelain mask as memories of the time Iyemina mentioned to her that she was now ... friendly with Seidus.
That burned her.
Releasing a large sigh, the Sorrow looked up from her hand and noted that she was in a small square. And that, low-and-behold, she had not one, but two, of her kindred around her.
"Ennui?" she asked tentatively, her voice silver and soft as she approached the male Sorrow from behind. She could sense the unknown Sorrow, and caught glimpses of her from around Ennui's shoulder, but Relique didn't take it upon herself to make introductions or excuse herself for interrupting something that could have been. She frankly didn't care.

Iyemina had ties her restless hair in a ponytail as she set the table for several guests. She made sure each had a comfortable chair, and not one that was old and rotten. A smile appeared on her face, a soft laugh filling the air around her.
Today, instead of wearing simply her usual revealing 'mini-dress,' she wore a long, white and blue robe. It covered her feet, and dragged along the floor, just as her hair almost did. "Time for a haircut," she mumbled to herself softly.
A chime. Turning, Iyemina spotted Relíque talking with Ennui. Thinking nothing of it, she continued to set everything up. She was even thinking about giving Purgatory some cake.

Ennui spotted the unknown Sorrow first his eyes flickering slightly under the cloth. It was at the chime of a familar uncertain voice that he turned to her now.
"Relique?" He questioned her only because he wasn't certain of why he'd been so unceremonously shoved from his sanctum; only to be brought here. What was the meaning of all this. Though his manners were not without merit he bowed respectfully to the unknown Sorrow, "M'lady."
Though before he could say anything further a rather unfounded event occured. A shadow dancing overhead seemed to grow larger by the second as Ennui looked to the sky. No doubt surprised by the strange ball of calico fur free falling right into his face. Ennui would have made a strange face but with the cat clinging to him thusly, the only thing he could muster was a miffed grunt. "What is this blasted thing?"
Where Seidus seemed to enjoy the company of cats, Ennui did not like them... at all. Pulling said cat from his face he held him at bay eyeing it. The cat mewled quite certain this was his master but with a marginal sniff could find something slightly off about him. It shrieked then wriggling free before bounding into what looked like an abandoned home to its second master.
Ennui sighed looking at the parcel of paper given to him. He then looked at the house the cat had run into. A familiar scent had drifted from that direction causing him to stir slightly. Ennui stopped dead in his tracks, "I don't understand why I am here. Did you get a strange not too?" He questioned the both of them, despite his feet taking action and moving him forward, ever so slowly.
[Just going to assume she's upstairs looking down at them, so Enn can have some kitten-ish fun.]

Aria locked the door to her small shop, suddenly getting that strange feeling. Kindred. Ah yes. More than one. Two, perhaps? Or was she loosing count? She quietly approached Ennui and Relique, giving a shy smile at the two. At the mention of the note, she gently patted her shopkeeper's apron, remembering the small gift she had managed to make. That was right...It was that one's birthday, wasn't it?
Aria failed to restrain a laugh at the poor cat that landed on Ennui's face. She giggled, quiet tones of her internal music floating into the air. The smile on her face was genuine at that moment, no longer shy and self contained. She gave a slight wave to Relique, quite sure her feelings were correct. Sorrows. So she wasn't the only one as she had originally thought. Ah well. Kindred were always welcome in her book.
