~ Introduction ~

1. First of all, PLEASE DO NOT POST IN THIS THREAD. If you have any questions, comments, etcetera, related to this thread, please send me a private message.

2. I chose to name my town Bhujerba, after the skycity from Final Fantasy XII, because I happened to be playing it when I started playing Animal Crossing again. The Bhujerba of FFXII is a magnificent city floating on the sky continent of Dorstonis. This is also why I refer to myself in my letters as "Marquis Andamo", because the leader of Bhujerba in FFXII is the Marquis Halim Ondore IV.

This isn't my first playthrough of Animal Crossing Wild World. I've had no less than five different towns since purchasing the game, and my last playthrough, which lasted through the summer of 2007, was my longest. Due to a character flaw, I can't just come back months later and pick up my town. Rather than face my angry neighbors and neglected town, I deleted everything and started over. My last town, Lanaryu, was nice. I sort of regret deleting it. But I'll work to make Bhujerba just as good, if not better!

Incidentally, if you have Andamo from Lanaryu on your friendlist, please delete him. He doesn't exist anymore.

This playthrough began on December 14, 2007. I did not begin keeping a journal until the night of December 31, 2007.

| About Bhujerba |

Bhujerba is a quaint little seaside town. We have a museum, which upon arrival was both ridiculously and inexplicably empty, and a café. We have an excellent shopping plaza, with Nookington's Department Store, the Shampoodle, and the Able Sisters' Tailor Shop adjoining.

Bhujerba is just bursting with color, even in the midst of the frigid winter! Here in Bhujerba, you'll find large plots of flowers all over the place. This is due to my patented system for growing hybrid flowers. While patented, it isn't flawless, and I have yet to see the results I'm looking for...

Also adding to the color of Bhujerba is the multitude of fruits that can be found. Cherries are the native fruit of Bhujerba, but thanks to the kindness of Alix from Boston and Shin from Caketown, Bhujerba now has oranges, peaches, pears, apples, and coconuts.

As head of the Bhujerba Travel Bureau (BTB), it is my duty to inform all potential visitors to our fine Bhujerba of the rules. If you cannot obey these rules or show common courtesy, kindly keep out!

1. Don't run near flowers!
- - - - I'd prefer you didn't run at all, but that's excessive. DO NOT TRAMPLE FLOWERS.

2. Don't cut down trees.
- - - - If Bhujerba is in need of deforestation, we'll be sure to call you, but until then, kindly leave your axe at home.

3. Don't shake fruit from trees if you don't intend to take the fruit.
- - - - This is akin to littering. Don't be a litterbug!

4. Don't leave rude messages on Bhujerba's Bulletin Board.
- - - - It's just not right!

5. Don't do anything that will damage my town irreversibly.
- - - - Malicious seeds and seeders. Hopefully, I won't come into contact with you.

Now, if you can follow those simple rules, here's what you can do in Bhujerba.

1. Explore.
2. Purchase goods from Nookington's Department Store or Able Sisters' Shop
3. Get your haircut at the Shampoodle (assuming that's possible...)
4. Visit the citizens of Bhujerba in their homes. *****
5. Collect fruit.
6. Go fishing and/or bug catching.
7. Use the Bulletin Board.

***** In some cases, you may be asked to refrain from speaking to a particular citizen. If so, please avoid contact with this citizen. Thank you.

If you feel this information is insufficient or have any questions, please alert us at the Bhujerba Travel Bureau immediately, and let us know how we can better prepare you for your trip to Bhujerba. Thank you.

| Journal Entry 001 |
Monday, December 31, 2007 & Tuesday, January 1, 2008

The New Year’s celebrations in Bhujerba began promptly. Tortimer gave out party poppers. They’re nice, but I wish he’d hand out more than one... I’ve saved one for later. Tortimer seemed very happy. I bet he gets bored in the Town Hall.

