Fiona sighed as the wind swept through her mane. The air carried a slight salty taste and sand managed to find its way into her eyes. Having had to turn her back to the wind so as to avoid the sand that the wind carried she had, in turn, also had to turn her back to sunrise. Many a morning she had preferred to make her way down her to watch the sunrise, and every evening made it back to see the sunset. There were, however, some days that she missed either one or both. Today was not to be such a day. In any case even if she wasn't here to see the sun rise on the beach then at least she could still see it elsewhere.
Gulls screeched about above her head, barely audible above the constant roar of the ocean. She hadn't realized how long she had merely been standing there thinking until the rising water greeted her hooves. She back up slightly so as to avoid the cool sensation of the water. Today was not one for swimming, no today was a day for business and the first of which being food. She had awoken to an empty stomache and know it wanted to be satisfied.

Skylar glided easily over the land, keeping himself rather low and steady so as to land any time, should somthing interesting catch his eye. Early morning, or in fact any time before noon, was wonderful for him. The light, from barly visable to bright, shone and made his coat sparkle and, tho he was not a vain stallion, it was a great conversation starter. After breaking out of the traveling herd he had once called home he had finally settled on exploring. So far he had been to D'ob. Twas a beautiful place, a gather area of many a nequus, from the Reya to Ichsa, Jala to Aeri. Plenty of Bae as well. He had even met some rather pleasant crossbreeds and heard of some interesting folks of his own breed up on some mountains. He may have to visit there someday...He shook his head as somthing caught his eye. Flowing wings, a horn that looked most dangerous, long legs....An Ichsa. By the way they walked and moved he'd assume a mare, tho he couldn't be positive. Would she be friendly, would she be a sour thing, vain, evil, malicious? He contemplated many a persona for this mare before he landed. He had to admit if she was vain, she had a reason. Interesting, unique. He nodded. As feet touched ground he cleared his throat softly. "Hello there!" he called, trying to sound friendly.

Fiona's head shot up at the sound of another nearby. She studied the Jala stallion a few moments. He had quite the unique coloring and it was not bad indeed. Her swirls were nothing compared to the way his coat shone in the morning light. It almost seemed to her that his coat was flowing and waving about him, though it wasn't possible and she merely dismissed the thought. He looked to be kind enough, but looks could be decieving. She knew that well enough.
The green and silver Ichsa wondered a few minutes if he would stay. When those who did talk to her came around they often left quite quickly. Unfortunately there were those who just couldn't handle the truth or didn't want to hear it. For those she was not one to talk to and they were better to stay away. So what of this one? Would he stick around? Or would he leave just as quickly as the others?
Once more she focussed on him and gave a slight nod in response to his calling. "Who might you be?" She asked. Yes, she was a bit forward but it didn't get anyone anywhere faster by not being so.

Skylar shruged and moved a bit closer. "I'm Skylar, pleasure. And you are?" He didn't mind the abruptness. In fact it did fit, after all he did just show up. "I'm sorry if i startled you, just flying by and i noticed you. Just thought you looked interesting to be honest. You got a nice coat, if i'm not to forward to say so."
And there he went, blabbing. Ok now he didn't want to be annoying. He shook his head. "Sorry." He laughed a bit sheepishly.

The silver swirled mare looked at him. He wasn't as forward as she but it was still there slightly. Rather then upsetting her, however, she found it somewhat attractive. Perhaps she could be herself around this one. In any case at least there was the possiblity of a friend. She blushed a little at the complement he had paid her.
"No you are not too forward in saying so. I rather like the compliment. Your coat isn't too bad either." She had meant it to be a compliment but was rather afraid it hadn't come out wrong. Oh well no sense boosting any ego he possessed. "I am called Fiona. It is a pleasure to meet you Skylar. You're name quite suits you."
Indeed his name did fit him. His coat looked like the very sky itself on a clear day with fluffy clouds scattered about as added decoration. His pattern was one she hadn't ever encountered but perhaps added more to her interest in him. As she looked him over she began to wonder what he had been doing here. Perhaps he had gone for a mere flight or he might be on some sort of trip for business.
"What seems to have brought you here?" She asked, her voice held a hint of curiousity. "Have you traveled long? Or were you on a small joy flight?"

"Oh I usually travel a good while before i stop, but nothing but a stray wind and a pair of strong wings brought me here. Your the reason i stopped, honestly. Curiousity i guess." He smiled. "As horrible as that is, eh? And thanks, i rather like my name. Your name is quiet interesting itself. Fiona...its nice. suits you somehow. You look like your name, if that makes any sense at all." He shruged.
So she was...odd. She was talking to him and that was always a plus. Didn't seem the overly friendly type but she haddn't walked away. A bit to the point, but then again that wasn't always bad...

"Oh yes I do believe I know what you mean. Your name matches you too. Skylar is perfect for one who's coat matches the sky." Well it wasn't the most romantic of sentences nor the best framed but she rather hoped that she had gotten her point across to him.
She hadn't ever really had anyone comment on her name before, though then again she didn't make friends all that easily either. That was probably due to the fact that she tended to be a little too blunt. She didn't go out of her way to make people feel bad, but she would not lie to spare anyones feelings. No, she told the truth and to do anything else was not her. She supposed most didn't honestly want to hear the truth and thus stayed away from her.
"How far have you traveled then? Have you brought any news?" She was quite curious with what was going on around her. Unfortunately without many friends she was unable to learn much. She can't even remember the last time she had heard anything and could only remember something about some new herd that had formed.

