Kalei splashed around in the waters of Snowdrop Mountain. The waters were icy, but she rather liked the frigidness. She floated on her back, drifting along the surface before flipping over and diving deeper into the water.
Were there others like her? she wondered as she swam. She hadn't met anyone else that looked like she did, though she had observed land-Minyas roaming around whenever she surfaced. But there were none that she saw who lived in the water like she did.

Hiroku today swam under the snowdrop mountains. The waters there was ice cold, he preferred warmer water but it didn't bother him much. Tired after awhile he stopped and let his head surface. He saw with his sharp eyes that something tan colored splashed. His sharp eyes told him it wasen't something he had encountered before.
Excited he followed suit. Splashing once again into the waters, something at the back of his mind nagged at him but he ignored it. Seeing something new was much better than the irritating fact that he didn't notice. The tan colored tail was almost exactly like his.
The water was cold but the good part was that it was clear. Extremely clean and sparkly. He loved it. Seeing the tail up front he followed it with much interest. He swam and swam with all his might and then, he was right beside it...

She swam about, observing the wonders of the world beneath the water. She giggled to herself as a school of fish swirled around her before moving along to other parts of the lake. About to continue on herself, she paused when she noticed something else had swam up to her.
Kalei released a startled gasped and darted around the nearest boulder at the bottom of the lake. Peeking around the edge of the boulder, she stared at the creature that had startled her.

Hiroku saw the face of the creature for an exact 2 seconds and froze on the spot. It was a female version of his kind! Not that he had ever seen anyone else like him.. Thus with this thought, hiroku's heart burned with excitement.
The girl gasped and darted behind a boulder. She was fast he had to admit, he looked on helplessly as she swam away thinking she would escape and he would never see her forever. But she didn't.
He swam closer to look. The female was peeking out from behind the boulder, she had blue eyes, pretty in their own way. He stared right back at her. Shocked to finally be able to see another of his own kind.
"H..Hi.." Hiroku said softly, "Your a girl aren't you?" He asked flushing abit at the dumb question. " Sorry that i startled you... I didn't mean it... It was just.. you.. You're like me so i was just curious and wanting to confirm..." He looked down at his moving tail flushing slightly.

Kalei's cheeks burned darkly, fighting back the initial reaction to snap at him. Of course she was a girl! But she had never run into another like her. It seemed like he hadn't either. She stayed close to the boulder, watching him with keen eyes.
"I didn't think anyone like me existed," she murmured softly, surprised that there was another. A moment later, her manners kicked in. "I'm Kalei."

Hiroku watched her as her emotions shifted with bright eyes. He had NEVER in his childhood and little of his adulthood met another like him. This discovery had indeed lifted his mood a mighty lot.
The female ; he noted after her first sentence to him ; stayed close to the boulder. She voice was soft, kind of like a breeze that made ripples on the surface of water.
"Me neither... " Hiroku said immediately in response. He was glad that he had finally got the chance to earn a friend. His instinct to introduce himself kicked in shortly after hers. "I'm Hiroku by the way, nice to meet you Kalei" He said to her with a wide happy smile.

"It's nice to meet you as well," she said softly, floating a little away from the boulder. She was still amazed at finding another Minya like her. She had almost given up on the idea of others merii Minya existing.
Circling around Hiroku, Kalei looked him over. After all, who knew if she would ever meet any other merii Minya?

Hiroku watched with much interest as she moved away from the boulder she hid behind from. How the patterns on her coat shimmered a little as she moved, and how flexible and graceful she was! He was Shocked ; and excited, and of course estatic.
He turned in time to face her when she circled him, then a thought blasted him in the face. He had better get to know her better, why? Because who knew when he would meet her again?!
Hiroku moved forward towards kalei slowly, "So.." He said suddenly nervous, " How are .. you?" He flushed a little at the question, how dumb could he get?

"How am I?" Kalei repeated as she tilted her head to one side. It seemed like such an odd question to her. She had never met another Minya, never talked to one at least, so no one had ever asked it of her.
"I am fine," she answered with a grin. "How are you?" Was this how the land Minyas talked? she wondered.

Hiroku watched as she tilted her head to a side much like a kid did when they were confused. Her coat shimmered slightly to due the water and the faint ray of light coming down. Something stirred deep whithin him; it was so slight that he didn't feel it. Obviously.
"Thats good to hear!" Said hiroku happily seeign as she didn't find it stupid in the least bit. " So.. What were you up to before i met you? " he said with much enthusiasm. He swimmed on the spot while talking, he was beggining to get nervous.