Anyway, the music playing throughout town changed as the New Year approached. It was nice, but the music that began to play just as the New Year began was wonderful! I wish I could listen to it all year long!

Who am I? Please excuse me! My name is Andamo, and I am a citizen of the town of Bhujerba. I like to call myself the Marquis, but most of my neighbors call me A-town or Dr. A. I moved into Bhujerba on December 14, 2007; so I haven’t been here very long.

One of my neighbors, Drake, wants to move away. I don’t really want him to move, so I asked him to stay. He seemed dead-set on leaving, though; so I guess I’ll just have to wait and see if he’s still here in the morning.

In the evening of the 31st, I visited Shin in Caketown. This was the second time I had visited her town. The first time was to plant some fruit trees for her, but this time was just for a friendly visit. I ran into Kiki, who moved from Bhujerba not too long ago. I was thrilled that she still recognized me! Ironically, Kiki was getting ready to move from Caketown, but Shin made a strong effort to convince her against moving. I was also introduced to an interesting guy named Stitches. Stitches looks like a big teddy bear, and his house is almost as cute as he is. If Stitches ever moves to Bhujerba, I’ll keep him so happy that he’ll never want to leave!

Tom Nook decided to close up his shop for renovations again. I just think it’s foolish to close the first day of the year, but I don’t really have any say in the matter. I just have to wonder how much bigger he can make his shop. It’s already twice the size of the Able Sisters’ shop!

Several of my neighbors have taken a sudden interest in horticulture. Jeremiah, Curly, and my new neighbor Bunnie, all have started gardens. I gave them a bit of a helping hand. My thumbs are rather green, if I do say so myself. I happen to be collecting hybrid flowers, so I might have placed the flowers in certain patterns. Bunnie told me that she’s on good terms with the flowers. She even says she can speak Flowerese! I’m kind of skeptical though...

Speaking of plants, I weeded Caketown for Shin. I found three Lucky Clovers! Talk about lucky!

Who knows what the New Year will bring? Not me, that’s for sure!

~

Well, I went to sleep shortly after Bhujerba rang in the New Year. I slept in, but when I woke up, I found a pink cosmos in front of Nook’s Shop! Like I said, Nook has closed up his shop today. It’s rather inconvenient.

Everyone sent me a letter today about the New Year; I thought it was nice. Also, Drake decided not to move. Maybe I’m really convincing? More likely he just didn’t really want to leave.

I made another Snowman today. I’ve become rather skilled at it, if I do say so myself. Right now, my house is filled with Snowman furniture. I like to watch my big Snowman TV.

I’m getting kind of tired of all this snow. There isn’t much to do in winter. I can’t wait until spring!

I’ve been saving up money for a while. I haven’t made much progress. I have about 200,000 bells saved in my account at the Town Hall, and I have about 50,000 bells on me right now. I need to get Nook to make my house bigger again, because I’m running out of room. The reason I’ve been saving is because I’ve seen crowns in the Able Sisters’ shop. They cost a lot of money, so I want to have enough the next time the crown ends up in the store. I haven’t been paying my mortgage because I’ve been saving. And since I can’t sell anything to Nook today, there’s not much I can do in terms of making money.

I checked my mail this evening, and I was surprised to find another letter from Kiki. She sent me one before, but this one wasn’t happy. Her letter said...

After you left, I just stared into space.
I waited for you to visit us today, but...

I feel horrible! But she can’t expect me to go visiting foreign places every day! If she misses me so much, she shouldn’t have moved away in the first place! Awww... I feel bad now...

But on the other hand, Tortimer gave me a letter telling me my fortune for this year. It says I’m kinda lucky. I suppose that’s better than unlucky.

Bunnie randomly gave me a Cabana Dresser. She said it was because I looked like I was bad at budgeting. Am I really so transparent?! Anyway, I appreciate it. Bunnie is my favorite neighbor at the moment, and not because she just gave me a present!

