It had been a while since his last trip to the surface, but during that time Leviathan found his thoughts constantly wandering to the odd mare he had befriended on his last visit. Such a strong mare, making the most of life even with her deformities. He might not trust the land dwellers too much, but there was simply something different about Ela.
It was curiosity that drove him back to the place he had met her. Would she be there again? Or was he simply destined to go on thinking about her but never see her again? A cautious head poked above water first before the great finned body of Leviathan broke the surface to look around.

She still wandered around as deep in the cold water as she could on a daily basis. Her thoughts wandered to the sea monster that she had met and told her brother about on occasion as she played wondering if she'd ever see him again. He could have decided never to venture up here again and she might only have stories to tell of him.
That day she had decided to play with a few fish that were used to her presence enough that they didn't mind swimming around her legs. Their scales shimmered under the water and she laughed as she followed them around.

Laughter. The finned head turned to find the source, and Leviathan couldn't help but smile at the sight that greeted him. Ela was enjoying the water just as she had been when they met, and now she was playing with the fish? Most creatures would viciously slaughter them, perhaps even for fun... Ela though, she seemed to respect the water and it's inhabitants. She was a fine land dweller.
He did his best to duck beneath the waves and swim closer, and when he had gone as far as he could concealed he finally popped his head back above the surface. Calmly smiling, he bowed his head in respect to the other. "Hello once again, Elattoma."

She jumped slightly when she heard something near her and her eyes widened as she realized that it was her friend. "Levi! .... you came back." She mostly hadn't expected him to. There must have been far more interesting things out in the ocean than her.

"Of course, I promised I would." He lifted his head so he could look at her as they conversed. The stallion had moved a bit more out of the water, but still stayed mostly in it. The cool water always felt nice against his skin. "Did you not expect me to live up to my promise?"

"You could have .. found something more interesting." She smiled as she stopped playing with the fish for the moment. "I'm not all that much and i'm sure there's far better things out there somewhere that you could be conversing with"

"I live out there, I have all the time in the world to converse with creatures of the sea...can't say the same about conversing with you." He glanced down at the fish a moment, before lifting his head once more to smile back at Ela. "Besides, I find you quite interesting."

"I'm not anything interesting." She smiled at him and shook her head. Despite what her brother's said and what Kalosyni said she didn't think that she was anything of the sort. "I'm just a borring little imperfect mare."

"You are to me, and that's all that matters." Leviathan shook his own head a bit, sending droplets of water flying off his fins. "I've been thinking about you, you know. It's what made me come up here today."

"Why ... would you be thinking about me?" She couldn't see why anyone outside of her family would have thought about her. Unless it was to feel sorry for her at least, that she could see maybe.

"As I said, I found you interesting, and wanted to meet you again. I've been thinking of you since we parted ways." It hadn't been sorry thoughts, just wishes to see the mare once more. "H ow have you been, little one?"

"I've been well." She nodded and thought about what had happened since the last time she'd seen him. "I saw my brother again and his new friend, she's nice .. good for him. I told them about you." They had seemed happy that she'd made a friend even if they were a little skeptical at first.

Levi seemed equally as skeptical. Ela may be okay, but other land dwellers... "Really now? What did your brother have to say about you meeting a sea monster?" He tossed his head, giving a bit of a laugh at that.

"He thought it was nice. He say's that with how much time i spend out here it's only fitting that i make friends with all the strange creatures." She smiled at him for a moment before looking down to the fish that were still swimming about.

"Did he? Well as long as you don't mind being friends with this strange creature then it seems we have quite an arrangement going does it not?" Levi smiled, dropping his head to watch the fish as well.
