About a woman who had an intense fear of feathers, and some birds. I didn't know there was actually such a thing as the fear of feathers, I just decided on something random.
The point was to give examples of how a Psychologist should not handle a client.

When I got home, and there was a woman on Dr. Phil who was afraid of feathers and birds.

Quote:
Ornithophobia: fear of birds. People with ornithophobia experience anxiety about encountering or being attacked by birds. "Ornithophobia" is derived from the Greek word "ornithos" which means bird. I wonder how many people were just fine until they saw the Alfred Hitchcock's movie "The Birds?"

Pteronophobia: fear of being tickled by feathers.

Isn't Greek fun?

And that's like, a MAJOR freaky coincidence.

Yes, it is. :3
I kinda wish I bothered to learn Italian when my mom was with her ex. It would help with learning a few other languages. At least a bit with Spanish.

But another thing. I have some stomach pain, and mentioned to Corey how a friend of mine's grandmother had a cyst on her ovaries... she died from it. I mentioned how I was afraid she'd end up getting it too, and was almost at the point of being paranoid , because of my own stomach pains. A few days after I told this to Corey... she found out my friend has a cyst too.
*sigh*

Cysts are more common than I thought. Poly-cystic ovary syndrome has many symptoms, but can be kinda fixed with birth control, which is why I'm trying to get my mom to take me to Planned Parenthood *hopefully* for some free/cheap bitrh control pillz.

That's most definitely weird about your paper, though. Was it the episode that had the lady who was afraid of cotton balls?

Birth controls regulate the menstrual cycle to bring it in to more order but it doesn't fix the underlying physical, hormonal reasons why your body is acting up. Exercise (I hear weight training is especially good), and a low glycemic index eating strategy help with the underlying problems.

And my GOD but right before Thanksgiving and then Christmas is the absolutely most shittiest suckiest time in the WORLD to discover you have cysts in both ovaries, PCOS, and need a low GI food plan for like, the rest of your life. Especially when holiday stress makes you crave high GI carbs (sugar cookies, white bread, etc) like nobody's business. Sigh.

Awrg.
I need to go to a gyno and get checked out. I also need to go back on BC. My cramps are really a pain since I stopped taking it. The kind I got was free. It's not hard to lie to get it reduced/free, though. Not here, at least.
And nope, that was the only part I bothered to watch, but I looked online, and didn't see anything about it in that episode.

@Peeka;
I really hope that she'll be okay. I'm going to talk to her about it Monday, and see what I can find out. Problem with medication, everything she's been given she's been allergic to in some way, and that's why sometimes with problems, she has to just tough them out. Shampoo and soap has to be specially bought for her.

Yeah, that really does suck.
I just hope nothing is wrong with me too. I've been pretty crampy and I'm 2 days late.
gonk
