Or it's just about the new year. In 70 minutes it will. I just want to post what I learned this past year. I learned that God is the Everlasting God, and no boy can replace his love. kept trying to do that, and would be disappointed when things didn't work out. But God will never disappoint me, leave me, or let me down, and it took me a few too many heartbreaks to figure that out.

Amen. Remember that, not only God does not abandon us, but He is the One who gives us everything we need, and who will bless us greatly if we follow His commandments. His timing is always better than our timing, and even when it doesn't seem so, we are to trust Him. After all, He is omniscient: we aren't. He knows what is best and when to give it to us in the appropriate time. Always keep in mind what Jesus said: "But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well" (Matthew 6:33).

Hey gang, I know this is not much, but there is an extra second added
( a 'leap second' ) before we begin January 1, 2009. Any goals you'd like to share for the coming year?

Wow... a 2008 thread. xd Anyways, guys, I really hope you all enjoyed the festivities and all that. Year 2008 was a difficult year, but we have seen God's great and loving mercy over us during that year. Now we are in 2009, where we can thank God for having been with us in 2008. At the same time, we can set new goals and objectives for our lives, put them in God's hands, and pursue them with the sight set on the things above.
I have about two or three years without making resolutions, basically because I always forgot about them by the second week of January, but for this year I have at least 15 resolutions, which are the following:
CHURCH/SPIRITUAL THINGS
1. Share the gospel with at least five people
2. Invite at least ten of my classmates to church
3. Finish reading "The Life of Elijah"
4. Write three new sermons
5. Be a man of good testimony wherever I go
6. Read the whole Bible again
7. Create JTT's website and designate its team
JOB RELATED THINGS
8. Buy a laptop
9. Get promoted in my job
PERSONAL THINGS
10. Get to hug E. and P.
11. Get a girlfriend
12. Buy a bike
13. Go out with M. on a date
14. Get a new friend around where I live
15. Write 50 poems
I hope in God that at least I can pass this "test" with 12/15. xp
