Though the middle child, he believed himself above his siblings, though he often times said that no others were above them. Yes, each of them had class, but because she was the only daughter of Shimshek and Taiyaung, it was obvious she was much, much higher in class and status then her brother, despite how he was older.
Xiaodan thought himself to be a god, and although Liang, herself, and their mother had tried to convince him otherwise it seemed absolutely impossible. Rolling her eyes, she brushed the thoughts of her family aside, willing this day to be free of her personal problems. Today she would most certainly find someone worthy of her attention... she snickered to herself. Yeah, right!

 Dorian yawned, and stretched out his teal wings. The day had grown dull, and there was absolutely nothing to do. After spending the morning admiring his own self in the frozen lake alongside his fellow alicorn Helios, the dark stallion had nothing to do with his time. He could always take a nap, but he preferred to keep the cold snow as far away as possible from his beautiful black coat. While his hair went along splendidly and his teal wings were remarkably gorgeous against the white snowy ground, Dorian was not one to enjoy the cold, damp, wet sogginess of it all. When was Spring supposed to arrive again?
Snorting, he tossed back a few loose curls and continued his path alongside the forest's edge. He would continue walking, exercising his firm legs, until he could figure out something to do to waste the day away with.

A shadowed figure at the corner of her eye caught her attention, and she quickly turned, thinking perhaps it was one of her brothers, for the outline of the figure spoke of it to be winged. However, she was startled to see that, though the new company that had appeared look quite stunning (though she would never say otherwise).
She paused as she stared at her breath that smoked away from her due to the chilly atmosphere, and considered, a moment, if she should introduce herself to her new companion. She turned an observant eye on the stallion, now that she had a clearer view of him and was able to make out his gender. She blinked, however, when she realized... He's... prettier... than... ME! Oh, that wouldn't do. Now she was quite angry.
Tossing her mane, she made her way over to the other in the most graceful, dignified way as possible. She wouldn't stand for this. If this stallion was prettier than her, that meant he was handsomer than her brothers, and that was impossible! "Excuse me," she spoke out, her voice making its way towards the stallion.

He paused in his walk to scratch an itch on his side with one wingtip, his eyes closing for a brief moment, weary of the bland white atmosphere that had been surrounding him for what seemed to be forever now. He wasn't a huge fan of the hot, sweaty summer weather, but the cold wet winter weather wasn't proving to be much better, in its own regards.
His eyes popped open, however, as he heard a shrill feminine voice address him. How a mare could have wandered upon him so quietly was beyond his comprehension, but he quickly shrugged it off, accounting it up to the fact he typically hadn't paid much heed to his surroundings anyhow, as of late.
"And what exactly am I excusing you for, darling?" he responded casually in return. It was evident that this golden yellow unicorn had a bone to pick with him, though, for the life of him, he couldn't recognize her face. Perhaps she had mistaken him for someone else? Though that, itself, would be very foolish indeed. Who else looked as gorgeous as Dorian aside from Dorian himself?

She tried hard not to scrunch up her face in annoyance and instead broke out into--what she hoped--was a sweet, innocent smile. "Ah, it's nothing, I was just trying to get your attention!" she said cheerfully as possible. Urgh... how do other mares -talk- like this!? She had once witnessed what she had deemed the most air-headed mare speak like this (a.k.a. the idiot named Icefall) and it had driven her crazy. Stupid mares probably got along better with the others below her status anyway.
"I was just out by myself wandering around and happened to see you out of the blue... literally." Mostly true, this... feminine stallion popped out like sheer black water against white sand, and the comparison was quite similar in that respect. From the way he was looking at her, though, she figured he thought they might have met somewhere--ha! yeah right, he wished!--and she ended up smirking to herself in amusement. Lamebrain, but unfortunately... he was still prettier than her!!
"Ah, so sorry, I didn't introduce myself," she finally said after a quick moment of silence. "I am Khepri. And you are...?" she raised an eyebrow, waiting for a chance to hound this prettied up buffoon. She wanted to pout and stomp her hoof in frustration but it looked like that would work and man, that would be so unlady-like.
