Biskiti was a quiet hare. He was scared of quite a lot of things, a lot of irrational things, like rain and large plants. He was a generally loving male, sometimes coming across as distant and sometimes afraid to make choices in life. He'd lived alone since he'd hit adulthood, leaving his family behind and heading off to a new world.
He'd made his own little burrow and had been doing well lately, though he had to admit he was a little bit lonely. He hadn't met many others, especially not anymore hares. Well, he'd seen some from a distance, but was too scared to actually go up and start conversation. What if he got into a fight or something? Or if it started raining. Or. If they were.. orange. He shuddered.

Kutulia was off again to explore the world around her for the second time since she had reached adulthood. The first exploration was cut rather short when she bumped into two strange animals that called themselves klipspringers. She had been fascinated to learn about what they really were, but found that it had become too dark to continue exploring once she had finished talking.
Having left the den much earlier this bright day, the young hare was determined that she would have plenty of time to learn as much as she could about everything that was so new! As she hopped about curiously, she noticed a small rabbit den nearby. It was not like her to simply intrude on another's home, but curiosity got the better of Tuli that day.
Clearing her throat, she approached and spoke sweetly, "Good Morning!"

He was just near the entrance to his burrow, looking up into the sky and across the lands and thinking deeply. What we he do today? Who would he meet? Biskiti heard a voice. The young male suddenly looked startled. Another hare! Just as he was thinking.. He drew back a little, until he raised his head and decided, no, he would be social! At least she wasn't orange.
Hopping out of his burrow he approached her with a nervous smile, meeting Kutalias sweet tone with his own deeper male one. "Hello.." He said, quietly.

Kutulia, unknowing of how nervous this hare was, continued to smile and was pleased when he returned the greeting. This male was her first hare she had met on her own and from what her father had said, they were often times difficult to come by. Cheshi had been the only hare that Sungura met during his adolescence and even when he grew to an adult, he only met a pair of others.
Exciting about this meeting, Kutulia tried to fuel the conversation. "I am Kutulia, though you may call me Tuli if you'd like." The hare's voice was incredibly sweet and she was a very pleasant hare. Lucky for the nervous male, there was absolutely nothing to fear from her. In fact, Kutulia was more often a bit shy and this was how she acted when she was feeling brave!

Hm, she seemed pretty harmless, even pretty. The white hair seemed enthusiastic, which was a first for Biskiti, as he had hardly met any others, and even when he did, they did not seem this pleased about meeting. Nervous, but calmed a little, her nodded his head politely and gave her his name. "Biskiti, is my name. Yours is pretty..." He was a little quiet and sometimes seemed a bit blunt, but his heart was definately in the right place. His brown eyes widened and he smiled again. "So, how are you?"

Pretty? Kutulia thought about the comment. That was certainly a first! Blushing lightly, the pale hare smiled and then spoke a bit quieter than earlier, "Thank you. Your name is nice as well." She had never been complimented by anyone other than her parents and it was nice to know that someone enjoyed her name as much as she did. When the male continued to speak, Kutulia smiled more. While he seemed rather shy at first, already he seemed to be opening up, "I am doing alright! Father is finally allowing me to travel on my own." Kutulia did not think twice about mentioning her father. He was a great part of her life and anyone who knew her also knew that.

"Thankyou.." He said quietly. He too, was not used to compliments, and so smiled sweetly at the female. His suspicions were confirmed, she was sweet, possessing a beautiful innocence which he'd never seen elsewhere. "Good." He seemed a little blunt, then stopped to think, his eyes dropping to the ground as he replayed his lonliness and gave her a wide smile, with a hint of sadness. "I don't have a family." He admitted.