Wednesday, January 2, 2008

Accursed insomnia! I found myself unable to go to sleep last night; so I decided to take a walk around town around 2:00 in the morning. I was surprised that some of my neighbors were still up.

I ran into Pompom, and she showed me a very interesting letter she received. It said,

The less a person accomplishes in a day,
the more he talks during meals. But that’s OK.

I wonder who wrote her such an interesting letter?

I also talked to Bunnie, and she asked me, “If you saw a shooting star, what would you wish for?” I was tempted to say, “Sleep,” but I decided on, “True love.” Bunnie said one of the most insightful things I’ve ever heard one of my neighbors say,

Aww... that’s a sweet choice, but can I give you some advice?
You’ll only find it when you stop looking!
It’s weird like that.

She was very serious. How adorable!

I didn’t stay up much longer after that, but I did manage to catch a couple of fish, including a tuna!

I slept in really late. I didn’t get up until almost noon! But when I got up, I decided to visit Nook and see his new shop. It is immense! It’s called Nookington’s, and it has two floors! He’s hired help, two raccoons named Tommy and Timmy. They look exactly like Nook, but Drake told me that they’re not related. Hmm... Anyway, there is also a salon on the first floor. A poodle named Harriet works there. I might get a haircut later.

I walked around for a while, and I happened across a giraffe in front of the Town Hall. I introduced myself. She said her name was Gracie. She has a ridiculously tiny car. I don’t see how she can possibly fit in it. She’s some sort of fashion queen or something. She liked my outfit: a noble shirt, four-leaf clover, and funky glasses. She wanted to give me a test, and she seemed really pleased with my answers. After the test, she gave me a certificate and said,

Eye contact is your best accessory!

But when I looked at the certificate, she called me a redneck! She gave me a moldy shirt! How rude! But I’m not one to hold a grudge, especially against such an ugly giraffe. I talked to her some more and donated 5,707 bells to her “cause”. She gave me a Splendid Shirt, which she said is one of her exclusive fashion designs. I’m not too impressed with it, but I think I should probably keep it. It is exclusive, after all.

I made another Snowman. They keep sending me gifts, and who doesn’t love gifts? But I have extras, and I’m starting to consider selling them. Other than chairs and maybe another table, I don’t think I need anymore.

Curly seemed in a good mood today. He just ran up to me and gave me a pinball machine! Color me surprised! And then after that, I found a pink tulip! How exciting! I’m considering starting a hybrid shop. I’ll sell hybrids to people in other towns! But I’ll need a surplus to start.

I saw some balloons flying in the sky today, and I shot them all down. One of them had a Golden Slingshot in it! Now I have two golden pieces of equipment.

I was checking up on all my neighbors today. Aurora is sick again. She was sick a week or two ago, and now she’s sick again. I gave her some medicine and told her to get some rest. Bones wants to move. I wish my neighbors would talk to me before they pack up all their belongings! Anyway, I tried to talk him out of it. I’d really like Robin to move. I used to like her so much, but she was so mean to me. So, she needs to hurry up and get out of my town!

Drake has suddenly taken an interest in fashion (maybe he talked to Gracie?). Anyway, he’s calling himself Fashion Lad, and he’s hinting that he’d like some new clothes. I’d buy him some, but I’ve already bought all the shirts the Able Sisters have in stock for today. Oh well.

I fished for an hour or two today. I’ve paid off some of my mortgage, but I’ve still got 200,000 bells to go. I think.

I decided to go shake trees this evening. A risky habit, I know. I did get stung by bees. Four times. But I also successfully caught one and sold it to Tom Nook. I wonder what he does with all the bugs and fish I sell to him?

Jeremiah decided that he wanted to visit my house; so he’s coming over at 11:05. When he came, he told me about how he had been accepted into Snowman society and how much fun he had. I wonder when that was?

