((Why is it ALWAYS the electric field? D8 )) Towering above the stadium, the battlefield randomizer began to spin. Faster and faster, until it finally slowed. As it neared a complete stop, the spectators in the stand got more and more excited. What challanges were the Pokémon to face? Then, it finally stopped. The field would be...
THE ELECTRIC FIELD!!
The field is completely flat; no bumps or hills can be located. Standing at the four corners and at the exact center of the field on each side are six electrical towers that stand at six feet in height. These create a static discharge across the field and in the air itself for one reason: a metal piping that outlines the edges of the field floats several feet above the towers themselves, held up by the discharge. During the battle, the piping can release lightning at random points on the field due to the amount of buildup them possess. This ensures that your pokemon stay moving during throughout the entire battle.

Renekai, closely followed by Bell, walked into the stadium. "Aww," she said, giving a fake grimace. "The electric field again?"
Bell gave a disgusted snort and flapped to her place in the field. Great. More static-y feathers.
Renekai laughed at her Pokémon's disapproval. "Maybe I should get an electric Pokémon since I keep getting this battlefield! In the mean time, get ready, Bell! You'll have plenty of time to preen your feathers straight later." Renekai grinned and waved at the other trainer.

Lixue moved gracefully into the stadium and then with a fluid movement twisted Scout down off her back monkey-like.
Scout landed on the ground next to his trainer and then moved forward with a bright glare across the field to check out his opponent. "Sneasel Snes!"
Lixue noticed that this was a field she had yet to battle on, but then again she had taken a short hiatus from battles. This was a welcomed change. Her icy pokemon would get a kick out of this one. Lixue nodded to Renekai and waved back.

"Alright Scout, we have first move.....fury swipes!" Lixue called to her sneasel who moved out farther.
His long ear twitched with the sound of the command and he leaped forward and came at Bell in a flurry of claws in the fury swipes attack.

"Del!" Bell was surprised at the sudden attack and frantically tried to escape. She bolted into the air, but she recieved a few scratches and missing feathers in the process. From her lofty position in the air, Bell turned so she was facing Scout's back. She dove quickly and attacked with an Aerial Ace before Renekai could give the order.
"Disobeying me this early in the battle, eh, Bell?" Renekai asked lazily. It dawned on Renekai that perhaps her training was working on Bell if she had the ability to choose logical attacks on her own. But still... Part of being a trainer was giving the orders.

Lixue laughed softly. "Scout was just like that when I got him. Alright Scout.....Metal Claw."
Scout had dodged, but got winded and a cut. He landed on his feet and suddenly his claws glinted dangerously and he came at Bell again.

"Counter with Mega Kick!" Renekai cut in before Bell could act independantly.
Bell wouldn't disobey a direct order without good reason, so she kicked out at the metal claws of Scout. She winced as she felt the blades cutting her foot, but she forced her leg past the claws and on its path to Scout's head. With any luck, it would knock the Sneasil away.

Lixue flinched at the attack. "Slash!"
Scout was kicked hard across the field and he slowly sat up and shook his head. Then got up and went after Bell once again with a claw out ready to bring it down on her.

That wouldn't work. Not this time. "Dodge with Quick Attack!" Renekai commanded.
Bell used the speed that she reserved for Quick Attacks to dodge the flashing claws, then abruptly turned to use her speed in the proper attack. She aimed at Scout's right hind leg.

"Go for another Metal Claw attack Scout!" Lixue called to her sneasel.
Scout had easily moved out of Bell's reach and then suddenly came up after her with gleaming claws raised in a rather threatening way. "Sneasel snes!"

"Ouch," Renekai grimaced as she watched more feathers fly. "Mega Kick!" she ordered as soon as Bell escaped the sharp claws.
Bell pulled her leg back again. She waited until the Sneasel was facing her, then shot her strong leg forward to make a connection to Scout's jaw. That'd really hurt.

"Go for a Slash attack!" Lixue called once Scout was free of the last attack.
Scout had moved and her attack just glanced off his shoulder. He seemed to ignore the hit and came back at her with his claws.

Bell drew back in time to avoid any serious damage.
"So, he likes using his claws, huh?" Renekai was concentrating on the battle. "Then let's force him into long-range combat! Bell, back off and use Ice Beam!"
Bell jumped backwards several feet, then summoned up a large ball of blue-white energy in her beak. It moved out of her beak slightly, then burst into a long beam of ice, headed towards Scout.

Scout had flattened himself against the ground and crawled rather fast against the ground and then suddenly jumped up in a fury swipes attack.