Kutulia did not notice how blunt the male was, or rather, she thought nothing of it. She was happy to have met another hare, even if they shared the same nervous behavior of her mother. From what she had learned growing up, many hares displayed this behavior because they were so low on the food chain. She did not understand this as a kitten, but as she grew up and began to travel, her father had given her a variety of tips and tricks to stay safe. In the pridelands she was a member and did not have to worry, but anywhere beyond the borders, she was a potential meal.
When Biskiti mentioned that he did not have a family, Kutulia frowned. Quickly, she tried to shove the frown away and replace it with a smile. No need to make the male hare seem sadder! "Well, family is not only what you're born with. Part of my family is a friendly group of lions! They are very close friends and I couldn't think of living without them. Perhaps you just have yet to find your family?"

He was attracted by her prettyness, it was something indescribable that seeped beneath the surface of her white fur, curled beneath the marking on her ear and shone within the females eyes. Given that he was male, and she female, he knew his manly instincts would obviously be to blame, and due to his nature, the hare kept quiet. He hadn't seen many females around, nor had he mated, but he could not go jumping on any female hare he found, no, he was too much of a gentleman for that!
He replied to her smile with one of his own and agreed with her statement quietly. "Yes, I suppose, maybe I just haven't found mine yet?" He tailed off and looked at the ground, suddenly a little more nervous. "Lions?" He seemed scared to enquire into her life.

While the male found Kutulia greatly attractive, the female remained naive to his thoughts. She was still young and while she hoped for romance and a family like her parents had, she didn't actively think on it. She was eager to explore and learn about the lands as well as meet new hares! Filled with excitement in meeting what she hoped to be a new friend, mating was the farthest from her mind.
Kutulia smiled broader when she noticed that she had caused the male hare to also smile. It was satisfying to know that she helped his loosen up a bit, especially when usually she was in the opposite situation. When he asked about the lions, she recognised the nervous expression. It seemed most everyone she told thought it was strange. To Tuli, however, it was just her way of life, "Yes! I was born in the pridelands, which is actually a pride of lions, but when you live there, you're considered members as well! All of the lions know us there and treat us like friends."

Beginning to feel like a pervert, he forced his mind to view her in a more platonic light. He guessed he was older than the female, she definately had young features, and seemed innocently youthful. It would be a terrible crime to try and seduce such a lady, and besides, he was too scared to ever make a move!
Nodding at her voice, he was glad of her company. "The Pridelands eh?" He hadn't heard of them before, but he had heard of Prides of lions. His family hadn't been paticularly knowlegable, but they'd been alright. "That sounds nice." It did sound nice, and secure to be regarded as one of the lions, it certainly seemed alot safer than being a threat out in these lands, he shuddered and his eyes shifted to glance around quickly.

When Kutulia noticed the hare glance about nervously, she cocked her head curiously. He certainly reminded her a lot of her mother. From the stories she heard from her father, however, joining the pridelands had improved her mother's fear. "Maybe you could look into becoming a member as well? You could always come with me so they know not to eat you." Kutulia spoke so simply about the matter. Having grown up there, it didn't seem like an issue to her.
"I'd be more than happy to bring you there now if you'd like?" Tuli's voice was rather sweet. She had also heard news of a warren developing outside the borders. She did not know the details, but perhaps it might be something to throw out there as well, "Oh! I also know there is a group of hares digging long burrows near the pridelands as well. I think they are forming a small pride of their own."

"Hmm?" His eyes widened, and he appeared childlike before looking nervously around the ground again. "I-I don't know." It seemed a scary prospect after some thought, and he'd just set up his home here and everything. "Eat me?" He repeated. Maybe he should go with her, for safety reasons. He looked back to his den and then looked to Kutulia. "Okay, I don't suppose it could hurt." He hoped. "Which was is it?"

When the nervous hare appeared to become even more frightened, Kutulia silently scolded herself. How silly was she to remark on the lions eating the hare! While she felt guilty for making him so scared, she was glad that she inspired him to come. She watched ad he glanced around this place he had made his home and Kutulia smiled wider. "I can help you find the perfect burrow there! I won't leave you to fend yourself! Plus, there is a group of hares that you would be entirely safe with!"
Hopping forward a bit to imply that Biskiti follow, Kutulia continued to smile. "This is the direction, now we have only to follow my lead! It shouldn't take too long!"
