I left my trumpet at a bus stop once when I was younger and realized it as soon as I got to school. Luckily I was able to call my mom and she picked it up and dropped it off at school for me. I was freaking out the whole time though. xd

It's kind of hard to loose a baritone...but I have managed to loose many accessories such as lyres and music and had them turn up in weird places.

I've never really lost my tuba, bass trombone, piano, or drumset, but... I've lost my tuba and bass trombone mouthpieces a lot and every time I lose one I have to run around and look for them for hours. D:

A friend of mine would call this a hilarious story, I just call it a 'I'm gonna kill her when I have the chance' story.
So, when I played trombone last year, I was in musical practice after school (for the female chorus... another story). I had my trombone with me in the school basement at night... and had to go with the teacher upstairs to photocopy something at the end of practice, so I gave my trombone to my friend to watch while she was talking to someone downstairs while I went upstairs.
NEVER TRUST YOUR INSTRUMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE!!!!!
I ran around the entire school looking for her and my trombone. I was so worried, I was freaking out... I was almost in tears. Then, while walking past the door to the basement, the teacher and I heard pounding from the other side...
Turns out the teacher had locked the basment doors, not realizing there were still a couple of students down there. My friend laughed like crazy, and I was furious. That was probably my first fight with her (once again, another story). So in the end, I was hugging my trombone and storming away from her.
She hasn't been left alone with my instrument yet.

I managed to lose my trumpet in my own classroom because I forgot it was there and thought I'd left it in the music room....I spent about 3 hours searching for it.
I also have something of a grudge against clarinets (not the players, just the instruments), as I once lost a valve cap (and because of the shape the valve would get caught down without the damn thing) in a clarinet case with the instrument inside it. Bah! xd