Bunnie inexplicably threw out her ebony piano! I found it in the recycling bin and decided I’d take it with me. I don’t have any room for it right now; so, into storage it goes!

I never did get a haircut. It’s too expensive! I’ll get one when I have more cash to spare.

Thursday, January 3, 2008

I didn’t do much today. I woke up early and dug up some fossils. Only one of them was new. I watered all the wilted flowers around town and my red turnip. There were no hybrids today. I made another Snowman. It must be inconvenient, sitting in the same position until you melt...but they all seem happy, even when they’re just about gone.

I ran into Dr. Shrunk again. Last time I met him, he taught me how to blush. Today, he let me choose between four emotions to learn. I didn’t really like any of the choices, but I decided on agreement. So, now, when I agree with visitors or my neighbors, I can nod in agreement!

Speaking of neighbors, all my neighbors seemed pleased at the moment, because no one tried to leave today. I made sure to give Aurora some medicine again. I think she’s getting better, but I guess she has a really weak immune system or something. Oh well. I will help her in her time of need!

Even though I’ve been trying to avoid Robin, she caught up with me today and gave me a quiz on how to find my “inner self”. I don’t see what any of the questions had to do with my inner self, but I seemed to satisfy her. She gave me a comfy sweater, but I’m still wearing Gracie’s Splendid Shirt. Even though her letter was rude, I feel like a trend setter. No one else in town has Gracie’s styles.

Ironically, soon after Robin gave me the sweater, I ran into Drake, who insisted that I trade him for it. He traded me the gift that I mailed to him today, so I guess he didn’t like it... I’m terrible at picking out gifts.

Redd sent me a letter with a password, so he’ll be visiting tomorrow. I hope he doesn’t sell me another fake painting. I really want to help Blathers fill up the museum! I shudder to think what Blathers thinks of me when I bring in something fake like that in as a donation...

Anyway, I went fishing again tonight. I have noticed something terrible in my town. Littering! I don’t know who is doing it, but someone is littering like mad! It makes me crazy! The amount of trash I’ve found in the river and ocean is deplorable! Inexcusable! I want to talk to Tortimer about this outbreak of ecological indifference, but he almost never comes out of the Town Hall, and when he does, he refuses to talk seriously about anything! I’ll have to deal with this menace on my own.

I paid off a little bit more on my mortgage. I’ve got 150,000 bells to go! I wish fishing was more lucrative...

Nook was offering to buy turnips for over 100 bells a piece yesterday, and I didn’t sell. Now I’m regretting it. Here’s hoping he offers a decent price tomorrow or Saturday.

And I still didn’t get a haircut. But I thought about it!

Hurrah! Nobody tried to move away today.

I went about my daily business, as usual. I dug up some fossils and donated them to the museum. I watered my wilted flowers and red turnip. I talked to my neighbors. Aurora is better, thank goodness. She gave me a present for taking care of her in her time of need.

I visited Crazy Redd’s tent this morning, and I bought everything he had in stock. I bought a Lovely Armoire, a Classic Sofa, and a Quaint Painting. Surprisingly, the latter was not fake, and I promptly donated it to the museum. Now my museum has two paintings!

I have a confession. I made a bad snowman today. I was so embarrassed! It was because I broke from my normal snowman-making routine and tried to do something different...

I’ve become slightly disheartened about trying to grow hybrids. I have vast expanses of flowers placed in very particular patterns, and they just won’t spawn hybrids for me! Also, Pelly and Phyllis keep telling me how the town needs more trees, and I can't plant trees when I have all these gigantic flower plots in the way! I have been trying to grow trees, but most of them won’t grow. I think I’m really bad at picking spots for trees. They looked okay though...

Anyway, I’ve been planting seven flowers a day since Nookington’s opened up, and I’ve purchased seeds and planted five or six trees, but only two or three have actually grown. My two coconut trees finally bore fruit; so I planted four more coconut trees along the beach.

