so we need input and volunteers to get more people to this guild. please discuss.

what we have:
-some of us have signatures that are links to the guild.
-we have a thread in the registered guilds subforum, but it isn't very active

what i think we need:
-for everyone to have links to the guild in their signatures
-but some of us don't have pretty pictures to go with the links, so does anyone know someone willing to make pretty elemental signatures? if not, would it be in the guild budget to hire someon?
-i need to revamp the guild thread because its kinda outdated
-we need creative ways to get peoples attention, thus brining me to my most vital question: what can you contribute?

for me, i have an idea to create an art thread where people exchange art, i might even do some free samples, but it would all be element based, and i would have links to the guild posted in the thread.
but what about you? can you make an elemental rp thread in the subforums and put links in there? can you make a themed elemental avatar contest in the contest subforum and post links there? you get the concept...

here are the ideas i had:
-art giveaway
-avatar contest
-elemental rp
-mini shops selling something to do with the elements
anything else?

accepted projects and their progress:
-art giveaway/trade: kaen to make the thread, ideas are in motion. =]
-elemental rp in Barton RP Forum: proposed and (?) to be set in motion by darkshock
-avatar arena: possible candidates are Vi and friends.
-"towns" advertisement: Rouge, Vi, Gler, Iko, Cheese, and regularly advertise in towns.

yay! well we already have the thread, in fact i created it a while back, but its kinda fizzled out. i get the impression not that many people go to that subforum

and the problem with the arena is that for one, we would have to have people willing to pay for an avi, and pay to enter at least one person per week. plus, im not sure if people who are rating avi's are going to be into rping or not.
(are we allowed to post links in the description? >.>)

I have a possible solution to our problem.

We could create a guild-sponsored roleplay in Barton Town. It won't be advertising since its a roleplay, but it should attract those who might be curious. Not only that, but it would give people a taste of what to expect from us when they join. We are primarily focused on RPing, aren't we?

Hmm...Avatar's seem to be the next biggest thing in this guild, oddly enough. Combo it with Secret Snowflake and some contests and we'll start attracting a different kind of crowd. But a crowd nonetheless... Avatar arena is a good place to start, but I rarely meet anyone there.

The thread in BT could be anything from heavy storytelling to a tournament of champions. Or both [as in two RPs! XD].

I'd be willing to go in the Avatar Arena, or sponsor someone with a better avatar to go in, or both!
And I love Darkshock's idea! I'd be willing to participate in that n.n;;
Maybe put a link somewhere in the first few posts, saying something like "This is the brainchild RP of this guild: -link-" Or somethin'.

I agree n.n I don't feel like playing Master all the time.

But somebody other than me should think of a plot. I'm absolutely hopeless at it.

Although I'm not sure about the list of active RPs because that changes a lot... And we'd have to write out little blurbs about each one because a title isn't much to go on when choosing a roleplay, really. And somebody would have to maintain it.

and i agree that the avatar arena wouldn't attract that many people, but if you think that it would benefit, then by all means enter. =] but i do think that avatars are a big part, so maybe someone wants to start an avatar contest for us? (again, its in the first post, but we need one person per thread to keep all these advertisements alive)

ooh, i like. updated current rp idea duly noted. so can i assume that you are regularly advertising and inviting people in towns?
