Hello there, this is my first topic, so please don't eat me.
So, today my guild and I were having a party in Goldshire, and apparently Blizzard doesn't like it when you go on the roof of the inn. sweatdrop
Anyway, we're all standing there and suddenly this floating person appears and says "If it's at all possible please move to the ground, I'll make it up to you with some tricks." So I was pretty much thinking 'Oh dear, we're all getting banned.' But we didn't, he just hung around for a while doing tricks then he left.
So, has anything like that ever happened to you?

That's it.. I'm doubling my efforts to try and get to the top of the Inn in Goldshire.
I know how to get to the roof of the Blacksmith but I seem to fall short to get on top of the inn, I can only make it to the mini roof above the door.
I wanna see a floating person! lol
You get any screenies?

Oh well, I don't know how to post screenies anyway. They just sit on my computer and look pretty.

skeptical cat is skeptical
While being on top of the inn may not have been an intended feature, there's really no downside to letting players stay up there if they've got there...it's unlike them to force you down. ...and to float from the sky and do tricks. Srsly, WTF?

She's telling the truth, I'm her sister and I can testify that she was just about having a heart attack when she came to tell me about it. biggrin
Anyway, about the scariest thing to happen to me in the game was when I was playing in first-person perspective, watching the dragon in the Twilight Grove in Duskwood. I was thinking about how easily it could eat me alive. Then I turned around, and it turns out that someone on their tiger mount was right behind me. All I saw was a mouth and two huge fangs. I screamed out loud and backed my character off the cliff. The guy just laughed at me.

I have a question regarding this.
Why is it bad to be on the roof on the inn? I guess if the town is being raided, the attacker can't attack you back (which I can see as an exploit) but if you are just hanging up there not attacking people. I don't see anything wrong with that. personally.

So have I--in this thread. Either they can't or they won't ban you for that, and they always whisper, not come in person, if they do anything at all besides fix it in the next patch. If you don't want to be accused of lying, you shouldn't tell such absurd lies. wink skeptical cat continues being skeptical

I've been under SW quite a few times, in the space between Ashenvale and the Barrens, and I once spent about a week haning out in Mount Hygal. They never noticed. I think I'm done with all that stuff though, may as well not take chances.

GM's do it all the time. A friend from my guild was in SM Cath and the door was bugged and so wouldn't open. They called a GM and they ended up sitting with him for an hour, the GM gave them all cake (WTF LOL) and did tricks / teleported them.
Guess you just need to run into the right GM.

Yeah, a GM who is mainly only known to talk to people via whispered did tricks and danced with us after telling us to GTFO of a roof!