Pompom has taken a liking to Lovely Furniture. So, I gave her the Lovely Armoire I bought from Redd. I was going to give it to Bunnie instead, but Pompom asked for it... Nook had an Exotic Bureau in stock today, so I gave that to Bunnie instead.

Drake is still calling himself Fashion Lad. But he’ll come up to me and begin to cry, saying that he doesn’t have anything to wear in the bathtub. You don’t wear clothing to take a bath! But this evening he asked for something specific, a Spade Shirt. I didn’t have one on hand, so I ordered one from Nook. Hopefully, Drake will still want it tomorrow.

Bunnie seems to like me, but she hasn’t given me her picture. I wonder why. I’d really like her picture.

I got stung by bees again today. You know, I used to be good at catching bees. I caught four bees in one day before. WHAT HAPPENED?!

I am so sick of my new town tune, but I can’t find a suitable replacement...

Today, I got up and stepped outside, as usual. Imagine my surprise when I find Robin waiting for me. Robin went into one of the sweetest speeches I’d ever heard, and gave me a birthday present, telling me that all my neighbors chipped in to get it. It was a birthday cake. That’s right, today’s my birthday! I was so touched, especially considering how hostile I’d been toward Robin lately...

After that, I had a letter from everyone wishing me a happy birthday and a present. I was so happy!

Bunnie gave me her picture this morning! I was ecstatic! I took a walk around town and found a pink tulip! I have three pink tulips now. Aurora left her house for the first time in a week, because she’s been so sick.

Unfortunately, Curly has decided to leave. I really like Curly, but we’ve never really clicked, so I think I’ll let him move. Au revoir, mon ami!

The Able Sisters had a Halo in stock today, so I bought it, but I’m still wearing my four-leaf clover. The Spade Shirt I ordered yesterday came in, and Drake still wanted it, so I gave it to him. He said his uncle had one just like it. Drake told me that he doesn’t like Bones. I don’t know why. He doesn’t like Aurora either, and Aurora is really nice.

Bones has taken an interest in fish and fishing. Mostly the fish, I think. He said he was collecting “friends”. Anyway, we had two contests to see who could catch a certain fish first (sea bass and dab), and then he wanted to have a contest to see who could catch the rarest fish. I won all three (I won the last contest with a football fish). He was a good sport though. Like I said, I think he just wanted fish.

Bunnie decided to visit my house this evening. I ran into Pompom and Bones, who were talking about Nook. Pompom wanted to know when Nook’s birthday was. Bones said it was January 28, but he wasn’t sure. So, Pompom asks me if I know what Nook’s birthday is. I tell her I don’t know, and both of them get all mad! How should I know what Nook’s birthday is?! He never told me!

I’m completely altering my hybrid growing patterns. I’m tired of a lack of results. I’ve run out of places to put large amounts of flowers, so I’m breaking them into smaller portions and placing small sections of flowers all over Bhujerba. I’ll just have to see if it works.

There’s a constellation in the sky, called “I”, and my neighbors keep talking about it. They say “Elvin from L&S City” made it. The weird thing is...I don’t know anybody named Elvin, and I don’t know of any L&S City. They never talk about my constellation...

I made another bad snowman today. I’ve decided to stop, partially because it appears I can’t make them right anymore and partially because they’re taking up space that would be better spent on flowers or trees. I already have the entire Snowman series.

I need to buy a new axe; my current one is almost completely shattered. I bet I couldn’t even cut down another tree with it. I’ve been cutting down trees that are blocking my neighbors’ gardens. But don’t worry, nature lovers, I’m planting new trees in more appropriate areas.

Anyway, even if the new flower patterns don’t work, I’m pleased with it. Rather than complete chaos, it’s controlled floral chaos.

I went to see K.K. Slider perform. He performed Mountain Song. It was good. After the show, I talked to him again, and he was interested in the Country Guitar that I got from Wendell the week before last. He asked to trade for it. Now, I have an autographed picture of THE K.K. Slider! Isn’t that awesome?!

