Setting:
The slimy system of pipes and tunnels stretch from the slums all the way to the bay. Although the ideal system of travel with the subways no longer working, the sewers are largely unused due to the terrible mutants that live down there. With the malfunctioning cleaner bots left over from the cataclysm, these create hazards largely left alone by the common folk.

A short burst of maniacal laughte is heard from the shadowns.
"Most people. Yes. But it not because of the hazardous conditions. It is because no filthy human dares to approach me. I don't understand why. They're only tortured for a few hours and they can even see my body collection before they die...and are added to it!". Deep, disturbing chuckles came as drips of radioactive liquids were heard falling slowly and plopping onto the ground. "Ah, but of course!" Libby continued, "Nobody is here to listen. There was never anybody here to listen. That's why I kill them. But you musn't think that I'm cold hearted. I am merely putting them out of their misery." This time she laughed so hard there were a few snorts following. "Yes. Their misery. I end it. Otherwise they would just die like my mother. In fact, she died in the very place where I am standing. I can show you the blood stain if you want!" The voice continued to ramble to itself within the depths of the chamber. Libby was desperate for something to do or someone to kill. She sat in the soggy depths waiting for a challenger to dare to enter her domain.

A great roar came from the distance a large, if rather stupid looking, mutant came in from the upper sewers. His hulking form resembled that of a man, and his head played the part well. But there was something subtly wrong, as if the head did not belong to the body....
At any rate, the great beast came down with a tremendus crash and appeared to be battling a cleaner robot from ages past. Metal crashed on metal as the two embraced in battle, and attempted to tear each other apart.
Menwhile a small old man sat on the upper level, watching the two behemoths tear each other apart. His hair was long and white, and his eyes seemed to be glowing with their own internal light.

Sol sat silently in the gloom beneath an old manhole shaft, small creatures of odd shapes and sizes scurried around him but most ignored him or found him not much more than something to climb over, in the distance he heard the sounds of a battle and the faint chatter of what sounded like someone talking to themselves. He heard the screech of a nearby mutated rat as it was pulled into the darkness by a tentacle. 'so peaceful down here' he thought to himself, swatting away a grasping blood leech tendril that had decided he was worth attempting to snack on. With a mighty smash the sounds of battle ended abruptly, bringing an eerie silence to the tunnels. "guess that's my cue" Sol stated out loud to the darkness, as he stood up and dashed down the tunnel toward where the battle had taken place to see if he could find any thing good, before some other opportunist came along.

The old man had watched the battle in anticipation, really he got the best outcome. Both the mutant and the robot were too badly injured to fight anymore, but the robot wasn't badly hurt for there to be nothing to work with. He pulled a small device out of his lab coat, and plugged it into the cleaner bot's head. Causing it to frazz and stop.
He had begun reprogramming the machine, when he heard a sound coming down the tunnel. Slightly annoied by the interruption in his work, he readied his nanoids for a blast this visator would not soon forget. He turned on the gigantic headlights of the robot next to him, and was surprised to see that the creature rushing towards him was human. And one he knew at that.
"Sol, sol is that you?"

Sol slid to a halt at the sound of his name and peered through the bright light of the machine at the silhouetted figure standing near it. "that depends on who's asking" he said, his hand straying to the blade on his hip lest there be trouble "show yourself"

"Now boy, don't tell me you lost that wonderful brain you had! If you did i might just have to give you a good beat over the head. If you think really hard, even your thick skull should remember something."
The old man turned down the headlights a notch, to allow Sol to see his old grizzled face. The years had been far from kind to Shorn, and he knew it, but still there were deep lines on his face from his constant grin, and a slight gait of the eye that seemed to suggest something unnnatural.

Sol relaxed at the sound of his old friends voice "oh Shorn, it's just you, I thought you were something worth fighting." he said sarcastically "but what are you doing down here?

"Well, it is my job to fix the machines of the city after all. So i came down to fix this XSIN-10873, stupid thing found a mutant it thought looked like a pile of trash. Anyways, that is beside the point, what brings you to New York?" Shorn said using his nanoids to create a blowtorch.

"Well Right now I'm pretty much just loitering, I've been looking for something to do really, but nothing has presented itself as of late" Sol said, casually walking past Shorn and the robot to inspect the mutant "this is new, I've never seen this before." he said as he lifted up what was left of one of the mutants arms and pointed out the gears "it would appear that this was a cyborg who grew a bit out of his casing, seems even we aren't fully immune to the ill effects of this world" a somber tone carried through his voice as he spoke. Sol caught himself staring at the ground and shook his head, regaining his composure, before going back to searching the body for things he could use or sell.

"None of us are, but don't worry sol. Even the most advanced of machines may break," he said comfortingly "but there is always someone around to fix it after all. Ah! Lad, be careful with that one, I think it was an old atomic. Nasty things, could blow a good 5 block radius if you touch the battery."

Sol glanced over at Shorn and nodded, pulling his hand away form the power supply panel he was about to open, and throwing the arm away "so tell me, how have you been? I haven't seen you in almost three years now." he said, sorting through a few interesting piles of junk as he spoke

"Ah well, it hasn't been easy," Shorn replied "but then again is anything these days? The most major problem going around is the old Blue Fire is going out, and there arn't any chemists around that can make a new one. I was hoping that one of these monstrosities might have a power cell for it, but it doesn't seem that way."
Then Shorn got very serious.
"It only has two years worth of power left, and it is dropping at a faster rate than expected."

Leo dropped down behind shorn, some 15 feet away. "Hey you! what are you doing in the sewers? Wait a sec..." Leo said, rubbing his beard. "You guys look familiar... But who are you?" He inquired.

Sol turned his head to look over at the new visitor. He could not see him very well in the dark, and squinted his eyes to see. At last he broke down and switched over to night vision to look at the visitor.
"Just Shorn and Sol Leo," he said frowning slightly "now what brings you down here?"
