Snow was melting, but a certain unikalona could feel the clouds heavy with dry moisture that was saturated by the leaves. No need to even find a clump of snow left just to know what it would taste like. Her eyes would follow the breeze as the night was heading in only in the noon. Shades of slate blue clouds sheeted over creamy iridescent orange and cyan, making the grass almost appear orange as it had met a lake. Facing the east, it was odd that the sun's light could still shine ever so bright from how far from the surface of clouds it hid from.
Watching leaves fall across the lake, she felt a bitterness, not even understanding what it was. Territory was such a burden to fight for as her brother already won, and her sister in second. Knitting her brows only a smidgen, her steps followed the path above a sand path or so. Birds swam, but she couldn't- not as deep as the water was. Fish swam, but her wings were too heavy. Her reflection only peered to look like a shadow for her. "Yet, I'm no Onyx."
A jealous mutter echoed, but heard only one thing- something was near, but could be an animal, easily.

The snow was what had kept the Kalona's temper cool. When the snow had fallen he had felt less fo an urge to seek out his rat of a sister, the taint of his family's blood. It was the precipitate of his homeland, and to see it melt... It brought on a faint disappointment. Warmer weather was on it's way, and he, a horse from the mountains, was not very fond of the constant sunshine. The blue and white stallion heaved a deep sigh, his stride slow. He hadn't encountered anyone in a while since that fishy looking Soquili, the one that lived in water. It had been refreshing to meet another of a more respectable breed, as he had constantly run into lessers.
The only other Kalona he had the chance to meet was Malice, a Kalona mare who he had an intelligent chat with.
While he mused on this, he did not notice the black and white figure ahead by the lake. His senses often dulled when he was deep in thought, but his ears were unwavering. Persephonix picked up on the mare's words, and he immediatley lifted his head and paused in step in response. Was she talking to herself, or someone else? He took a deep whiff of the air, but found taht the only distinct scent in the air was that of another Soquili. He stretched his wings, his eyes wary as he slowly took steps towards the lake, but not necessarily the mare. His eyes assessed her figure from what he could see; she looked like a Kalona, a very well bred one at that. Her tail was sharp, and her hooves were clove, and her wings! But... He could not see her face from the angle, and thus unable to see that she was also part of ther enemy breed the unicorn.

The air was uneasy as it was perhaps, at the very next sound. The black tail swayed like a leather flail with irritated snaps now that it was obvious something was near of a heavier walk than a typical woodland critter. Her eyes narrowed at the water, only to pick up the same scent. Deadly- that’s what the very feel of it was. Though instant movement could be way too flattering she felt. The black tipped tresses fell over her eyes but flowed back to normal as she looked to the other being from near by as she did not directly make much of a turn. “What words of mine did have you heard, and of how much do you feel is your business?”
Snake like red eyes leered past her hair, but she kept her fangs in just to not scare this one off.
“Might as well answer as you are already here. A lion does not share water with the crock.” The term was that upon entrance there is no true determination of conversations unless an act is given. Words were better than running- away or to. Though at given, the bitterness of her said for her to attack either way, but she gave him the chance to be closer by words, or be further by blood. With that, her brows had met with the barely open eye lids.
She would tell him of herself but only when she felt he had earned such.