Last night, I decided at the last minute to set out some of my hybrids (I’ve been keeping them in storage) in hopes of making more hybrids. Well, it didn’t work, or it hasn’t worked yet.

My lone black cosmos flower is wilting (I placed it next to two pink cosmos), and one of my three pink tulips is wilting. I watered them many times of course.

Today, I bought another pack of Red Turnip seeds from Joan. I now have two in storage. I’ve been cultivating the current Red Turnip I have planted for a very specific reason. You see, if I give Wendell a Red Turnip, he’ll give me a special item. I got one of the items, which is how I got K.K. Slider’s picture. Now I need the other one. I heard a rumor that if you feed Wendell a fully grown Red Turnip, he’ll give you the other item. So, this Red Turnip is full grown, and I just need to continuously water it until Wendell comes back again. I sure hope he comes soon. Of course, because I’m waiting for him, he won’t ever come again.

Curly didn’t move, but he’s still got his things packed. Maybe he’s wishy washy like me?

Pompom is crazy about Lovely Furniture. I keep giving her more and more, but it’s never enough!

Drake is crazy about specific pieces of clothing. I keep giving him more and more, but it’s never enough!

I paid off my mortgage today! Tom Nook offered to add another floor to my house, and I really need the extra room. So, I agreed. He said construction would be complete by tomorrow morning.

I visited Mango in another town today. I did some shopping at the Nookway in her town. Her town was completely covered in weeds! I didn’t weed her town, but I did find four lucky four-leaf clovers!

Mango came to my town to pick fruit, since all she had was pears. She visited for a while.

Well, I had two hybrids this morning, but none of them spawned from the hybrids I already had set out. I have another pink cosmos, bringing the total to three, and I got my first purple pansy!

Curly moved away, and a frog named Drift moved in. Drift looks almost exactly like Jeremiah, but they’re different colors and appear to have completely different tastes in hobbies.

It snowed today! This is the first day it’s snowed since Christmas. Of course, no one in this town has even heard of Christmas. I tried to explain it to them, but none of them cared!

I met Pete, the mailfowl today. Um...I actually...kind of shot him out of the sky... He wasn’t pleased about it, but he doesn’t need to know I was the one that did it, right?! He was so busy that he wouldn’t talk to me.

I was hoping Wendell might show up today, but alas, no.

I’d been collecting these strange little things called gyroids. But I decided I’m not going to do anything with them and sold them all to Nook.

I got a haircut today! I’ve got blond, spiky hair now. I may go back tomorrow.

I just realized Drake is sick today! I went to get him some medicine. I told him to lie down, but he just keeps pacing through his house.

Jeremiah came to my house today. He said my house was a pigsty. At least my house is furnished! But then he said, “I’d have to give your room five stars out of five stars.” If I had some spray paint, I’d spray graffiti all over his house!

I caught a lot of pricy fish last night, so I was able to sell them for a pretty good profit this morning. I was disappointed, because Wendell didn’t come. But when it seemed like I wasn’t going to have a special visitor to my town today, I spied a familiar UFO in the sky. I quickly shot it down.

I was right, it was Gulliver! After he woke up, I agreed to help him fix his ship. I quickly searched the town for the pieces of his ship. When I gave them back, he gave me a Pagoda.

Still, I kind of wish Wendell had visited me instead of Gulliver.

I found an orange cosmos this morning, but it didn’t spawn from any of my other hybrids. I placed it next to them. My little hybrid shop plan is going nowhere slowly.

Drake is still sick.

I’m becoming extremely agitated about the ridiculously large amount of litter in Bhujerba’s waterways... Last night, I caught so much garbage; it was disgusting. I was going to fish again tonight, but the garbage started piling up again, and I didn’t. I wish there was a way to stop all this pollution! I’m fishing for fish, not trash!