"In all honesty i have no idea how far i've come. I was heading...back to Do'b i think. Just came from there a few days ago, not been in the area long. Not sure how far this place is from Do'b.....Accually i'm not sure where this place is." He laughed. "Just traveling, as said." He tilted his head. "news?" He thought to himself. "No....Not really. I don't really talk to anyone alot, and i've been by myself mostly, only talking to others for a while before moving on again. And i've kept away from big groups..."
Curious then as well, huh? She was definatly interesting, in a way. Not really all that exciting. But mabye then she wouldn't expect alot of excitment from him.

The green swirled mare looked curiously at the stallion. He didn't know of Quirne? Well if he hadn't been this way before it wasn't really surprising. She hadn't known at first either and so she couldn't expect everyone to know this place.
"You don't know of Quirne?" She hoped she hadn't sounded rude to him. It was really just her nature. "It is the ocean, or rather the land next to the ocean. I stay here because I love the sound of the waves. The sand doesn't bother me too much either. My hooves are fairly strong and don't seem to be affected by it." She had heard some pretty bad stories of hooves that had been messed up by the sand but had not suffered that same fate thankfully.
"Do you plan on staying long?" She was rather curious to see what sort of company he might provide. Not many who came through her stayed for very long and she did long for a little bit of company.

"Ah, well that makes sense. I shall remember that. Quirne? really....interesting names these area's are called. Interesting indeed. And no, i do not know of really anyplace. Even if i have traveled by it...." he shruged. "I grew up alone and did not have parents to teach me or show me."
The stallion looked around. "I might. I've heard that the water of the ocean and the sand can help sore legs and my legs have been bothering me a bit lately. I think i will stay." He nodded. "Least till its time to move again." He looked back at the mare. "Do you travel at all or simply have stayed here your whole life?"

The green Ichsa mare shook her head. "No I have not stayed her my whole life. I am something of a traveler. I just happen to be in the area right now. Though I must say I do love it here. The light breeze and the somewhat salty taste on the wind. Yes it can be very peaceful. However it does get rather cold in the winter." Pausing for a moment she gracefully bent her neck and grabbed at a few blades of grass.
She then returned her attention back to the stallion before him. "Please exscuse me, I have yet to eat this morning." She said after swallowing her mouthful. "So you are a traveler yourself?" Fiona was quite interested in him. He was new to her and the company was definately a plus and better then having no one as she had the past few days. "I was thinking about moving along soon. Maybe I could go with you?" She loved the ocean but it was time to move on to another place. She could really only stand being in one area at a time.

"Most places i hear are rather umplesent in winter. Do'b was always rather nice. But as i have not been much were else i cannot say how other palces fair."
"Completly excused, i havn't really eaten much yet either so i understand entirly." he laughed lightly, smiling. "dont' want to starve, now. THat isn't plesent from what i hear." He nodded. "Always moving if i can. Even if it is only from one clump of trees to the next, its better then one spot."
He tilted his head to the side. "Go with me?" He blinked. Never thought of having a compainon for a trip. "I suppose that would be alright. I mean i don't think i'm the most interesting of fellows and would hate for you to bore of me. But if you wanted to then i'd be fine with it."

Fiona tilted her head a little. A bore? Even boring company was better than no company. And in any case at least he didn't shy away from her like others seemed to do. No, she doubted that he would be a bore. In all reality she was more afraid of herself being unentertaining company. She hadn't ever really been around others much and not for longer periods of time. Maybe this would help her a little. She definately needed to be a little more socialized. As it was she still wasn't really sure what to say to the stallion standing before her.
"Are you sure you wouldn't mind?" She asked, she really didn't want to be a burden to him. "I can always keep traveling on my own. Really though, I don't think you would be or are a bore. I honestly feel like I am the one who would be the least entertaining. I'm not really used to being around others all that much. They tend to shy away. But if you don't mind my going with you it would make me much happier."

"That just makes you all the more interesting. A pretty mare like yourself, all alone. Lots of background there. Lots of stories, good and bad. I mean you weren't born yesterday, you have history and that always makes for good stories. And i got stories, tho few that accually have any point, but i have stories. Least enough to occupie a flight or two." He smiled and nodded. "I'd be delighted if you would come with me on an adventuer or two. Till you deside you tire of my company." he said with a slight teasing tone, smiling.

She smiled a little at his tone. It seemed perhaps that she had found a friend in this stallion. Though she wasn't sure she could completely trust him just yet. They had really only just met. "In all honesty you will probably tire of me first. I'm a bit blunt as I may have managed before and it tends to irritate others." She rather hoped he wouldn't tire of her too quickly. It had been so long since she had had any company, she also hoped she could behave herself. It had been even longer since she had had any male company.
She watched a small crab walk around near her hooves, as if upset by the fact he actually had to go around them. Smiling a little at the creature she turned back to Skylar. "I hope you don't mind my minimal conversation, it really has been a long time since I've conversed with anyone."
